This is fantastic, and chilling, and emotional, and !!!! The way Odysseus reflexively reached out for Penelope when she appeared on the first line of the chorus... he loves her so much T.T
OBJECTIVELY MY FAVOURITE VERSION OF THIS SONG TO DATE. the details! the symbolism! the panning and angles! the expressions in these are some of your best work!!
I love how frightened Odysseus seemed of this other self that was unbeknownst to him his future, and the visuals of the cyclops and Poseidon, as well as the bodies and trails of blood shown to lie behind him - but also Eurylochus' haircut shining through at the brother's final strand, as well as a vague form of Scylla falling into those sacrificed men, and just!! Argh!! It's so good!!
Holy shit - oh my god- the AMAZING expressiveness on Odysseus' face when he screams "WHO!" just drives me INSANE!!! It's perfect. It's desperate, angry, jealous, afraid - and so, so, so much more. I absolutely love how you illustrated ALL OF THIS animatic - it's literally the coolest thing ever. My new favorite animatic for The Epic.
Obsessed with how you capture strong facial expressions during scenes of intense emotion. The visions rotating around Odysseus were an incredible feat to pull off animation wise with that much going on at once! The flashes of the Cyclops and Poseidon were incredibly well delivered. I think this is the best “No Longer You” animatic I have seen.
10/10, love the vision of scylla's future appearance and how you use a blindfold both to mark tiresias's blind prophet status and to give that awesome shot of his glowing white eye there at the end.
My absolute favorite of the underworld saga. Choosing the organ for Tiresias is absolute gold imo. It has the fullness of sound and the eeriness of the echos that just make the Prophet seem so haunting. Paired with 'Monster', this saga just keeps getting better and better.
Guys listen to the last chrous!!!! The voices in the background match with what the prophet is saying I see a song of past romance - siren song I see the sacrifice of men - Scylla throat (im not sure if thats what they say but they do say Scylla) I see portrayals of betrayal and a brother's final stand - mutiny I see you on the brink of death, i see you draw your final breath - lighting bolt I see a man who gets to make it home alive - fight Poseidon (not sure either but thats what i hear) But its no longer you - kill all the suitors for love (also not confirmed)
I cannot even begin to describe just how much I love this!! From the facial expressions to the blood trail to the hands that grab Odysseus, its just all so amazing! Seriously you are so talented!
WHAT I FUCKING LOVE THIS, i swear this is my fav animatic of this song, its absolutely amazing how you portrayed everything and the tension points you made through the video, is just so *chef kiss*
Uhh, this is so good! I love that your animatic made it really clear that Tiresias has all the power here and does not even engage with Odysseus, while Odysseus is asking and raging without getting the response he wants. You showed that really well by making Tiresias barely move but Odysseus being all over the place and still ending up falling from the cliff. Tiresias just pointing at him and Odysseus falling was built up so well and an amazing ending, love it!
I love how after re-listening to Epic, I finally realised that in this song, Tiresias references future songs. "Song of past romance" - Refers to Odysseus's desire to return home to Penelope, and make more memories, and make up for the love left in the past he was unable to give for the past 10-12 years. "Sacrifice of Man" - referencing the sacrifice of 6 men within the lair of Scylla, as that was what was required to satiate it, and allow escape without losing more. It references Polites in this Animatic, which, to some, may be a sacrifice, but Scylla is more sensible for this. "Portrayals of Betrayal" - Referencing right after the lair of Scylla, when Eurylochus riles a mutiny against Odysseus, caused by the deaths of the six men in the lair of scylla, as Odysseus purposefully sacrificed them. "And a brother's final stand" - Unclear which it exactly references, but I interpret it as right before Eurylochus is killed by Zeus, the final stand being him and his men trying to kill Odysseus for choosing them to die over himself, or even rather Eurylochus trying to survive for moments before dying to Zeus. These are all I noticed, feel free to add more! :^
The way Odysseus sees himself as this other man was brilliant, i loved the "Who" moment and Odysseus face, how you made everything red at the end is a cool detail and the end in general is amazing, such a good animatic
The way i dropped everything to instantly watch this video when i saw it this morning is no joke. I love the way you draw n the way you visualize whats going on in the songs even tho theres no pervious visuals to go off of is.. there are no words. maybe amaztastic? I cant wait to see what you do next! keep up the amazing work! 🌟
Thus far, this animatic has the best Setting and Vision of the song and its happenings. Every time he drops to the final chorus I just feel tingling running down my spine, it's brilliantly displayed
This is my favorite animatic of this song by far!! Absoltely love how you changed the animations for the different things Tiresias sees (e.g. "song of past romance" in the first verse is him and Penelope, but in the second it's the sirens that try to seduce Odyseuss AND the "sacrifice of man" first is Polites, second it's the men sacrificed to Scylla). The only video I've seen so far that does this, it makes it more detailed in the story telling. Amazing!!!!
I like to imagine that the first time he sings the main verse, hes talking about all the things that Odysseus and the crew have already been through before coming to the underworld and then the second time, he's singing about the future events that have yet to happen. But they're the same because the past is repeating itself (Romance= Calypso, Sacrifice= when the rest of the crew dies, Betrayal=the mutiny, Brother= when Eurylocus stands against him the final time, etc.) I can't wait to see how this ends👀👀
This might be the best animatic for this song. Really nailed the imaging for each vision the prophet had, and then the fall was pretty poetic to portray the fortunes, his morals, and everything.
I cannot express how much I ADORE this animatic but may the Gods strike me down if I don’t try! The little line that spreads along the cliff when talking about the past and future The images of the past and future surrounding Odysseus one by one in the first chorus and then more aggressively in the second The hands of (assumedly the soldiers) grabbing at him The flashes of Polyphemus and Poseidon The trail of blood and bodies behind Odysseus that he doesn’t see The hands (once again, assumedly from the soldiers) dragging him down and off the cliff and into the ‘ocean’ where a majority of his men died The fact that the water? is red at first making it look like Odysseus is drowning in blood Hell, the colours throughout the entire animatic are astounding! The blues, reds, and the translucent glow of the ghosts, especially Tiresias is just chefs kiss 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
you definitely have the coolest visuals to coincide with the music on this one. very impressive work i love your style thank you so much for sharing your blessings and vision with the world
This is literally one of my favorite songs from Epic because of how it's sung and the way you brought the characters to life in this animatic makes it all the better.
Omg that change in the second verse where Tiresias is refering to Scylla and Mutiny aaaaaaa the first verse's betrayal was the open of the bag of wind then the second verse's is the golden cows!!! I love how you separate the two verses!!!!

@@MegaBeast6854OHHH you might be right about that actually. Since Ody fights Charybdis right before Posiden
I know this is old but it's most likely "Fight Poseidon"
OOHH! So cool of you to catch that! It really brings it back to a circle after hearing the whole epic saga!
I love, love, LOVE the detail of Tiresias's blindfold slipping a bit to reveal him staring right into Odysseus's soul-
I like that he said "I don't want any part of what bs you're about to do" but also unintentional sets him on that path.
I love how at 1:40 Tiresias looks at ody with a "wait is that you" face after seeing the vision
Odysseus' tired eyes bro they've gotta be my favorite detail. All the suffering and sh he's been though and this isnt even all of it yet. Also I cant not mention how 1:08 all the way to 1:44 hits different. The flashes of the cyclops and Poseidon- The way you can see Odysseus' anger surrounded by the suitors in his palace- the literal blood trail and bodies leading up to Odysseus' feet behind him- the feral ass "WHO!?" Dude its all so clean. Awesome job!!
"I see your wife with a man who is haunting...
A man with a trail of bodies..."
*angry owl noises*
The man is truly Athena's prodigy @@dragonfire2246
1:06 I love the flashes of cyclops and poseidon! It looks really cool, good job on those arts even if they are for "just" a frame
I WAS WAITING FOR THIS ‼️
1:43 THE FRICKING "WHO?!" BRO, I'M DIYING IT'S SO COOL
RIGHT??? Odysseus getting EXTRA murderous then-
YAAASSS AND THE ANIMATION IS SO GOOD 🗣️🗣️🗣️
FR! Had him looking like the Duolingo owl when he finds out you didn't do your Spanish lesson
LMAO I DIDN'T TOUGH IT LIKE THAT
WHOT
I love the idea that Tireseais is completely spelling out what’s going on and that Odysseus is having trouble understanding; and finally Tireseais gets tired of him and sends him away
(Whoah!- mom I’m famous!)
"you're stupid, bye." -Tiresias, probably.
I mean, that's at least the second Time a heros ask about someone who is themself to him (the first one was Oedipe)
Bro the colors and contrasts and little flashes of the monsters in the beginning are so COOL
oof the last 'no longer you' CHILLS. STUNNIN
I love how you used the staff and the lighting is amazing! I don't know why, but Odysseus hanging off the cliff reminded me of the lion king.
long live the king, odysseus haha
😂
Amazing, stellar, true to the story. He casts Odysseus off a cliff, and he wakes up on shore, not knowing what's true or false. Gods I need to reread The Odyssey again...
Psychic twink tells guy he’s gonna kill people
10/10 love it 💖💖💖
PSYCHIC TWINK 😂😂😂😂
Your not wrong... My twink radar just went high when I saw him.
😂😂
Psychic Twink is wild my friend 😂😂😂
This is just the best comment
AHHH THIS LOOKS SO GOODDD I love the colors and the trail of blood behind Odysseus meaning Tiresias is talking about him, but the feral "WHO" takes the cake for me
I could have said 1 word
IT'S A MASTERPIECE
2:46 Oh he's soggy
Nah, when I started cackling at this 😂😂
Soggy Ody 😢
Even if someone is scared and soggy, I want to hug him
Soggy boi
Oh my goodness I love the lines trickling down to show the past and future Tierisias sees! Also Ithaca behind Odysseus during the "help you get home" line is so good!
HIS HAUNTED LOOK WHEN HE SEES PENELOPE?!?!!? He looks so haunted at what he sees and the expression is so raw and vulnerable.
OUGHH AND THE DISGUISED VERSION OF HIMSELF FOR "I see a man who gets to make it home alive"?! And the zoom in on Odysseus face!!
Also my GOD the snippets of past battles when Odysseus is describing all they're been though?! That's so good!
Just, the visions turning red and HOLY SHIT THE BODIES BEHIND ODYSSUES FOR THAT?! That it so creepy and haunting and I LOVE it!!
Also my god Tierisius being scared of Odysseus when he yells?! Ough.
And the next repeated lines being future events like Scylla? That's so cool.
ALSO MY GOD THE GHOSTS DRAGGING HIM OFF THE CLIFF AND THE EYE BEING SHOWN?!?!
This entire animatic and the expressions and poses are gorgeous! It's so haunting and pretty!!!
HOLY SHIT THIS IS CINEMA
THE EXPRESSIONS THE POSES EVERYTHING IS PERFECT
I love the moment where he says "We've suffered and sailed through the toughest of hells" and it actually shows some of the toughest moments in their journey like the Cyclops and Poseidon
0:50 OK HOW DID YOU PREDICT THE ANIMATIC FOR THE EMDING OG GET IN THE WATER??????
I was just about to comment this!!!
The actual story
2:18 - Painfully awesome.
Now understanding what the background choir sings in the second chorus makes things so much clearer and I cant unhear it anymore
I just realized that when Tiresias says it's no longer you, he means the unchanged man he sees in front of him instead of the "monster" Odysseus becomes later.
NAHH out of all the animatics i've seen, this has GOT to be my FAVORITEEEE
The appearance of polyphemus and poseidon was soooo cool and the anger in odysseus' face is just incredibleeee
I can't wait to see your take on the other songs!!!!
0:09 help he looks so silly😭
HELP HE DOES
It refers to an ancient definition of ptsd. Even when he returns to his wife, hes not the same man he was before. Twisted by death and killing, be becomes a man of murder and cruelty.
THE STAFF IS SO GOOD HELLO? THE LITTLE ORB EMITTING THE POWER IS SO GOOD
YOU ATE WITH THIS! odysseus facial expressions and reactions. The “no longer you” Odysseus eyes were so dark and lacked remorse and guilt! THE WAY HE GRABBED HIM AND YELLED WHO! HIM SNAPPING! it’s sooo good! beautiful job
My god, listening to this song after ithaca saga came out is surreal. Everything makes sense now
The fact that this is the last time Odysseus thinks of his men instead of himself really gets me
That small clip with your Poseidon design 1:11 makes me wish I could see your rendition of Ruthlessness
I want it as well!
I love the prophets design and his staff! This is incredible, and one of my fav songs from this saga!
THE TONE OF THAT “WHO?!!” PAIRED WITH THE ART WAS SO POWERFUL! I felt SHIVERS run down my spine! This has got to be my favorite animatic of the Epic songs yet!
I’m blown away. All your Epic animatics are great, and this one didn’t disappoint.
The fact the Prophet got scared when he yelled "WHO?!" has me so sad now!!!
I think this is my favorite animatic related to Epic so far
Like i felt somethjng in my GUT while watching this
Same
Holy crap this so freaking good, the visuals and imagery and everything are so stunning and effective I'm in awe
The voices in the background match with what the prophet is saying
I see a song of past romance - siren song
I see the sacrifice of men - Scylla throat (im not sure if thats what they say but they do say Scylla)
I see portrayals of betrayal and a brother's final stand - mutiny
I see you on the brink of death, i see you draw your final breath - lighting bolt
I see a man who gets to make it home alive - fight Poseidon (not sure either but thats what i hear)
But its no longer you - kill all the suitors for love (also not confirmed)
I cannot even begin to describe just how much I love this!! From the facial expressions to the blood trail to the hands that grab Odysseus, its just all so amazing! Seriously you are so talented!
This is my favorite animatic of this
WHAT I FUCKING LOVE THIS, i swear this is my fav animatic of this song, its absolutely amazing how you portrayed everything and the tension points you made through the video, is just so *chef kiss*
Your style and everything gave me chills! Every scene made my skin crawl like I was about to be stabbed. Love your style hope to see more!
The Ghosts chanting "Ooooody~Seeeeeeee~Uuuuusss" hits different right about now..
BRO THIS IS ALMOST EXACTLY HOW I IMAGINE THIS SONG
THIS IS SO BEUTIFUL ESPECIALLY HIM OPENING HIS EYES AT THE END TO SHOW DEPTH RJFBSKDBBFOSBF
0:50 Hey you'll never guess what happened in get in the water
2:18 that frame is simply marvelous
1:47 is GORGEOUS
THIS IS SO GOOD. THE COLORS, THE PROPHET'S BANDAGES/WRAPS COMING OFF AT THE END. ODYSSEUS'S EXPRESSIONS. GUHH. CHILLS.
I could have said 1 word
IT'S A MASTERPIECE
2:02 i just realized the second voices were foreshadowing the future songs/events
I am... Words do not describe the emotions I'm currently feeling. This is beautiful.
True, though I thought the Romance was the siren
I have to say this is my favorite No Longer You animatic!! I dived through the many that are out there and this one is just too good in so many ways.
Why am I theorizing that when Tiresias said. ‘A man with a trail of bodies’ was Odysseus because he SLAUGHTERED THE SUITORS!!!
Because Ody is exactly who he means? I thought that was obvious
in absolute disbelief at how fast this was done and also how well portrayed this was
THIS IS SO GOOD OKFISJD THE DETAILS!!! THE COLORS!!! I HAVE REWATCHED THIS SO MANY TIMES ALREADY!! YOU DID A PHENOMENAL JOB!!!
This might be the best animatic for this song. Really nailed the imaging for each vision the prophet had, and then the fall was pretty poetic to portray the fortunes, his morals, and everything.
I cannot express how much I ADORE this animatic but may the Gods strike me down if I don’t try!
The little line that spreads along the cliff when talking about the past and future
The images of the past and future surrounding Odysseus one by one in the first chorus and then more aggressively in the second
The hands of (assumedly the soldiers) grabbing at him
The flashes of Polyphemus and Poseidon
The trail of blood and bodies behind Odysseus that he doesn’t see
The hands (once again, assumedly from the soldiers) dragging him down and off the cliff and into the ‘ocean’ where a majority of his men died
The fact that the water? is red at first making it look like Odysseus is drowning in blood
Hell, the colours throughout the entire animatic are astounding! The blues, reds, and the translucent glow of the ghosts, especially Tiresias is just chefs kiss
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I love the small details you added! This may be one of my favorite animatics of this song!
2:44 Eurylochus
Eurylochus
I love that after ody asks “who” the repeating of the prophecy makes him step back in horror realizing what
He would become
I still cannot get enough of your art, good thing it is publically available!!!!
AAHHHH THIS WAS LITERALLY SO AMAZING!!!! My jaw DROPPED to the floor, you are so talented, thank you for blessing my eyes with this holy water
you definitely have the coolest visuals to coincide with the music on this one. very impressive work i love your style thank you so much for sharing your blessings and vision with the world
This is literally one of my favorite songs from Epic because of how it's sung and the way you brought the characters to life in this animatic makes it all the better.
Oh my GOD the absolute CHOKEHOLD this has on me I’m obsessed with your cinematography the footsteps?!?! Amazing!
Omg that change in the second verse where Tiresias is refering to Scylla and Mutiny aaaaaaa the first verse's betrayal was the open of the bag of wind then the second verse's is the golden cows!!! I love how you separate the two verses!!!!
The animators really showed off in this episode and i love it so much AAAAHHHH
