I totally agree with you as far as this sound and mental vibe is far beyond any other form of a physical and life changing experience. I have been spinning track for 30 years and this is one form that'll exceed its shelf life and will be a favorite to continue to keep trance in your soul for many years, decades to come I use this as a template to show others why trance is like no other music, sound that'll connect your complete body, spirit, soul, the whole human body to every possible cord ever put together there is so much to build together from one track to a complete set. My music is unexplainable with words if you get the chance to taste a little bit of what I work with you to would be speechless. For example look up a few of these top shelf masterpieces. About 9 years ago I was 42, and headed to divorce. I was in a very dark place, and discovered A&B with a few other Trance groups, it was very much therapy for me. I found it hopeful, uplifting, and comforting, almost like the lyrics and music were directed at me. I'm doing amazing now, but A&B still holds a special place in my heart. If they do an Acoustic tour again, I highly suggest seeing it.
I am a 69 year old from the time of the Moody Blues, the Animals and other groups like them. But I love Above and Beyond. I am also much in love with Conjure One and Kataro. It seems I need more depth in my listening experience as I grow older and closer to heaven. 😇

This is not only in trance. It's everywhere. Efforts are more concentrated on quantity than quality and people consumes everything. Netflix is the easiest example: lots of crappy series, everybody watches them all.

That is the greatest explanation I couldn't find words for. It touches you if you understand, and others just hear music. For us who get it, we come back time and time again. I first heard about Above & Beyond/OceanLab on a game called Audiosurf. "On a Good Day" was one of the tracks. Made me come here and it has opened my ears to the world of trance and EDM. Nothing makes me feel the way this music does. It's fun to watch gameplay of Audiosurf with this track....
How is this qualified as "trance"? Some of the tracks don't even have a kick drum or much of any driving percussion, and those that do have none of the characteristics of trance music whether in terms of instrumentation or tempo. "Breaking Ties" for example is mostly acoustic and only 70 beats per minute.
This album holds a special place in my heart. I have explored so many different kinds of music, but I always know I can come back home here when I need to.
I´ve been listening to A&B for 5 years now, but only today I heard this album for the first time. I mean, I heard those three songs from Acoustic, but never dug deeper into history of A&B. What a pleasant surprise this was! Thanks for the upload A&B! :)

More than any other piece of audio or music I've ever listened to, this instantly transports me to a beach of perfect peace and contentment.
I first heard about Above & Beyond/OceanLab on a game called Audiosurf. "On a Good Day" was one of the tracks. Made me come here and it has opened my ears to the world of trance and EDM. Nothing makes me feel the way this music does. It's fun to watch gameplay of Audiosurf with this track....

One of the few high class albums in trance music and not only)
How is this qualified as "trance"? Some of the tracks don't even have a kick drum or much of any driving percussion, and those that do have none of the characteristics of trance music whether in terms of instrumentation or tempo. "Breaking Ties" for example is mostly acoustic and only 70 beats per minute.
I normally listen to Pop Punk and Death Metal, but I also love Above & Beyond! This is a great album.

This album holds a special place in my heart. I have explored so many different kinds of music, but I always know I can come back home here when I need to.

I´ve been listening to A&B for 5 years now, but only today I heard this album for the first time. I mean, I heard those three songs from Acoustic, but never dug deeper into history of A&B. What a pleasant surprise this was! Thanks for the upload A&B! :)
