Your video of Homer brings back memories. My family camped on Homer Spit when I was a little girl. My father fished for salmon off the slippery clay beach of the bay. Looking at the place now, I wouldn't recognize it at all as there was a small patch of woods at the end, a camping area, and an abandoned fishing boat. This was before the great quake of 1964. I still remember Homer as a magical place filled with birds, fish, fireweed, mountains and sea. We also went fishing on the Anchor River during a salmon run. I can still see the huge red spawning salmon filling up the river with their color and splashes. Thank you to your wonderful little family for sharing these videos. You are all so amazing and talented. And your daughter, Caroline, is delightful.
Your daughter seems to have really opened up and becoming very social. I am a firm believer that travel is the best education. She will never forget this trip. Thanks from Toronto Canada.
This episode is special, showed in your camera and video captures. I can't believe you only have 75K subscriptions, this is far better than any TV show I've ever seen. Like the spirit of Homer, a special place indeed. We live in the land of the (common) loon and their haunting calls, no summer or canoe trip is complete without them. Have nesting bald eagles on the river across from us and get to watch a brood grow up every year, but there's nothing like the eagles of Alaska! So. Many. Eagles. You're a great story tell Kevin, the highlight of an evening is to watch your trip!
We've lived in Homer for 38 years, raised our kids here, and this is where our grandkids are growing up. Well, our son & family live in Anchor Point. Love seeing our town through the eyes of people seeing it for the first time. Your videos are very well done, and thanks for sharing your family.
another great video as always. I want to say thanks for family atmosphere in this channel. With Caroline in the videos my kids watch it a lot more than they do the other overlanding channels and it is simply because they get to see a kid in the action and not only adults. Thanks again.
My daughter is now nine and I do my best to take her on as many adventures that I can....nothing quite like this...yet. But we have a 4R and a Polaris Rzr and try to spend weekends doing something in nature. What you are doing for your daughter is something that all of the schools or advanced education could NEVER do. This is amazing. By the way, my little one was conceived somewhere between Juneau and White Pass Alaska...little over 10 years ago....mine and my wife's only trip to Alaska.
This might be your best video yet. Thank you for all the beautiful camera work and cinematography, it's absolutely epic. Your wife and daughter are stunning, you're a lucky man. May God bless your future travels and keep y'all safe, happy, and together. Thank you again for the amazing escape you provide us by making these videos and letting us capture a glimpse inside the adventurous life of such a beautiful family.
I have such fond memories of Homer and the Homer spit. I was on a summer vacation with my friend Danny Petersen. I lived in Seattle and he lived in Anchorage, and they invited me up for the summer. We traveled from Fairbanks to Kodiak and floated half way down Campbells creek near Anchorage. funny story, but I loved Homer as we stopped for a bit to wait on the ferry to Kodiak. I truly could live right there. Your video brought so many good memories back to me. Like @Canesser said, you are a great story teller. That's one of the main reasons I became a Patreon subscriber to your channel. Best family friendly entertainment anywhere. I was just a teenager when I visited and really didn't appreciate all the beauty at that time. I am hoping to make it back there soon. And will have to visit the bake shop for sure.
You have captured the parts of AK that we miss. We have retired back to our home state, KY. Thank you for the re-visit. We have lived near Kenai, and several other locations in AK, over a period of 30 or so years. Steve
Such a beautiful place to visit. The more your showing those beautiful places the more I am thinking of going early on a road trip to visit those places. Take care and always have a blessed and safe trip....
Beautiful! I was tapping my foot from the very beginning, as the music took me on the journey as I watched. The sounds of the water and the wind as your girls walked on that dock, priceless. I loved every moment.🤗😍
THANK YOU for once again bringing me along on your remarkable journey! It always makes my day to see that you have posted another video documenting the details of your travels.
I noticed the Saga and Summer Bay as well. I was waiting for Kevin and Sarah to load the 4Runner on the Constructor and take off to the “head of the bay” with the Kilchers!
Terrific episode. In addition to the beautiful videography and overall immersive story, I really appreciate the effort you put into providing history and information about the places you visit. This whole series is so thoroughly satisfying to watch.
Awesome traveling video, love it! What an experience for your daughter, she'll never forget these wonderful times spent learning and exploring. Keep up the good work, peace from Cape Town South Africa.
In 2012, I rode my Harley up to Homer Spit from Richmond, VA. At 68 and riding alone, it was a hell of a trip! The scenery was beautiful everywhere in Alaska and Canada. I even got to see a herd of woodland bison near Watson Lake in Canada.
I can't imagine the amount of editing that goes into these videos, they are beautiful as is the back ground music. We stayed at Lands End on the Spit and loved the experience. Thanks!
Love your vids! We did a 5 month trip to Alaska last year with our 5th wheel. We are currently reliving our grand adventure as we watch your episodes. Amazing how many of your shots are places we had been and experienced. We drove every paved hwy and a lot of the unpaved. We loved Tangle Lakes and the Denali hwy and took the Dalton up to the Yukon River, 14,000 mi round trip from Temecula, CA I am sure we passed one another on a road somewhere during last summer and fall. This is a trip anyone can make, it just takes a little effort to let yourselves go and have a bucket list adventure. You have a gift for this. Keep it up!
Love watching your videos. Not only for the great video editing and shots but for the experiences you and your family get to have at all these places. Another place to add on the bucket list.
Discovered your vids a few days ago. Watched them all immediately! Great work. We travel Scandinavia with our 4x4 Camper every year. We thought it was the loveliest place in the world. But your pics of Alaska beat it up!
You made it to Moose Is Loose! Our favorite donut shop. Welcome to my home, the K-Penn, truly Alaska's playground. We are so blessed to call this place home, glad you enjoyed it. Love your channel.
Beautiful as always. After working the Alaskan fishing fleet for a decade, Bald Eagles do not hold the reverence they used to. Watching them scavenge out of the dumpsters and hang out on our boats waiting for a hand out.......Looks like you found where they hide the Hollywood fleet.LOL
Thanks for the memories. I have been to Homer three times and I'm hoping to go again in August. It's one of my favorite places in Alaska. I really enjoy your videos and your daughter is a little cutie!
Your videos are so relaxing, I just watch and everything is right with the world! Caroline is quit the character, when you where at the picnic table, she said, peace out dude and when you had the camera in her face when she was eating, she said, come on dude!
..... wonderful footage! so much so I feel as if I am also on this journey with you all, the food makes my mouth water, but most of all I hunger for more of Alaska! Take care ✌️
Man I think I could listen to the sound of waves crashing on the beach for hours. Perfect choice of music as well. Was that an apple fritter you were enjoying at that bakery? Love your little family and your travels. Thank you for taking us along. Cheers!!!
As usually, excellent job! Really love these videos. My wife used to ask me what is so interesting watching this and after I introduced her to this, she is HOOKED! I had one question, who makes this folding tables you have beside your chairs. I love those and like to have small footprint equipment when we head out exploring. Great video once again!!!
Can’t wait to someday visit Alaska... thanks for all the inspiration! At the 1:38 mark you say that Anchor Point is “the furthest West you can drive in the continental United States”... aren’t Alaska and Hawaii excluded from the continental US as they are not contiguous with the other 48? Is the intent that one can not drive further West in Alaska without taking a boat or plane?
Glad you liked the video! Alaska is still part of the continental US, but not part of the contiguous states. I looked it up before I made the statement lol. It is the farthest you can drive on a legal road in the continental US. Ferries excluded.
Loons are amazing. There are a submarine that can fly. They eat fish as their diet and can swim underwater for hundreds of feet before resurfacing and then swim like a boat. They fly south to where the water isn't frozen as their normal food source in not available when the water is frozen.
Love this i know im late to the party only discovered yall 2 weeks ago and cant put it down in my free time. But i gotta know what that song from yalls entry to homer was that was an awesome song
All the doors lock and we have a unique hitch that would be difficult to attach to a standard vehicle. I will also use locking pins if it's a questionable area. The biggest factor is that our trailer is so noticeable that we doubt anyone would take it without being seen at some point.
love your Alaska videos. was there 2 years ago and the place is so magical, it just gets into your soul. BTW..those were common loons, not Pacific Loons
There is a saying in India.." Which ever corner you go in the world, you would see a proud Malayali!" and Here also I see a Malayli (Albin Kurian) got listed in the sponsors... So cool!

Watching these in 2021 makes me miss life pre Covid-19, shops were doing well, people were happy, life was good.

Really glad you enjoyed it, Carla!
THANK YOU for once again bringing me along on your remarkable journey! It always makes my day to see that you have posted another video documenting the details of your travels.
Thank you for riding along!
Great video....wonder if anyone else noticed at 8:38 F/V Saga from Deadliest Catch was tied up in the harbor.
Yep! That's it! Big Deadliest Catch fan 😁
I was looking at it, even stoped the video. :-)
Summer Bay was tied next to it
I noticed the Saga and Summer Bay as well. I was waiting for Kevin and Sarah to load the 4Runner on the Constructor and take off to the “head of the bay” with the Kilchers!
3rd boat in is the Southern WInd, new boat on the show this year.
Anchor Point was one of my favorite stops....of our 2016 trip...and meeting Otto Kilcher...
Kevin, your videos just keep getting better. The shots are absolutely amazing!! Thank you for sharing your adventures!!
Really appreciate the feedback!
Beautiful scenery. Can't wait to be there next year. Thanks
Terrific episode. In addition to the beautiful videography and overall immersive story, I really appreciate the effort you put into providing history and information about the places you visit. This whole series is so thoroughly satisfying to watch.

Man I think I could listen to the sound of waves crashing on the beach for hours. Perfect choice of music as well. Was that an apple fritter you were enjoying at that bakery? Love your little family and your travels. Thank you for taking us along. Cheers!!!
That apple fritter was AMAZING! So hungry now...
ok, music at 4 and half minutes was fun! diggin' it!
I work from home and watch your adventures on one screen, work on the other screen... and wonder what y'all up to today :-)

Awesome content! Looks like your rig shows longevity with how far you guys travel. Did you regear with the larger tire set up?
Keep sticking with it, you guys are gonna be huge :)
Very Nice... Beautiful family!
Thanks, Willy!
Love this i know im late to the party only discovered yall 2 weeks ago and cant put it down in my free time. But i gotta know what that song from yalls entry to homer was that was an awesome song
What do you use to secure trailer when you leave it behind
All the doors lock and we have a unique hitch that would be difficult to attach to a standard vehicle. I will also use locking pins if it's a questionable area. The biggest factor is that our trailer is so noticeable that we doubt anyone would take it without being seen at some point.
Love the wilderness
Great shot of the loons.
Awesome video thank you

very nice fc from thailand.

Birch syrup is AMAZING!!!! Just dont use alot as it has a very strong flavour.
It was REALLY good! It's actually a really good meat marinade too!
Which one do you prefer to choose between automatic and manual transmission for the long trip?
Fantastic, absolutely 👍
Nice job catching the loon calls.
