- We won't have Sean in this episode, so let's do a spoilery topic for House of the Dragon - the life of Cregan Stark, the Old Man of the North. We will be meeting Cregan in season 2 as a much younger man.

I think my favorite part of the Dance is after every other lord is like: ok, we've killed off so much of our population we can't keep fighting any longer...and then Cregan shows up and is like: Wait?!? I was promised the chance to kill off more of my population? WFT?!?!
Those kitties look so happy and loved
34:18 Ah, you missed the chance to say, "They don't give a ship" at the end of that shippiness
Haven’t checked you guys for a while but instantly knew what I had missed all this time. Great stream guys 😊
Thank y’all for all your hard work!! I love listening to y’all on Sunday’s while I work on my art work! Makes time fly by.
😂😂😂😂😂😂 fear less ness. You spread the giggles on that one.
It’s funny watching this after they already announced Cregan’s actor. And he was in the last kingdom. Lol
Awww,kitty kitty❤
Thank you for your content.
South- knock knock
North- who’s there?
South- another rebellion
North- a rebellion during the Winter? Ain’t nobody got time for that.
Awesome love stream, I love the old wolf of the north
The "armored bears" line reminds me of Phillip Pullman's His Dark Materials series
"and the Southern girls, with the way they talk, they knock me out when I'm down there....." Cregan Stark, probably
I don't particularly hate Cregan but I hate when fans overexaggerating his deeds and his importance in the war.
I have to wonder... given that all 6 Stark children were green seers/wargs and the astronomical chances of something like that happening to the children of Ned, who doesn't appear to have those talents... whether there was a Stark or green seer among the men who came with Cregan but did not return to the North and who ended up as Catelyn's grand father or great grand father. It just seems strange for all 6 children to have that special warging talent unless they also got a gene or two through their mother. I suspect it's like blue eyes... a recessive gene that only shows up when BOTH parents carry it. So... Catelyn's mother was a Wendt? perhaps she was the offspring of a Stark-Wendt match or something. I don't have the family trees... so for those who do, I'd love for someone to check.
There are rumors of skinchanging in the Whent line through the Lothstons, so many people theorize the Stark 5 do in fact get some magic genes from Cat! Starks aren't the only (rumored) skinchangers in Westeros, by far!
And then for Jon, if R+L does =J then the dragon connection gene might operate similarly to/strengthen any skinchanging genes. I mean, it's a psychic connection to an animal. (And then if you believe other parentage theories, there's tons of suspected magic in the Dayne family tree...)
I don't think Greenseer/Warg powers are passed on via Mendelian genetics.
Varamyr Sixskins sires countless children and never produces one, and neither of his parents seem to have any power. Nor do any of the Starks appear to manifest Warg powers UNTIL they find the direwolves.
Some houses do seem more likely to produce greenseers/wargs, so family decent does play some roll. I think having the right genetics from those houses maybe makes one more inclined towards having these powers, but whether they manifest in particular individuals is happening for magical reasons that we don't understand.
Such love illuminated
Not sure if anyone will see this to give an answer to and I also didn’t know where else to put it. Anyway, why are the blackwoods named the blackwoods? Was there a blackwoods forest? They worship the old gods and have the wierwood as part of their sigil. Why not call themselves the whitewoods?
Ill-considered past burning of weirwoods? One amazing event of being firemen in a Westwood forest? Fire seems a probable cause. But that's a fun question.
The Blackwoods is the old name for the Wolfswood in the The North, the Blackwoods used to hold that area until the Starks drove them south of the Neck. Presumably they kept the name to remember where they came from.
I'm down for more Last Kingdom actors! Finan and Sihtric as northerners. Alfred could be great for a maester or Varys like councilor type. Aelswith as one of the widows. Milly Brady can play Sam Tarly. Stiorra as Black Aly Blackwood. Also the guy who played Aethelred could be perfect as a Lannister.
We don't know of a Cregan Stark since then, but there's at least one Cregan Karstark so it's not a name cursed throughout the North.
Can you guys link the game stream you mentioned with Joe Magician? Sounds like fun.
Um… I certainly hope they don’t start a romantic relationship…if jayce reminds him of his brother??
Can wait for CK3!
