The picture of Dorian Gray is one of my favourite books. It has elements that you like - it's queer, unlikeable characters and absolutely gorgeous writing style.
A book I'm personally really excited for (that wasn't mentioned) is Loveless by Alice Oseman. I saw Aro Ace representation and Shakespeare and immediately added it to my TBR. (Great vid btw, I always love it so much when you upload!!!)
She's Too Pretty To Burn basically made book twitter explode when it was announced, it really does sound incredible and that cover oof Plus, I was scrolling through the list you put up on Goodreads and I saw you had Clap When You Land on it. I finished it yesterday and it was my first novel by Elizabeth Acevado and I can confirm it not only sounds cool but it's also heartbreaking and beautiful and hopeful, I'm curious to hear your thought about it once you get around to it!

I'm really excited for Common Bonds: An Aromantic Speculative Anthology. Because, well, there are not many explicitely aro books, and this one is not only aro, but speculative and an anthology? Like, that's a dream come true. Also, Alice Oseman's Loveless is about an aro girl , so I'm pretty pumped about that too

I am excited about Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes (new Hunger Games). I want to reread the series and then read this. We're also going to binge the movies. I am also excited for the Elizabeth Acevedo, Clap When You Land.

omg you HAVE to listen to the audiobook of Sleeping Giants by Sylvain Neuvel. It's light sci-fi and about space without going to space, plus the audiobook is a full cast and it's truly EVERYTHING. You would absolutely love it, especially if you liked The Test.
Yes Sleeping Giants! When I read Illuminae my first thought was that Sleeping Giants did it better. I read a physical copy and I still feel like each character has a really distinct voice and personality
honestly I'm interested in anything Shakespeare so to hear that one of Shakespeare's lesser-known plays gets an adaptation (All's Well that Ends Well) has me super excited! Also, I get through my short story anthologies by reading one story after each book I finish - that way I read the stories relatively close together but I don't get overwhelmed bc I confuse a million different characters, plots and settings like I would if I read them back to back :)

I’m excited for Across the Green Grass Fields by Seanan McGuire. I think you may like Eyes Of the Forest by April Henry, Doomed by Laura Pohl (The Last 8), THE WAY MADNESS LIES is DEFINITELY for you! Also maybe A Pho Love Story by Loan Le. One more that I’ve never seen anyone mention is Five Midnights by Ann Davila Cardinal. It came out a while back and is so unique and different. I think you might like it. She’s also coming out with a new one called Category Five in June 2020. Also Devolution by Max Brooks is weird but maybe sort of something you maybe interested in? Not sure since it sounds really weird. ❤️
I am excited but nervous about Concrete Rose..What I loved about The Hate You Give and On the Come Up was that both were written from a black girl’s perspective. It would be good to read about a young black youth having been in jail, trying to escape slinging dope, and being a teenage father. I don’t know if I have read a book about that. Most of the time what you hear is the tragedy, and it will good to read a success story.
I think you should look into Parachutes by Kelly Yang. They market it as a "Speak" meets "Gossip Girl" story I'm really interested in this and I think it'd be one you would be as well
Have you read Loveboat, Taipei by Abigail Hing Wen? It came out in January and has great Asian rep and is actually a hard-hitting YA contemporary romance! For upcoming stuff, you might be interested in A Pho Love Story by Loan Le coming out in Feb 2021. It's like a foodie Romeo and Juliet.

I am sooooo looking forward for the new Simon Beckett coming in Summer 2021. If you havent read any Simon Beckett yet, you should def try one (probably the weirdest one "animals"). I LOVE his David Hunter series but its most likely not your thing (crime stuff). However "animals" is a stand-alone and boooy... it made my stomach sick lol
