just had a thought since posting my last message LOL - once your have embroidered your pattern and cut to size, you could then pop it under your sewing machine and run a lovely little decorative boarder around the edge of your embroidered image. Oh the design juices are definitely flowing ha ha. x
Hi Laura - OMG not only am I a quilter, but I make cards and have done for many years. However, I have never thought of making embroidery cards, and I have a lovely super duper Janome embroidery machine. I shall DEFINITELY be giving this a go. Thank you so much for sharing this fantastic idea. I have even just asked my Husband if he would make me a couple of easels ha ha xx
I absolutely love this, Laura!! These will also be great for holiday decorating as they pack up smaller than normal decorations, taking up much less space. I know what family and friends are getting this year. :) Thank you so very much for sharing this!
Great ideas! Word of caution about the embroidery though - not all designs work on paper. Too dense and the paper will be cut to shreds. Lighter, airy patterns are best.
I am excited to try this with my new Bernina 570 embroidery module. However, I am having a difficult time with learning how to download the design from Juju embroidery designs, saving it to my computer, saving it to a USB key, etc. I am still trying to learn my machine. I keep getting road blocks. I have now downloaded the free Artlink program and the Embrilliance program. I see the Free Redwork design that I downloaded, but when I want to save it to my USB key, it says that it is a demo design and can not be saved. Or another message says it not an A or B design. I purchased 10 designs to make cards with and I am stuck. I have been watching many videos. Any ideas on how to trouble shoot this would be wonderful. I bought my stabilizer, water colour paper, designs and I am ready to experiment.

Wish you had spent more time on the embroidery process. Otherwise - great videos.
Don’t you need a design especially digitized for cardstock?
Too bad. I don't have an embroidery machine.
What thread did you use?
