This is way cooler than those "professional axe throwing competitions". I'm not questioning that they are skilled, but it's incredibly boring with how close they are to the targets.
You have more skills than me in this arena! I appreciate your honesty and humility to not edit out the less than perfect attempts at "hitting the mark". Enjoy your day! 😇😎😀
I like that you show how many times you DON'T stick all three. I know a lot of people (myself included) that love knife/axe/hawk throwing but get frustrated when they/I can't stick consistently; so it's encouraging to see that even someone as skilled as yourself can miss sometimes. It's always that third one that last one that doesn't wanna stick!
Glad you enjoyed! And thanks for the comment. Throwing weapons are all about consistency. And it's by far the hardest part of the learning process, so I wanted to be honest towards that aspect. Tomahawks are arguably easier to throw than knives but a bit harder to stick in most materials because the corner is not as pointed as the tip of a knife. They can be frustrating to newer people due to them not liking to stick on the edge but only the corner. Obviously consistency is key, but aiming for the corner of the tomahawk and making sure your targets are soft wood, and/or wetting them down can help with sticks.
Love it! Very fun and nice. I have long since gave up 3 rotations. One but of a top... switch up your feet and keep the back foot planted. Dig your set up, too. Josh, you are good. Like instinctive slinging you need to train your eye... one way is to tape a note card center of target... later draw a quarter size dot and try and cut it. More than one way to card cut, friend.
Good job I see you clearly worked hard on this. Keep up the great work and posting content because your just great at this. You earned yourself a sub to btw
I blame the airplanes. He was in a grove and then the Cessna hovers in a headwind overhead blaring it's mighty roar across the land. or something like that.
Honestly not sure man. Been ages since I got them. And their not doing too hot. I've broken or chipped a few of the handles and had to replace them. And I broke off one of the corners and had to regrind another one. I'd recommend looking for a mid range one on the larger size, with wood handles that are not fixed, and that can be replaced easily (because you will destroy them) and a nice steep corner for good sticks. Also highly recommend putting together a nice target with multiple aiming points so you don't Robin hood them all the time. Will help keep them fresh a lot longer. Good luck!
@@sharpshooterjd haha "robin hood them". I love that. That's great advice, thanks man! I never even considered the practical side of have replaceable handles, but that's smart thinking. I just love the traditional look with the wood handles but so far every time I've bought a tomahawk I like it too much to throw it! Keep up the good work man, awesome video!
Nice throws, but with zombies... Keep them and swing them. You are better at throwing than myself. I prefer a baseball bat. never need sharpening nor reloading.

Nice throwing brother. There is just something about that solid thump sound when you stick a good one..

Nice! I noticed you almost only missed every third. So there may be more to it... Either the hawks differ, or you grow apprehensive or something,
Nice
