That can really help, especially when the dollar amount in dispute isn't enough to justify the out-of-pocket cost of a lawyer.

So when you need help, do you just share your legal insurance info with your lawyer for example? Or when is the best time to bring it up? What if you paid upfront for a legal fee but didn't realize you had legal insurance, is it possible to get some funds back? Or at least set yourself up for future requests?

Great question. Bring this up with your lawyer right away - don’t assume they accept legal insurance. Attorneys are not obligated to accept legal insurance, and many don’t. In general, it is a good idea to discuss fees right away with your attorney.

Can I use legal insurance to dispute costly medical bills and bill collectors trying collect payment from me? Can I use legal insurance if the hospital or collection agency tries to sue me?

It depends on your particular coverage, but I know that some plans do cover that sort of thing.

Hi, I have a legal plan via my employer. I get my first consultations free from lawyers in my network. As far as I know, I don't have a limit on how many I can contact at once. However, I'm still not sure if I contact multiple lawyers for the same reason, would I be on the hook for any premiums?

It is always fair to ask a lawyer before talking to them to see if they are charging your for the call. Don't hesitate to ask!
