Perfect demonstration.....all three Martin sound awesome and amazing !Apparently the ranking is D45...42 and 41.
Guess that's the reason for the amount of money we gonna pay for different guitars, its the magic of Martin factory that I always respect, thanks so much for the excellent video.
Absolutely enjoyable for hearing the fantastic sound !!!!!

Nice job, hard to beat the sound of a D-45, too much bling for me, but the sound is unmistakable.

The D-42 has forward shifted bracing, 45 and the 41 share bracing. They all are great sounding.

Better song choice would have been nice. Great player. All beautiful guitars!

It was amazing to hear all three side by side. Somehow, they all sounded so good considering your video sound quality was so poor. I replayed the D-42 section after hearing the D-45, and I consistently like the D-42 sound better. Each string is more distinct, on your video as well as the other videos I've watched. Thanks for the comparisons.

My real question about these: what happens at the factory? What is the wood selection process? Are better grains and patterns set aside for these? Who works on them? Are there specific veteran luthiers dedicated to the line? Everyone knows about the bling...

Also d42 has snowflake inlay on bridge while the 41 doesn’t

Great guitars, wrong demo choice to showcase. Simplicity guys.

As the player and no offense meant what would be simplicity, the reason I chose what I chose to play was (A) it’s mine so no charges. (B) I play this song out all the time. (C) it has complex picking and just strumming not sure you can get more simple than strumming

@@johnnygeorge8385 Points accepted! Thanks for you reply, at the time I think this was just a way of me saying it would be better to play something (maybe slower) the average guitarist might perform to get a feel for this instrument. Eg. cowboy chords with some simple flat-picking.
      Peace.

@@maxwellfan55 well you aren’t wrong on that I was to be honest quite nervous and it was very spur of the moment like I showed up to buy an accessory and ended up doing a video so a little off balance and there are some quite beautiful hues to that guitar on slow more strummed folksy playing and I mean all of that in a good way. I appreciate your feedback and I’m sure Allen Music does as well hope you have a wonderful day and thanks again for the reply.

@@johnnygeorge8385 Thanks Johnny. Fantastic, they were lovely guitars too. Wish I still had my D41 but actually love my Larrivee dread even more. Happy picking. From England.
