I bought this lady's book and it was wonderful. I was already a fast typer and that came to my advantage when I joined a law firm. My boss 100% appreciated that I had that skill. I REALLY wish I had watched this video before I started working at my ex firm. It would have done me a whole lot of good but I highly recommend this for someone who is just starting out in their legal career.

Robin, the paralegal field is only slightly more dominated by females. I know several male paralegals - they work hard and do very well. Don't let anything stop you from going forward if God has placed this on your heart and in your mind. :)
Thank you for your video. It was awesome and helpful. So while I have been told that my proofreading skills my spelling and my typing are all excellent, I have known for quite some time that there is an awful lot of the intricacies of Microsoft that I have to learn. And I don't want to spend a lot of time doing it! Your strategy is to find that sample document and then go to those TH-cam videos and have it broken down so that I can go through the sample document and execute every single format in that document without having to think about it or look it up. I love it! Challenge accepted :-)

Association?im a member here in Arkansas can u give me more info on paralegal skills and do i need to get my acredation to work for an large law firm.you have very good info.im working to finish my bachelor degree in business.ill like to go back in the field ad a paralegal i probably type 25 worda a minute got to get my speed up.have u wrote any books on Entry level paralegals.you are a teacher in the paralegal field?im glad to run across your videos.thanks a bunch.❤

Pamela - Honestly, no one would've hired me if I typed 10 wpm. In Typing I in high school, everyone types slowly until we learn how to move our fingers over the keys correctly. Then, we build accuracy and speed. I practiced by taking quite a few of the online tests just to see where my speed was. - Leslie :)
Really no difference at all, although some Paralegal organizations are trying to change that. For more than 30 years, the two terms have been used interchangeably.
