The USA never learns. The American government pursued war in Vietnam for years despite the peoples' protests. The government even shot protesters. What did that war achieve?
The American government pursued war in Iraq and Afghanistan for years, despite the peoples' protests. What did those wars achieve?
The government were brutal in their suppression of the civil rights movement. What did that suppression achieve?
Maybe the government should start listening to protesters instead of arresting them. They're always right.
