I am 52 and discovered trance a few months back, never felt more alive in my entire life whilst the rest of my friends are ageing fast physically and mentally, we no longer have much in common, trance is my medicine, especially after discovering A&B, this album is an incredible find and I am glad to find such a good vibe here to share my new passion with ♥️
it's such amazing music. If you haven't already, check out Ferry Tayle and Dan Stone, they are super inspiring and really uplifting.

Just turned 52 myself and trace is my medicine as well. I discovered early 2000s. When I mentioned my age someone people ask for id to believe lol. Some of us humans age well and age before thier time. I just found this track and I comment can relate to yey.

I am a 69 year old from the time of the Moody Blues, the Animals and other groups like them. But I love Above and Beyond. I am also much in love with Conjure One and Kataro. It seems I need more depth in my listening experience as I grow older and closer to heaven. 😇

This is not only in trance. It's everywhere. Efforts are more concentrated on quantity than quality and people consumes everything. Netflix is the easiest example: lots of crappy series, everybody watches them all.
@Eggchin X What's sad is that a lot of classic trance Artists have moved on to make cheesy, more consumer friendly trance. Doesn't have the same depth.. it's sad.

One of the few high class albums in trance music and not only)
How is this qualified as "trance"? Some of the tracks don't even have a kick drum or much of any driving percussion, and those that do have none of the characteristics of trance music whether in terms of instrumentation or tempo. "Breaking Ties" for example is mostly acoustic and only 70 beats per minute.
I got my iPod out from my Uni box yesterday, plugged it in, and the first Album that came on was Sirens of the Sea! Drove on for two hours by the sea listening to Above&Beyond. Timeless Rejuvenating melodies that will inspire us forever in time! Feeling strong!
Today's trance definitely needs a reboot
If trance were rebooted it still wouldn't sound like this album, because this album isn't trance. It's straight up electronica.
@@sorcerykid Genres have changed a lot through the years. What is called trance now can't be compared to what was called trance 20 years ago. It's just the way music evolves.

That is the greatest explanation I couldn't find words for. It touches you if you understand, and others just hear music. For us who get it, we come back time and time again. Happiness, sadness, love, loss, and above all, hope. All the feelings at the same time. Who knows where I'd be if I never found this so long ago.
This is the Album that saved me Years ago 2010-2011ish i lost the one i loved for so many years i guess our flame burned out she fell for someone else, i cried everyday n night for months till i couldn't anymore my heart hurt more than anything in this world. I'm only here because of Above and beyond the words spoken to me were so loud i couldn't ignore. Through the years they have giving me the healing powers to live and persevere, a thunder in my soul and lightening in my veins that electrify's me. Thank you Above and Beyond for saving me from myself. Truly blessed
I have albums that relate to certain loves in my life (when I was younger) and I can't listen to them because of the emotional memories they are tied to. It is good you found something to comfort and soothe you and ease your pain and suffering.
