Do i have a spot the lower deep hole is my favorite on picklers bottom
An old trick here in the UK is to get a dead rabbit, suspend it from a bridge or tree branch overhanging the river, leave it for a few days. The flies should have had time to find it and lay eggs on it producing maggots that will fall into the water. Trout will be holding station a yard or two downstream hoovering them up as they hit the water. Size 12 hook just knicked through the blunt end (being careful not to burst them) two is all you need, and no need to cover the hook. It's a lethal tactic.
Outstanding tips! Thanks
Unless 16 different companies/people touch the food and claim to have added value as a result... VAT can be a tremendous pain!
02:30 you couldn't make a better release...perfect! 😊💪👍
Good video per the norm. I've shied away from those things due to their size. Hard to beat the pinched crawlers and minnows. So just don't carry the maggots. I do occasionally use meal worms which are close in size. Wishing u good luck on Saturday. Hope the weather is good and turnout strong. FYI, I just got back from STN MTN in Wilkes County NC. Cold Afternoon but caught 11. Yes. I've had the knot scenario a couple of times . Hand lined a 3.5 lb Rainbow at Cedar Springs couple of years ago just like that. Highs and lows I guess. Keep up the good work.
Heck yeah man. Thanks for watching
It's funny, I had these maggots in my cart and took them out before placing the order because I was thinking they may be too small. That last one was a crazy fighter! Another great video 😃👍
It was a angry one! Thanks for watching
Hey l just got the red version of this bsit, going to try them tomorrow
Sir I want to say thanks and I appreciate all you do. I know I tell you this all the time sir but i do and i want you to know that and I learn alot from you so thanks and keep it up sir.
Thank you for watching and supporting the channel!
Thanks for another great video and true to live we don't always get them in to the shore.
Not every time. Some days can be better than others!
Another great video sir. I would love to try them little baits bet they be great for the panfish were me and my kids fish at.
Never tried them here in PA , just ordered a jar. Hopefully getting out this week. Tight lines
Man I’ve been watching a lot of your videos lately and it’s really helped me slam some trout here in N.C. really appreciate all the tips and how it’s on some of these baits! Thanks man
Glad to help
COOL!
I've done that with a 50lb grass carp on the other end. Hand lining didnt work. he end up bending the hook straight and coming off. Only time I've ever been glad a fish got away.
Yeah I bet! Would've been a epic fish story though
good video
they have become much better. Regards Carl 🎣🐟
How do you think these will work on a mini-magnet jig head? Or is the circle hook essential to keep trout from swallowing? Thanks!
I went looking for Gulp Alive minnows like Realistic Fishing uses and could only find these maggots. They work really well for panfish too!
Try ruralking.com
FishUSA has everything all the time usually.
Awesome video!!👍
Thanks
I have had wind knots several times when a fish took my bait. Just exasperating!
Gotta love it!
That has happened to me except my drag was too loose and I got a birds nest on hook set!!
Yeap that ones probably the worst
Knots like that can ruin a good opportunity! Thanks for doing a demo with the maggots - I've seen them in the store but haven't been convinced. Your vodeo with the corn is a tough one to beat! Keep up the good videos - and thanks!
Thanks for watching!
Hey I love the videos! Great content! Could you post one about fishing in fast/muddy water? I seem to struggle would love to know your strategy
Definitely can man! I've touched on it here and there but I think a full length video on muddy water is a great idea! Thanks for watching
NRV Outdoors can’t wait for the video! 👌🏻👍🏻
When you get a fish that close to you we call “catch and release.”
💪😎🤙
👍
Love realistic fishing!
Yeah it's awesome
@@NRVOutdoors you’re my next favourite. Even though you fish in pretty predictable places you provide a lot of useful information for a trout fisherman like myself!
I’ve only started fishing in the last year and a half but I’ve caught hundreds of fish partly because of your advice so thanks!
💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
Thanks for watching
@@NRVOutdoors thanks !! For the great content.. learning a lot too
Will this gulp work with salt water fishing, like red fish catfish or croaker?
Not sure I haven't tried it myself but it has potential!
Have you fished Rockcastle creek in Patrick county? I went there last time they stocked and slayed em! I might go tomorrow after School!
It's been a couple years
Go to Kibler Cooper. They stocked it Tuesday. Good for thought. When they stock Kibler they bring around 2400 fish. When they stock Rock Castle in the fall it's around 400 to 500. Learn to fish Kibler and you'll have year round success
Fished Rock Castle many times too, especially Griffith Valley but it's a 1st week stream. After that the majority are gone. Kibler holds them due to size and volume if water
@@bjnelson9490 I did a video at Rockcastle last time they stocked it and wore out the rainbows also lots of native brooks in the gorge.
@@bjnelson9490 I'm going to be at blue springs this Saturday then I'm going the Cedar Springs the next Saturday! I fished Kibler when they stocked in October my favorite fishing up there is from the basketball court to the powerhouse.
Trout love these!
Yeap!
Will these work with a bobber split shot setup?
Yeap
That has happened to my dad and me
Gotta love silly luck
