Man this brings me back to 08 09 when I first got my gamecube and this was my first nba 2k game passed down from my older brother. Wish 2k would go back to intros like this Memories😭😭😭
Always nice to see AI, J-Rich, Vince Carter, T-Mac, KG hell even Ben Wallace doing their thing back then. Ahh the NBA in the early part of this decade.
One of the best NBA 2K's ever!!!! I'm not a Mavs fan (Charlotte Hornets fan, BTW), but I LOVED using them in this game with Dirk, Nash, Finley, Van Exel and LaFrentz.
these were the days in the nba all the player were good. Steve Francis Ai KG jrich tmac vince carter jkidd shaq kobe i can go on daaaammm i miss those days watching basketball
This was my shit, it was the 1st NBA game to intergrate ESPN in it. It was so underated tho, it was 100 times better than NBA Live 2003. Can't nobody stand a chance vs. me in this game if I pick Lakers, Sixers, Kings or Suns. The thing bout this 2K is that I can play with every team effectively. I spent at least 30,000 hours on it (also had Live 2003 but only played ppl for money on it)
haha i remember watching when AI was dancin around like that, i would picture myself doing that during my middle school games after a buzzer beater... i was so gay back then!
Best 2k intro hands down.
I like the 2k2 one better one the 2k3 one is not that bad
2k4 the goat of intros
2k12
Nah 2k2
Wow. These are some of the most amazing highlights i have ever seen from the NBA.
Back when the NBA had a superstar on every team
antman NOT THe NUGGETS
Now they got 2
@@techbudz they got melo
@@techbudz man the nuggets was trash lol, they best player was James Posey and he wasn't that good at the time.
Not the Cavs. This is pre-LeBron Cavs. Their best player is Ricky Davis.
first time Ive seen this in years. I still love that Desmond Mason dunk. It gets me everytime
Man this brings me back to 08 09 when I first got my gamecube and this was my first nba 2k game passed down from my older brother.
Wish 2k would go back to intros like this
Memories😭😭😭
nba street vol. 2, nba 2k3 with the "answer" allen iverson cover, street hoops...damn man so great memories
Still so good! 20yrs later
Man thise were the days nba on nbc was all about presentation and excitement imo this is the best 2k intro that theme is iconic
Always nice to see AI, J-Rich, Vince Carter, T-Mac, KG hell even Ben Wallace doing their thing back then. Ahh the NBA in the early part of this decade.
90’s 2000’s my opinion best nba years
Paul Pierce on the break. I remember watching that game live :/ Miss you son
That Jason Richardson dunk was so fucking nasty.... straight up filthy
I got serious chills just then.
Iverson was the man back then!
My favorite intro of any 2K game
This makes me sad seeing all these players that were once in there prime.
best 2k game series.
I miss this era!!!
Nba was real back then less rules nd less flopping
The golden years of Nets basketball are shown in this intro. I miss the, Kidd led, New Jersey Nets.. (Sigh)
Kenyon Martin just EATING that layup, pinning it against the board with both hands like a savage!
0:34 MICHAEL FINLEY.......all you can say is DAMN
Best Era!
Best intro EVA!!! This brings back so many memories of when I was 21 playing for hrs against my 13yr Lil Brother my😭
One of the best NBA 2K's ever!!!! I'm not a Mavs fan (Charlotte Hornets fan, BTW), but I LOVED using them in this game with Dirk, Nash, Finley, Van Exel and LaFrentz.

Tracy McGrady = the best player of the early 2000s
Out of all of these NBA superstars in this intro, I’d go for Allen Iverson because the Sixers are my favorite team in all of basketball.
i still play this game
10 years ago i was crapping my pants about how good this game was, 2k13 came out and im crapping my pants about how bad the game is.
😂😂😂
You’d hate the games their putting out now for sure then
This was the best intro 2K had until 2K11
Nah this one is still the best!
this intro is the best one ever. It has the right music alot of action and it gets you pumped for some 2k basketball.
They don’t make ‘em like these anymore

Still the best intro of any game. Nowadays, it's just virtual gameplay in the intros... how pathetic. This era and intro was the best.
0:46 Garnett takes a nice walk down broadway
Best intro.
I was a kid when i saw the intro and like who the heck is number 3 for the Pistons! that block was monster
Memories
man they need to bring back these intros :(
Great dunk by KG.
Wish 2k and ESPN wouldnt have parted. The ESPN presentation would top of the perfectness of 2k12
Original XBOX!! Too fucking classic
Kenyon Martin was a better Blake Griffin before the knee injuries
@Julian2415 Yea yea, if you listen very closely, you could hear the whistle getting him the call on traveling.
Vlade Divac & Chris Webber!
Very nice intro. I have the GameCube version. It's the best basketball game for that system, period.
like sports center theme.
this music was in espn nfl 2k5
8 Years ago i thought NBA players can take a 5 step approach.... thanks to Kevin Garnett in this intro
datsright246 The refs did call on a travel tho you can hear the whistle in the background of the music
they make vince seem like he likes going under players and hitting that back board the way they put it on here and on 2k2
no matter how many times i played i never skipped the intro
this was my first ps2 game
wow look how young nd in their prime everybody was ;)
this song is from nfl 2k5 main menu
Give KG a passport for that travel
