The voice of an angel, the jazz knowledge of a legend and pretty darn easy on the eyes too. What a woman!
A singer's singer! What more can one say? It's the highest compliment ever.
Her voice just feels like a warm familiar hug that I don't want to end, I love listening to how she interprets the song as she goes along. Beautiful old-school charm delivered with such a warm gorgeous tone, absolutely divine!!
Monheit's group does not need any flash. Her voice is so amazing that Kanan and crew just need to stay tight and everything will be fine. Maybe a few tasty fills.
Jane is such a wonderful artist. I saw her in Oakland in 2017, and she was amazing. She sang a few songs in Portuguese and I was in heaven.
Not only is her voice good, she also matches the mid-Atlantic accent of the time. Very amazing!

I honestly thought no one could ever perform this song as well as Bobby Darin. I have been proven wrong. Not only is she better than Rosemary Clooney and Judy Garland, she is better than any of the jazz singers with the exception of Frank Sinatra. I sincerely hope her singing career has made her a multimillionaire because she deserves it,
Marvelous singer ... she swings so well .... her timing is flawless. I remember her as a young singer at the Oak Room in the Algonquinn ,,,,, she has perfect pitch ...

@@jacquelinepaul9731 To me ... the pitch is the sound of the note ... in a particular key, (Scale )the notes are all relative to each other. Perfect pitch is when the sound of each note, relative to each other makes for a more accurate and pleasing song. When someone is in good pitch, the sound is good. When someone is in perfect pitch ... you can tell the different. That's why pianos are tuned every once in a while. I sing in off key ... unfortunately.
She is just fantastic! So glad I found her. Great ensemble also!

Have to admit that i had a bit of trouble recognizing her in the glasses and non-glam get-up... i'd be honored if some Jane Monheit fans would take a quick listen to my acoustic TH-cam performance (keyboard & vocal) of WATERS OF MARCH, which was inspired by Jane's great interpretation of the song's English lyrics in her version with Kenny Barron.
