Nathan Fowkes is a true master. His handling of color and light is second to none; he can do wonderful landscapes and masterful portraits/figures. And, he has a lovely way of passing on that knowledge to aspiring artist. I mean, I could hear him talk about art forever. Also, all my friends who appreciate art, but don't do art themselves, to whom I introduce Nathan Fowkes are blown away. But you see, I think I've fund Mr. Fowkes secret. It's really simple, actually. Almost like the guy is cheating or something. I happen to follow him on social media. Facebook, Instagram or whatever. Don't care much for that stuff, but I do care about his content. And, I think this is his secret... Work hard. Consistently. Always. I follow others too, on FB and IG. I have yet to see anyone post as much work as Nathan Fowkes. It's like he works all of the time. Little sketches, studies, finished pieces... whatever. Unrelenting. What an inspiration!

Nathan’s a great instructor and awesome artist...I have gone through his Schoolism course on landscape painting twice...it is so helpful!
