Hey Richard, do you have the full presentation of this somewhere? I am looking for the section on Pull backs. But if you have a video on all the short term patterns Matt discusses that would be great too
I have a "expectation breaker" story. Got into a trade where my indicators pointed to the upside. Watched as price went in the opposite direction the rest of the day. I know what i saw and said "f it", set a limit sell well above closing price, and held over the weekend. Market opened on Sunday and the limit sell was made. Trade successful.These market makers/algos were selling just to shake out peon day traders for a minor swing and as soon as that happened price went right back to where i thought it would go.
@matt, I am sorry as I might have confused you but what I want to know is the profit-taking exit strategy. When do you feel that it is time to take the profit (may be partial or full). Also, when do you add to your position? Appreciate it if you could explain. Thank you.

So basically, in a consolidation pattern, something like what Stan Weinstein would be looking at before a break out, this 3ema setup would be like fine tuning an entry, AND not waiting for the breakout, BUT getting very close to support... Looks like it's usually the 2nd candle after the candle that broke support...
