    I read the short story!
Lucas can't sleep. Mira gives him a dream pillow and tells him a story about a tree. He falls asleep and dreams of the tree. Turns out he has gone to Mira every night for help with sleep but he keeps forgetting. He wakes up and vows to never go back.
    Idk, it was weird.

I gotta say sleep paralysis is real and usually happen if you're so exhausted physically everywhere. I experienced this 5 or 6 times and seeing some scary stuff, you can't move your body even moving your toes or fingers, you can't scream your voice is like nonexistent and all you can do is close and open your eyes, and your heart is beating so fast that you can hear your own heartbeat and your survival instinct kicking in but you can't do anything

I get this a lot. I've kind of taught myself to chill now so usually when it happens I know what it is so I don't freak out. I also figured out a hack to get my movement back faster and it's kinda strange but what I do is mentally move myself like try to roll on my side and then after a few seconds I get my movement back. What's also strange is the mix of reality and dream elements during that state like you can see the real world but dream stuff kind of overlay over the real world and it changes certain objects. All I know from experience and from having a very long session the one time is that the dark figures aren't real and when you chill and kind of ride it out they don't actually do anything except hang around and look creepy. I specifically wanted my sleep paralysis to last longer the one time because I was curious as to why and how things work in that state.
It almost always happen when I'm super stressed or super tired from not sleeping well 2 or 3 nights in a row so trying to keep a good sleep schedule helps a lot.
The worst sensation I sometimes get with sleep paralysis is the sensation that I'm falling backwards as if my bed suddenly turned into an infinite pit. I one time nearly threw up from it because as I woke up it took a second or two to get my balance back 100% but I do have a bit of a inner ear problem that messes with my balance during my normal daily life.

I had a very bad sleep paralysis dream once. In the dream, my closet door was being violently shaken from the inside. The door was budging in and out, kind of like how cartoon doors do when a character is banging on them. In the dream my dog is laying next to me. I'm screaming her name, over and over again. The pounding is becoming faster and more. The door flies open. I instantly wakeup and sit up in my bed. I scream, loudly, my dogs name. All I hear is my dog, Lexie, growling and snarling viciously... at the closet door. She was in an attack position, head down, rear up. After about 15-20 seconds she stops. Looks at me and licks my face. She has never growled or snarled before, or since (minus the time at the vet, but I fully understand that). That was the only time that I've heard and seen her growl and snarl viciously and in the attack position.
Just the fact that Lexie was viciously growling and snarling at that closet door... I've never forgotten it. I hate going into that closet. I hate going into that bedroom. I don't unless I really have to, and only during the day. If I have to go in at night, I say sorry for interrupting whatever is in that closet. I don't sleep in that bedroom anymore.
I hope that I never have another sleep paralysis dream again.

My experience with sleep paralysis was:
1 - The only thing I could move was my eyes
2 - I could see, hear, breathe and think normally
3 - if I tried to talk or even try to move my body I would hear a sound that sounds like wind blowing in your door inside of me
4 - That's terrifying waking up like that not knowing what is that and trying to call for help and knowing that you are not able to do it makes it worse

I've had a few experiences with sleep paralysis over the years. The first one was when I was a teen and I had no idea what was happening. Couldn't move, didn't see anything, but I heard what sounded like a metal ball rolling down a sidewalk. The others I had when I was much older and knew what it was. Knowing what it is makes it so much less scary. Keeping calm helps break out of it. Also wiggling your toes and fingers since they're not fully paralyzed. Wiggling them makes your brain wake up faster. I lucid dream a lot as well. One time I tried to take control of the dream and instead fell through the floor and woke up paralyzed. Fun times. There's a documentary about it on Netflix for anyone that's interested!

The most recent time I swear I saw something in the doorway which then "leapt" at me. Woke up with a slight gasp and flinging my arm up in self defense. Also woke up my fiancée who just told me to go back to sleep...

I used to have uncontrolled diabetes AND was a heavy drinker. During that time of my life I would have boughts of sleep paralysis. It was definitely terrifying. I never saw any people/demons like in the game, but it really is paralysis. My eyes would open and my mind would be mostly awake, but my body wouldn’t move. My limbs felt very heavy, like they were made of stone. I knew what was happening, but couldn’t do anything. I would try biting the inside of my mouth to wake myself up - sometimes it worked. I usually just had to ride it out. I’m much healthier now- no drinking and diabetes under control and haven’t had an experience in years. Can’t say I miss it at all 😂

You've probably read through dozens of sleep paralysis comments already, but, best way to explain it is as though basically the entire rest of your body is still asleep except your head, and psychological stress or sleep related conditions is what usually leads to it. Seeing ghosts or other figures during it is just the mind going into turbo paranoia mode, and only leads to more nervous system stress, making it actually harder to break out of it since relaxing yourself back into a more sleep like place is what you're supposed to do to stop it faster. At least this is all what I recall from looking into it back when I had sleep paralysis.

If you want to experience a sleep paralysis just go to sleep thinking about sleep paralysis.
When I was younger I had one but luckily i was paranoid about it the night i first learned about it, so I slept with the covers over me while facing the wall.
When I opened my eyes all I seen was the wall with my blanket covering the top portion of my eyes so I couldn't see above me.
I could feel like someone was watching me.
I heard a voice start talking to me. It was acting like it was my mom trying to wake me up. Using her vocabulary and sentences that she would usually use. The problem was It was not my mom's voice. It kept saying "Look at me" and "I know you are awake".
It felt so real. I can remember being able to look around with my eyes but could not move a muscle. I hope I don't experience anything like that again.

Sleep paralysis sucks. I’ve had it since I was young, and it feels like your whole body is cramping. It’s like a dead leg/arm, but instead it’s your whole body, and you struggle to move but can’t.
It has to do with your body in REM sleep, but your brain is somehow consciously awake as well.

outer body is actually astral projection
sleep paralysis is not being able to move, physical and auditory hallucinations, you can feel things like movement or i’ve even felt like something was breathing on me. it happened upon falling asleep or waking up. it’s also extremely common with people with anxiety/depression and is horrifying
when i first started getting sleep paralysis i had the same exact “dream” every night at the same time for 2 months straight, it usually acts like most while i sleep on my back so for the last 9 years i’ve had a fear of sleeping on my back lmao. as an adult it mostly just started acting up after a friends death, i remember one where i felt like i was getting zipped up in a body bag, i even heard the zipper and i felt being carried in it. i think there’s a like connections between the spiritual world and sleep paralysis, you’re extremely vulnerable in that moment. so i don’t think it’s all a hallucination but that’s also me believing in the paranormal 😂.

I used to have sleep paralysis when I was a child, it was somewhat recurring and yes it feels very real because your dreaming of your bed and room, I slept on my right side which faced me towards the wall, when it happened I was wearing the same pyjamas and the lighting condition was the same as when I feel asleep, I didn't felt like being watched but I couldn't speak or move and I felt something dragging me extremely slow towards the edge of my bed the way I wasn't facing and since I couldn't move or ask for help to my parents I had a growing fear and anxiety until I reached the edge, and as I fell to the floor, right before I could see what was underneath my bed I woke up.

Second time I woke up and I couldn't move my body only my eyes and as I was looking to my window I saw a shadow starting to cover my whole body from above, that shadow looked like a dementor from Harry Potter, I couldn't fall asleep after that the same night.

For some reason, thinking about it now it doesn't terrify me that much, but in my state were I am unable to move, I feel something close to panic : it feels real, like I'm really there being looked over by clan members and unable to move, and it is not a short feeling, it's like it's happening for minutes at a time.. only have it a dozen time in my 38 yo lofe so far, mostly when I have high stress levels... Best way to 'win' against it for me is 1. I accept it will happen to me, 2. knowing what and why it is happening.

I've only ever had one experience with sleep paralysis and it was many years ago now. It wasn't very exciting cause I had known what it was once I woke up. I remember waking up on my back and trying to look around but I couldn't, then I realized it was hard to breathe like something was on my chest and I tried to call for my parents but couldn't. I realized it was SP cause of it being hard to breathe and I was like "I don't wanna know what my sleep paralysis demon looks like" and closed my eyes again. 🤣It was probably only a minute but it felt like an hour, the whole time I kept my eyes closed while I just really slowly FORCED myself to roll over. Literally just rolling over felt like the hardest thing I had ever done but as soon as I was on my side I had broken out of it and was just out like a light til I properly woke up in the morning. A minor case for sure but it still scared teen me back in the day lol. I have a friend whose deals with it a lot and they're pretty used to it at this point. They usually see an old man in their doorway and things like that.

SP is not actually a paralysis. Its a dream, ur eyes are closed and moving like in RAM phase. It caused by exhaustion, having difficulty breathing or psychological problems. What is fascinating is that if u have Insym VODS on, u will not get it(anything actually) cause u have to be in absolute silence to get it

not true. I dreamt of SP and got a few true ones as well, and my eyes were very open. Once i got visual hallucinations (i wont tell cause that's very cliché and some ppl might think i lie) but i remember it fading out by merging with the background and i didn't blink at all. I just moved and woke up.

Will these VODs stay here forever? Don't they steal attention from your main VOD channel or the videos that you spend time editing?

Yes a couple times when I was younger but you really can’t move but all you get to do is say your not real your not real your not real your not real and it will stop idk why but if whatever knows that you know that’s it’s not real it will stop

    Are the ads permanent?

    • @Insym
      @Insym  วันที่ผ่านมา +5

This is only for Twitch of course. But if it works out better then they'll stay. It's a trade off, having ads removes the pre-roll ads that show up as you click on the stream. Which means that especially for new viewers you don't have to sit through a bunch of ads right away. This will hopefully give more people a chance to join the community without being scared off.
We'll also try to make sure that we're not doing anything super massive during the ads. It's only 1 ad block per hour, and of course subs and Twitch turbo users don't have any ads.

@@Insym here on YT the vods have maybe 3 or 4 ads, and when i'm going to sleep they wake me up faster than something happening in the game you're playing (any vodsleepers 😴)

Lately you are kinda ruining the vibe of the games with the jokes and laughing and stuff. You are taking away the atmosphere and the environment that the games create, ruining the thrill of the games... Specially on the first one.

I have sleep paralysis often enough to be anxious about sleeping a lot of the time. I never see scary monsters or anything, but the sheer terror of being “awake” but not being able to move or scream makes it bad enough 🥲
And then waking up and questioning if you’re actually awake is terrifying af.
