I love this toy and like you I'm so happy to finally complete the set. But, this is the first time I do have 5 Dinobots, I never had a complete team before. They did a really great job, barely any hollowness, great colors. I do have the same issue with the chest, not tabbing easily. Can't wait for the Toyhax decals. To answer your question, I prefer the Dino mode for display. Great review!
A phenomenal figure, robot mode is fantastic and the dino mode looks amazing and has an impressive wing span. Those wings have so much awesome detail too!
Hey! It wasn't a prank this time! I am so happy to finally have the last dinobot! I keep mine in robot mode on shelf because I don't have enough space for dino mode. But you really can't go wrong either way with these guys!
The other sword is for Grimlock. Getting the chest tabbed together in bird mode is difficult. I had to bend the parts "backwards" (where the wings attach) and then flex them back forward. Those joints do kinda "butterfly" though so it is do-able. Just pushing the two sides of the chest together isn't enough.
I know he's supposed to be a Pterodactyl... but the fact that he spits fire, I'm tempted to say that he's part wyvern (a dragon). Btw, I like the eggo joke. It makes perfect sense for all the waffling.
The other sword is for Grimlock. hasbro released a cel-shaded Grimlock figure inspired by the G1 comics which comes with the swords for the other Dinobots.
I dont have shelving at the moment (its a long story, GRRRRR!). But Robot for My Dinobots while displayed. As for now, Grimlock and Sludge are in Beast mode in a box, Slug is on a table in Robot mode and Snarl is next to my laptop where I can transform him to or from whatever mode I'm feeling like. Swoop will look great next to his teammates! Great review!

As many others have pointed out, that extra sword is Grimlock's. And the Marvel Comics color Grimmy is gonna have the swords for Slag and Sludge. Well...as usual, it seems that Target *REFUSES* to carry the SS86 Dinobots...for the most part. Check it: • SS86-6 Grimlock: Never saw him in stores at all. Not Target, not Walmart (most Ballsmart locations around me didn't even get in on SS86 until later), NOWHERE. • SS86-7 Slag/Slug (he's SLAG, dammit!!): Nope. They ain't even bother gettin' this wave. Never saw Slag at all, only saw Gnaw once, only saw Wreck-Gar & Sweep once each much later on. • SS86-15 Sludge: I actually saw him a couple times, but never had the funds to get him. I think that this was in a wave with SS86-12 Coronation Starscream, cuz when I saw one, the other was usually there as well. • SS86-19 Snarl: Only saw him ONCE. And he was already gone when I had the funds for him. (Technically, I had the funds for a Leader class...I just didn't get Snarl.) What mode? Doesn't matter, I like to enjoy my figures!! 😂😂🤣🤣 That being said, I guess I'm stuck with the old Power of the Primes Dinobots from way back in 2018. Could've been worse, could've been stuck with them Legacy Core class Dinobots. Anywho, I guess my only other option is to keep tryin' to hunt down that Black Mamba/Aoyi Mech OSKO set of the PotP Dinobots (I really only want the Grimlock of the OSKO peeps, but it dawned on me that I would need all five since they're all supposed to be taller in robot mode than most Autobots...

I buy two sets of every bot, so I can display in both bot and alt mode! I'm using a Figma stand to support Swoop in pterodactyl mode. It barely works, though, because this figure is heavy!

I hope to spot at tetail vause majority online spots are sold out. Have to complete the Dinobots. I expect some chrome in a. Toyhax set. On display. These guys id change up depending on mood.
Got mine last week and I love it! Also, Nonnef confirmed that they will be doing a Swoop set. I have all their orange energy swords, so I'm happy that all my SS86 will have matching swords with the orange energy blades. And yup, I display mine in botmode.

Nice review! I ordered two of these, one for each mode. They did SS 86 Grimlock dirty with forearm gaps too. That’s why I didn’t get him. I display the rest of my pairs of SS 86 Dinobots alongside MP Grimlocks. I ordered gap-filling kits that take care of Swoop’s forearm gaps with hinged parts that do not with transformation for both of my Swoops. Since I have two MP Grimlocks and two of each of the other SS 86 Dinobots, I don’t have to choose between bot or dino mode!
Well for me I only have Slag Sludge and Snarl and I have them all in Dino mode. If I got or get Swoop I would have him in robot mode as for Grimlock if I got him he also would be in Dino mode

I know a few people have mentioned that the extra sword is Grimlock’s. Slag and Sludge’s swords are coming with the Marvel Comics deco Grimlock.
As you saw my Grimlock has a sword, so I gave it to poor sword swordless Sludge.
