I'm thinking to buy a young unbroken horse. I am a good rider, never afraid, I know horsemanship but I have never work a young horse. Do you think it's a good idea or it's a best option to find an older horse like 4 or 5 years old with a minimum training already done ?
Thanks for your videos they are great !!

Thank you! And good question! If you're good with a horse and feeling confident to start a young one get one that is handled and quiet. Quiet does not mean lazy, keep that in mind. One way I do it is check the bloodlines. I prefer the ranch/foundation quarter horse lines as they tend to be solid and good thinkers. If you decide to go the route of getting one already started make sure it was done by a reputable trainer. Not someone who just likes to cowboy. You want to set yourself up for the most success you can. And if you have someone who can watch and give help or tips, take advantage of that!
