The late Richard Mullen engineered both Stevie Ray Vaughan and Eric Johnson. I wasn't able to find (literally) any TH-cam videos on or about him from any other small, large, or in-between channels, so I made this video.

Excellent info that, frankly, most guitarists don't really think about too often. Many guitarists I know are of the "set it and forget it" mindset. They rely on whomever is running sound in the venue to dial in the tones and/or use the same mic placement no matter the situation. Recording is certainly another subject. It's always best to know the quirks of whatever equipment you're using no matter the cost or quality.
