In this video I show step-by-step how to knit a pair of fingerless mittens. This is a great tutorial for beginner knitters because these fingerless mittens are knit flat! You do not need to know how to knit in the round or use double pointed needles! I take you though each of the steps, from the cast on, to the cast off. Enjoy!

👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻 I am a beginner. I first learnt only knit stitch and made a cowl scarf for my daughter. Then I wanted to make gloves for myself and it turned out so beautiful. I have learnt so many techniques in this video. It is such an awesome pattern and helpful tutorial. Thank you for helping me knit.
The only part I found it to be too difficult is seaming.. Initially was tough but then got the hang of it. It would have been nice if the tutorial taught how to weave the tails.
Overall so grateful for this video 🙏🙏🙏

WOW first I want to thank you for the tutorial video…..oh my gosh this was perfectly explained and very easy to follow. I had struggled so much trying to do mittens in the round and I didn’t think that this could be done knitting flat, I finished the 1st one in 2 days and I enjoyed every bit of it now onto the 2nd one….I had a few mistakes but I’m still learning. Thank you again! I might knit the hat afterwards yay!

I love your video tutorial and have also printed out the pattern to work alongside. Thank you so Much! One quick question, just finished the first mitt and it looks teeny - I’ve used size 4mm Uk needles and DK yarn for the adult medium size. Wondering if I’ve done something wrong or if they are meant to look teeny? Thanks advance for any help.

With the thumb sides, do you repeat each segment - the set up row, a + b each 4 times? I can't seem to figure it out from the written pattern and the video either. Help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you :)

I have tried and tried to do the increase but it just won't work. If you knit the first stitch and then do a purl increase the next stitch is not a knit its a purl but following the pattern and your video you knit the next stitch I just don't see how. What am I doing wrong?

When you increase to the right or to the left, as you add an extra stitch, the sequence of K1 P1 changes. Don't you end up with two knit or purl stiches side by side? Am I missing something?

a question ❤ in the first few rows when you are repeating the knit one, purl one pattern, my chains seem to be growing (i ended up having more and 42 stitches on my needle, i think i have like 44 now) lol what am i doing wrong ?! 😅 does purling add an additional stitch or am i just not being careful enough?

I think something is wrong. You say that working increase row D 3 times is just knit one pearl one all the way across, but the guide says otherwise?
    From the pdf:
Increase Row D: K1, P1, K1, slip the stitch marker, *K1, P1* repeat until the stitch
marker, slip the stitch marker, P1, K1, P1
Repeat Increase Row D two additional times (3 times total)
