I've been watching a lot of these type of tutorials lately, to learn how to use software and online tools for my remote table top rpg games. Yours is one of the best. Nice voice, with good cadence and enunciation. Clear instructions for newbies like me. Good job!
Wooh... I'm a GIS and Remote Sensing analyst. This software and your tutorials make me really happy while playing with geographic features at my free time.
really nice video, easy but detailed explanations that really help someone like me who have zero experience whit these type of programs and a calm voice makes the explanations simple to understand
Thanks for that! I listened back and thought about some things I can do different. Maybe when I release my Dungeondraft videos I will have some improvements :)
My girlfriend bought this for me today, already in love with it. I've noticed that zooming in and out moves the map to weird locations sometimes though; how do I centre it?
Hi, first of all, thank you for such an instructive video. I want to work on real maps. Can map themes ( Europe, Asia) be added under the pattern tab? Does Wonderdraft have such a package?
can you use these maps to build a game right on it with a good programmer i want to build a map but need to understand if this is just a map and not a playable map use to make a game on?
I just bought this app and I cannot figure out why when I generate land I get a thin semi transparent outline. I am unable to figure out how to get the manilla color to generate for land. What am I doing wrong
What I need to know is about the dimensions of the map. I need to a big map. Really big, because create a world with roads, mountains, trees, states, towns demands much space. (sorry about my english. I am from Brazil).
When I try to add land, it comes up the same color as the water, with the exception of a distinct border. Basically I only get land mass outlines. What did I do wrong?
What operating system? Glitches like this sounds like a graphics card error. Make sure your program is updated, your gc is updated, then reboot your computer.
"worn" texture didn't change to dark blue like yours did, if you have a custom setting or something it'd be great if you indicated that because im lost, everything is some shade of tan/brown no matter what theme i choose.
@@DnDBreakfastClub Well it wasn't the drivers, those were up to date, but the problem fixed itself after a few restarts so 🤷, but thanks for the response :)
Ok. This is possible and I'll walk you through it. 1) Start a New project in Wonderdraft. 2) Size this 1920x1080 or Full HD 1080p 3) Download this image from my google drive link drive.google.com/file/d/14kws1tlnAeoFBq3FNUNy2_EPzTqEvu1C/view?usp=sharing 4) In Wonderdraft, click Import. 5) Select this image from the import and it will drop in a perfectly sized country of Turkey! The trick to this is making the sizes exact. So the image I provided is 1920x1080, and your project size will match. You can do this with any preexisting map that is of only 2 colors. Since the outside is black and the inside is white, the program easily distinguishes between the two and can create a perfect map. Happy mapping!
Great and very pedagogic tutorials, I have just subscribed your channel, now I feel confident in buying this product, but before it, one question: Can we use a pattern map from google earth to re-build our own historical map and get the exact location of town, rivers, mountains and everything? Thankyou!!!

D&D Breakfast Club nice idea with putting the map in a globe. That said any projections of that type will be distorted especially to the poles.

Great video. Doesn't assume you know anything, which is good, because I don't. Nice pacing, and the music doesn't overpower his words. Super helpful.

Best Wonderdraft tutorial I have found; by far!

Great video, just snatched up wonderdraft and am very excited .
My girlfriend bought this for me today, already in love with it. I've noticed that zooming in and out moves the map to weird locations sometimes though; how do I centre it?
Ctrl + 0 will fit the map to your screen. This is not an easy key combo. I prefer to click the middle mouse button and drag to move around the map.
Thank you for the information. I'll be checking out your other videos.
How do you wrap your maps to find out what it looks like? Can you do it in Wonderdraft or do you need a different software?
Did you fid out? Just watched the vídeo and got the same question.
Very nice and concise explanation. Thanks

Wonderdraft is updated consistently by the developer. The version in this video is relatively recent.

Wath is D&D? I never heard of that thing in my life.
A roleplaying board game, where one person creates a narrative and map, and the others play within that space as their own characters.
Globe? The world is flat....

I made a video on how to import a black and white map which can only somewhat achieve what you are looking for.
