Just what I’ve been waiting for. A concise and precise explanation on using vintage lenses on the D7000. The pace of delivery and the narrative content allowed me to set up my camera and follow the process step by step. I also liked your English accent at one point in the video! Your sample photos were great and indicate the amazing flexibility of the D7000 camera. Sincere thanks for the time and effort you have put into producing the video. A real classic and I’ll make sure to tell my fellow D7000 owners to watch it and experiment. Cheers!

@tonygarrett7214 Wow! Thank you so much for your kind words, encouragement, and the fantastic idea for this video. I'm so happy you enjoyed it. Without you I would have never thought to explore the idea of using vintage film lenses on my camera. It opened up many possibilities to use my D7000 in a different way and helped me learn so much, so I could create this video on manual focus lenses. I am now looking online for other old lenses that I can try to take my photography journey even further, and its all because of your great idea! Thank you so much for your wisdom and for being a great friend! If you have any other ideas for videos that you would like to see, please let me know. Hope you have a great weekend.

I owned a d7000 for a short bit when it launched. Was a solid camera but passed it down to relative, as I already owned too many cameras.

Hi Kris. Thanks for your video. Will you please let me know where you bought the adapter/conversion kit to make the lense fit the AI F Mount. Thanks.

@michalaelton961 Hi! You are very welcome!! So if your lens already is an AI-S Lens you don't need an adapter the lens comes with it built on. It fits the F mount perfectly and will not ruin your camera. If you have an older lens that is a non-Ai lens then you will need an adapter because it is not compatible by itself. Ai, and Ai-S lenses can be used as long as you have an aperture ring indicator on your camera. The Nikon D7000 has one. I hope the helps and thank you for watching for my video. If you have any more questions please let me know. 😊

Hi, I just bought a D7000, and was planning to use manual focus lenses on it, just like you! Thank you for all of the information. I was wondering how sharp is th 35-105mm manual lens is? The pictures you took look great, but I am kind of a pixel peeper. Is it good throughout the zoom range? Thanks

@V8rgr8 That is awesome I am sure you will love your camera just as I love mine. You are very welcome! Sorry this message is a few days late. I have so many to get back to its unreal. Its just me running this channel so it takes a little extra time. As for your question, It's hard to explain so I'll have to make a video about that because I feel that its important. The 35-105 is actually a very sharp lens but I usually use mine on f/7.1-f/11 and get some great results. I also love how the lens itself has a macro range on it as well. Such an underrated lens. Stay tuned for a video. I am not sure when It will be up but it will be my next project. I hope all is well. Thank you for watching!

Live view in a DSLR is actually shooting mirrorless. The mirror is up (disengaged), the metering and focus are done on the sensor directly.. that's how mirrorless works except the technology is more advanced and specialized in "mirrorless" cameras.

@HussainAlkumaish Thank you for pointing that out, I heard that too but wasn't quite sure. Thank you for sharing, your info is valuable. Thank you also for watching my video. I hope all is well.
