Hi All, I am a physical therapist, and I do mobile visits with people who are less "athletic" than the population who is probably viewing this channel (which I LOVE). I have owned, recommended, loaned, and trialed numerous portable-desk style of pedals and ellipticals. There are true differences in the variety out there, and for the person who is less mobile, recovery from surgery, disabled, has neurological conditions, etc these are AWESOME! The new ones do not make that squeaky noise. The thing about the Cubii is that the angle of the foot pedals makes it much more functional from a chair than many other seated ellipticals. Other ellipticals from a chair can be hard to get a full revolution and the ankle angle becomes to "flattended out" on some other ellipticals of its category (too much plantar flexion in ankle) which makes it hard on some people. So in summary, this serves a good purpose and is a good product, should not squeak, is great for certain populations who have a mobility or recovery issue. Just my two cents after 34 years of being a PT
@Kween jade And for your information I happen to be of that certain population myself. I am in my 60s. I've had a hip replacement I have multiple medical problems so yeah. I have POST COVID LUNG and since I started having trouble walking without getting winded I bought it so I could see if it would help me lose weight so my POST COVID LUNG would make me less winded. I have had a Cubii pro not a junior for about two years now and it doesn’t make any noise like yours did in the video. I still use it all the time and it is exactly what you say, it is not for burning tons of calories but for moving. I still love mine!
I got a cubii and it definitely isn't loud and squeaky like that one. It definitely isn't a crazy workout or anything, but it helps to get me moving while I'm working. Overall good for circulation and better than just sitting at your desk all day.
@@Samson-dn4eo I believe that the solution to stiffness and creakiness is movement. There is a saying the motion is lotion. And I believe that is true. Great video! I got the Cubii groove today. It was from QVC. I am happy so far. I spend a lot of time on my computer so this should keep me moving. I do gave and use a regular stationary bike so this is just to not be so idle when on the computer. Mine is quiet but I just got it so time will tell. I just wish I could connect it using Bluetooth with my phone. I downloaded the app but I don’t think my model has Bluetooth.
I've had and have used a Cubii Jr for years and it has never been noisy like that. Since you got it used it really isn't a valid review since you don't know how well it was taken care of. Bending down to change the resistance level is not the big deal you make it out to be. Also you mentioned sweating. Well if you're sweating then you are getting a workout. It's up to you how fast you want to peddle. IMO you were just looking for negatives. For me it was well worth the price. It also very close to the exercise you get on those giant recumbent machines that you see in physical therapy rehab. @@thaibruin nice, I could totally see the benefit to have this at a desk you spend hours working at every day, but man, $249 that's half the price you got your Echelon EX-15 for
Thanks for the video. I find the cubii as you say does some feet/leg motion while sitting. Seems to me sitting down and putting my feet on cubii, the motion feel is not like riding a bike. My feet/ankles seem to do more control of making the pedals go around rather than pushing down with the legs like on a bike. So my feet are doing most the work, while the rest of the legs are along for the ride/workout. I do some other upper body exercises while sitting doing the cubii, but these are on my own, has nothing to do with the cubii. Summary for me, the cubii is good to keep your legs/feet active while sitting. Whether it burns off allot of weight doing this device, not too sure.
I have a gym membership and am pretty active, but I bought this ‘cause I work from home and stare at a computer all day, so this device is awesome for moving while sitting, but especially because I get hyper and need to move. I got the product while it was on sale for less than 200 (150 plus tax i think)
Except for the part about the resistance levels. There's definitely a difference and you feel it even more after doing about 1000 rotations at each level.
I have the first silver edition (I think?) and I love it! My knees are damaged from my high school and college football days and I'm hoping this machine will help my knees
I'm thinking about buying it for a similar reason, had surgery for quad tendon rupture 2 yrs ago. Indoor bike really helps my knee with blood flow, hopefully this will provide the same benefit throughout the day.
Thanks for video I have a i under-desk treadmill I use now usually do 6-14 miles a day for the 6 by 11 am while I chart on computer but was looking for a another machine to twitch it up some… would you recommend for work from home jobs? I’ve also seen under desk bikes and steppers which do you think would be better
I read that dirt and pet hair can lodge itself in the Cubii's pedal mechanism, causing it to squeak. I'd try cleaning it before spraying it with a silicone product.
My gran had a stroke and is loosing coordination and muscle mass. Getting movement through feet knees hips whilst no risk of falling over seems appealing. If she over does it she might be too tired to walk after that. Mum is her cater and always close.
That noise is not common and should not be happening. Mine is pretty quiet all around. Unfortunately for me I can't use under my desk because it has a shelf and my legs hit it. I've had mine for about 7 months and hardly use it. If it were a treadmill I'd have clothes hanging from it.....LOL. But I plan to start using it soon on a more regular bases.
I have that same model as oin this video. Mine does not make any noise. Maybe that machine needs to be oiled with a tiny bit of wd40? It's a good little machine, I like mine, especially since my work requires that I am sitting for long periods of time. It's better than no movement at all. Its a great start for people who haven't been active or are really overweight and are trying to begin incorporating exercise in their new routine. It helps get you prepared for building up to more strenuous workouts in time. 😊
Mine didn't make any squeaking noise for the first few years but definitely did after about 4 years. It usually goes away after several hundred rotations. My wheels just cracked and broke apart a few days ago after 5+ years. Looking for replacement wheels.
I noticed you mentioned a weight limit. If you're seated, how does that affect the machine? I am over that limit, and need to find something to help with motion and balance.
I've had one of these for five years and there's definitely a difference between the 1st and last resistance level. The wheels finally cracked and broke a few days ago. I may buy some replacement wheels to get a little more life out of it. Also, definitely don't buy at full price. I got mine on for about $186 (I think)
Julian Ramos you have to pedal it yourself It does not have its own power. You could potentially wheel your wheelchair up to it lock your wheelchair. And then use the pedals
You complain a lot about needed to reach to the unit to change resistance. This unit is not a bicycle. It's a unit to set the resistance and then leave it for the time that you are using it.
I don’t have a Qubie but I do have really good model by a different manufacturer. It doesn’t make that kind of noise. Maybe some WD-40? That would drive me nuts.
Had hoped to see a review of will this be of use at a normal PC workstation, spec for tables says 27.25inch underside to floor, and what height is the heel area as being 6ft and a 23inch leg 4.25 inches at the max heel height during use would see table underside hit by leg. No data on this at all on the net on THE HEIGHT OF THE HEEL AREA, which is critical before buying ! Please measure that at rest and at max it gets to. Also we dont use vintage wooden chairs much so whats it like for a normall wheelie chair, does the chair end up moving etc. Exercise when at desk IS CRUCIAL for feet leg and health and PC use is the new killer.
Always wondered about this little machine..good for someone who is way over weight and just trying to get in shape..kind of waste of money..great video
It's not for the healthy who can jog, jump rope, lift weights, swim, ect ,but for circulation of lower body and for people with some limited, key word limited conditions ,for the elderly or people in office jobs they are helpful but to loose weight ,no,to warm-up before squats or a run for young people who are more likely to do heavier workouts. They are useful, but shouldn't cost more than 100.00 dollars it' doesn't have a digital computerized component ,yet.
There’s is no way you’d burn enough calories per hour to justify this thing for losing weight. But perhaps just getting some movement or circulation going it might be useful.
Why does he keep comparing it to the Peloton?!? No one thinks the Cubii is in the same class of workout equipment as a Peloton. I think he just wants everyone to know he has a Peloton... 🙄
Well there are hundreds of other stationary floor elliptical and peddler exercisers. If this machine is already worn after 4 months than it isn't durable at all. I like your review-- but at $249 or $349 like the pro-- it just seems like an overpriced, inferior product compared to other floor elliptical peddlers.

There is no weight limit. You’re not standing on it. I’ve had one for a few years and love it!!
I want one for the office just to annoy my co-workers with the sound of the wheels.
Lol! That's evil.
It's completely quiet 😂
Haha. Bug em. It's not totally silent. My cat heard it and almost got bonked in the head.
I received a Cubii for Christmas and just put it together. Mine does not squeak at all. It is silent.
I've had one of these for five years and there's definitely a difference between the 1st and last resistance level. The wheels finally cracked and broke a few days ago. I may buy some replacement wheels to get a little more life out of it. Also, definitely don't buy at full price. I got mine on for about $186 (I think)
Can I use it while standing ... ? like under standing desk ?
😆 probably not, you might want to look for one of those standing mini under desk treadmills
Would this work for a person that is in a wheelchair? Can they place they feet and it does it job on it own
Julian Ramos you have to pedal it yourself It does not have its own power. You could potentially wheel your wheelchair up to it lock your wheelchair. And then use the pedals
I got for my parent who are in thier 60s and 70s. Whatever help them maintain strength from a sanitary lifestyle
How often can one say "like" in 10 min.time?🤔
does the iwatch pick up movment?
Does this pedal it’s self or do you have to do it . I can move my legs so want something that pedals for me
where is this made?
I had stroke and right leg has tight muscle will this cubbie help.
Could you find a way to keep wheels from making all that noise? Is it possible to lubricate the wheels with the typical hinge oil?
i would recommend sewing machine oil.
You complain a lot about needed to reach to the unit to change resistance. This unit is not a bicycle. It's a unit to set the resistance and then leave it for the time that you are using it.
Not really a complaint, he's doing a review so he's discussing some negatives.
Are there cheaper models.
Please let me know m
I have a new one and it doesn't make any noise. Try some WD 40?
😳Maybe I'm the Grinch!
👀 The noise! 👂🎶
👀 The noise! 👂🎶
👀 The noise! 👂🎶
The stride seems very short looks like it would hurt the shins
THE WHEEKS SOUNDS LIKE THEY NEED DW40 FOR THE SQEEKUNG
I don’t have a Qubie but I do have really good model by a different manufacturer. It doesn’t make that kind of noise. Maybe some WD-40? That would drive me nuts.
Does it Have the app like the original one.?
No. You can get the version with the app. The Cubii Jr is called Jr for that reason which makes it cheaper than the one with the app.
It's like the Blue Tiger same thing
A little silicone spray or car wax would probably get rid of that squeak.
The real question is, who sits in a chair with no wheels at a desk?
It comes with stoppers for wheels on your chair
Good question. Next.
I just ordered the Cubii Jr2+ with Bluetooth to various health Apps and Apple Watch
Enjoy!
My Cubii Jr. started making the same squeaky noise and it is so annoying while I'm working at home. It's a distraction.
I have limited mobility, so this may work for me. Not a lot of calories, but combined with intermittent fasting…
Mine is quiet, a good workout for a beginner or older person.
One thing I’m not liking about it so far is the noise it makes. It shouldn’t be making any noise at all really
A lot of commenters have have there’s doesn’t make any noise
A little silicone spray will stop that squeaky noise. ❤
Great for physical therapy those coming out of surgery or healing and coming back to life from coma like myself.
I have a cubi and its quiet and I have had in Jan/21
Always wondered about this little machine..good for someone who is way over weight and just trying to get in shape..kind of waste of money..great video
I lost 126 pounds using the Cubii
Sure you did. LOL
. . . SERIOUSLY??? . . . How long?

@@davidfahey5068 LOL, sure you did.
@@davidfahey5068 . . . AWESOME! CONGRATULATIONS!!! . . .Sooooo happy for you! . . . How much tim did you spend on it daily?
Thanks
It's not for the healthy who can jog, jump rope, lift weights, swim, ect ,but for circulation of lower body and for people with some limited, key word limited conditions ,for the elderly or people in office jobs they are helpful but to loose weight ,no,to warm-up before squats or a run for young people who are more likely to do heavier workouts. They are useful, but shouldn't cost more than 100.00 dollars it' doesn't have a digital computerized component ,yet.
Mine makes no noise gets some wd40 perhaps
Good vid thx
My one have no noisy sound at all
There’s is no way you’d burn enough calories per hour to justify this thing for losing weight. But perhaps just getting some movement or circulation going it might be useful.
I used it a lot when I got it, but developed huge back , knee and ankle pain after about 6 weeks, don’t use it at all anymore
👋 where I live targeting cost ,$ 200.00
May be plus tax they also say sitting 🤔
So while your using it your sitting on your butt
That squick is a deal breaker.
The new models don’t squeak
If you put lube under the wheel it won’t be noisy
Size 14 feet..! You know what they say about people with extraordinary big feet, expensive shoes!
Big socks 🧦
There is an app.
mine works just fine got it new great mini workout no execuse boosts leg circulation Money well spent
Wd40 should fix that
OMG! Clean your socks. LOL! JK!
$2.49 sounds abought right price.
All your complaints about the lil thing are 1st world problems. Like smug complaints about little things, and about the sound, use some WB-40 geesh...
Why does he keep comparing it to the Peloton?!? No one thinks the Cubii is in the same class of workout equipment as a Peloton. I think he just wants everyone to know he has a Peloton... 🙄
I’m just flexing 💪 😉
Well there are hundreds of other stationary floor elliptical and peddler exercisers. If this machine is already worn after 4 months than it isn't durable at all. I like your review-- but at $249 or $349 like the pro-- it just seems like an overpriced, inferior product compared to other floor elliptical peddlers.
It really isn't. I have one and it is still working and quiet.
Hope you offered to sell her one of you MANY bikes if she is looking to upgrade!
Would have but she already got one, said something about it being a foldable bike
@@TailHappyTV oh....one of "those" people...haha.
