    The title seems a bit silly for the captain obvious information. I do appreciate most your content, this one is just silly.

      They put videos out all day everyday, and most of their market measure studies end up saying the same thing. But it's still good to see and hear regularly. Oftentimes when you screw up, it's because you said "yeh yeh yeh" to the "common sense" things one too many times. 🤷

    Exactly what underlying are they trading the options on ?? I trust it is SPX or is it a compilation of many stocks I didn't see which one they are talking about.

    As always thanks for running the actual probabilities on 0DTE trades. I would be curious for you to compare this with taking profits at 25%, 50% and holding to close. Will that have any relevance? Did the study also cut losers at 25% or was it held to closing.

    What are tranches ?

    • @donkndave7811
      @donkndave7811 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Tranches are groups of positions of a wider group.

      Tranche is French for "slice" as a slice of cake. I think Tom is referring to directional trading with options, where you can't catch the whole move with one position, but have to take several bites out of the move by adding or re-centering.

    Why no stop loss? Well actually with only 10 minute resolution data, you’ll have no clue if your trade stopped out or not with any accuracy. Why would you let a $30 wide spread go ITM?

    • @paulturner956
      @paulturner956 หลายเดือนก่อน

      eaxacly no word on stop losses, we have to figure that into our own risk /reward . I think that data they are working off of is letting them go full loss - its not clear to me, I do not get how selling a vertical; close to the money 30 wide with income of say $6 can make money on such massive loss of $24 if it goes max loss wrong, i mean that means one full loss wipes out 4 winners, but hey , I doubt they can have the data wrong, so if the win rate is 80% then it will work but still, I would stop it out at -$6 not -$24 , Plus if he takes prfit at 25% then the winner is 6/4 = 1.33, so I don't get it at all

    Also, Tasty customer service is the WORST.

    50 trades wow geezers I mean hey its Tom and Tom is Tom, but you gotta think quality has a quantity of its own, however you could say that backwards and be true. I learned to not over trade I was tought that way and to not revenge trade. I was tought to be patient and look for proper set ups as 1 good one is really all you need as you can lay into it, but if im all over the place doing 50 trades, my God I have no idea how I'd not be making giant mistakes, but once again its Tom and Tom has a life time of experience as well as big di.k f..k you money so even if his skill fails him he doesn't care and will live

      Idk how familiar you are with these guys, but they preach making as many trades as possible. According to their studies, the more trades you do, the more stable your p/l will be in the long run. Something like that.
