    ITEAD had a similar product on their site. 4 channel but with normall open and normall closed contacts for output. It also had a momentary on/off feature. I am thinking about building a remote garage door opener for those times I should forget to close the garge door. I found the one I described on a site in China and waiting for it to come in. If this had the momentary feature I would try hacking it by removing 120 volts A/C going to each relay and make the relays just for contact purposes.

    • @n1kkri
      @n1kkri 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have the earlier version of this on order and it should be in next week. It has 4 relays and a built in
      momentary feature that is selectable. That should do what I need perfectly without programming.
      I have never did any programming but I think I need to learn how to. I am good with electronics hardware just never got into software programming.

    Hi, data for timer are saved in Sonoff or in mobile phone? I mean do the phone has to be turn on and in an area with signal in order for the channels to on-off in time or you program and forget the controller.
    Another question is the communication both ways, I mean the indication, in the mobile, that one channel is on or off is because it was asked to do so or as a feedback from Sonoff. Thanks in advance and for this very helpful review.

    • @MadeEasyChannel
      @MadeEasyChannel  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      it logs it in Sonoff servers, if your phone is off the sonoff will still work as long as it is connected to the internet via wifi

    • @MadeEasyChannel
      @MadeEasyChannel  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      it does not notify you when a channel is turned on or off, it just does it

    good evening,
    because the 4 channel sonoff does not work more than one channel connected at the same time?
    The problem is the appliance?

    • @MadeEasyChannel

      no the appliance should be fine. Disconnect all appliances and see if you can get it to turn on multiple channels

    Please help this was just demo but when you install it on wall, then how will u do connections becaz there is no seperate live wire for wall switches, there is one live wire which they put all together in all switches, will out wire on sonoff will go thru wall switches to controll wirelessely...plz help

    • @93sharjeel

      Sameer Athaley you can connect that one live wire to "In" pin then you can take 4 output live wires and connect them to different things you want to control.

    There are two versions of the 4 Channel Din Rail Mounting WiFi Switch. The Sonoff 4 Channel and the Sonoff 4 Channel R2. The Sonoff 4 Channel has a maximum total current of 10 amps, while the R2 version offers 10 amps per channel. The eBay link you provide in your show notes doesn't indicate whether this is the original or the R2 version. However, the eBay add does say that it has a 10 amp maximum current. No mention of a per channel maximum current.

    • @gemzentaurus5537
      @gemzentaurus5537 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Your information is inaccurate. The R2 has the exact electrical specs as the 4CH. A total Wattage/AMP of 2200W/10A. The R2 will fail if overloaded with 10A per channel simultaneously. However, the R2 can handle 10A per channel through its switching functionality, but only when drawing 10A one channel at a time.

    Hello
    I have a question please help.
    I have connected each channel from the sonoff wifi switch 4CH to a contactor to avoid loading the switch since I have connected 2 air conditions and 2 hot water resistance.
    Since the contactor has a bobbin inside it i am facing a problem of electricity going backwords to the switch which is affecting the switch and is sometimes restarting. Someone told me that i need to install DIODES between the switch and the contactor on each channel to resolve this issue.
    Is this the correct resolution? if yes which type and size and characteristics of DIODES should i buy?
    Thank you.

    • @gemzentaurus5537

      The Sonoff is not designed to take the load of an A/C or Heating elements. Here are the technical specs for the Sonoff:
      Specification for Sonoff Basic and Sonoff 4CH
      Voltage range: 90-250v AC(50/60Hz)
      Max current: 10A.
      Max Wattage: 2200W.
      Enclosure Material: Fire-retardant ABS V0.
      Humidity: 5%-90%RH, Non-condensing.
      If your A/C, Heater, or the combination of both draws more that 10Amps/2200W, I highly not recommend connecting any of those appliances to the Sonoff. It's a disaster about to happen.

    • @ANONIM7021
      @ANONIM7021 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      its old but may help somebody
      this is usual problem when contactors are too close to electronic control. try move them away or move controller from interference. switching power to coils and arcing contacts generate electromagnetic interference which cause this problems

    • @agoahsan
      @agoahsan 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Please read again he is using a contactor to operate AC, Heaters. Only a minor load of contactor coil will be on sonoff internal relays, a few mA may be

    • @agoahsan
      @agoahsan 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      for an AC coil contactor you cannot use a diode, move the contactors away from the sonoff or try adding a small capacitor in parallel to the coil of contactor, a small capcitor 0.5uf should go

    • @agoahsan
      @agoahsan 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      As such it is not possible as one side of each relay has been made common, now you have 2 solutions
      1. either cut the prints on PCB to make separate 2 relays, which may be difficult if you are a biginnear
      2. or use 2 switches to turn on two relays which can then be used independently
