I really love how you keep your focus on the trail. I can see you enjoy the stops in town and the hostels but you always bring it back to the Trail and how it's so important to respect and protect it.
Sweet Whimisie..... fatigue makes cowards of us all. It's the freaking elevation and lack of oxygen!! It's kicks your tail. But you are no coward and certainly not a quitter. I can't tell you how much I admire you and your steady progress. So few people in this old world ever do what you have set out to accomplish. I admire you soooooo much. Wait till you are at the lower elevations and rested before you seriously think about quitting. You have accomplished so much..... You inspire me, young lady. God bless you and keep you..... you are in our prayers and thoughts......Love ya.... Ax
Thanks so much for taking all of us viewers along with you on this difficult but rewarding journey. The Sierra scenery is just mind bogglingly beautiful. I love your attitude about everything and your little giggles about every little problem. You just came back on trail, full pack, high altitude, so of course you're going to do fewer miles. But the views!! So worth it! Slow down and enjoy it. You got this!!!
Well thank you for showing these places. Going on a week of watching everyday. It's so special, I would imagine going as slow as possible in order to stay in this area as long as possible.
Well Starburst, you have come to the realization that the Sierras kick butt. They will be your biggest challenge on the whole PCT so don't get discouraged. Anyways, I watch you for your heart, not how many miles or how many passes you go over in a day. I'm here because I like you and love your personality. You've got it in spades missy. Just be you and let us see the mountains vicariously thru your beautiful eyes. Do what you can, don't stress the rest. We will be here for whatever comes to your day.
You can DEFINITELY finish the trail! It is so much fun watching you go through the Sierras. The Sierras are my absolutely favorite and I will be hiking the JMT starting August 3rd. But just as you said, the Sierras are hard! By now you have pretty much made your way out of them, but still.. Don't be discouraged when it gets hard. You have been such a positive person so far. And what would I do every day, if I couldn't watch your videos anymore..?! ;)
You touched on something so profound when you spoke of the visions you've worked so hard to get to witness.... When I was living in the wilderness...especially in winter.. I would be stopped dead in my tracks, even while struggling to survive, and just stand in awe of what I was seeing before me. I truly don't feel these remarkable moments could be experienced without the time, efforts & sacrifice it took to be in that exact place at that exact moment in time. ✌ 👣 👑 👑 Blessings to you StarBurst. The goal in life is to have those memories.....not the dreams of them. We WILL IT..we don't Wish It. ✌
Good morning! Wow. That scenery is beyond spectacular! You are so lucky to see it and experience it in person. But then again, you have worked your butt off to be in that place, so you deserve that kind of reward. So happy, too, that the skies are clear so you can see the mountains and lakes in all their glory!
Hope your crossing goes well, wish you were not alone for that. your are so full of energy and stay positive . thanks for all your posts. I would love to try a portion of the PCT soon.
Girl you are crushing this. You've got this so keep that infectious smile going and know there will be good days and bad. You've amazed me in just how tough you are but don't push it or you'll get hurt. There's a ton of time left so keep up the great hike and thanks for sharing your epic trip with us. Your not alone as I was watching Darwin onthetrail and he too was taking about how hard the Sierras are. So take your time and hike on.
Baby girl thank you from the heart In taking me with u on this journey and enjoying every moment of it. The views are amazing and your attitude is strong with a wonderful heart. Good luck and you ain't alone we are all with you
Been following you all the way. Hang in there. I used to hike the Sierra Nevada a lot in my youth. I love your determination and your kindness. Stay safe. I for one am proud of you.
What beautiful scenery.! You said the only way to see it is to hike there but thanks to you we did see it. Looks so peaceful and relaxing and thanks for sharing it with us!
Oh my gosh Jennifer. I think this was the most beautiful video you've ever produced. Absolutely spectacular thank you for sharing. Now I'm being the worried mom. Waiting to see your next video. All my best. Shelley
shelley jimenez the Rae Lakes region is really well loved and one of the highlights of the JMT ... remembering a trip I did in the late ‘80s from Kersarge Pass over Glen, then on to Dragon Lake, crossing back over the Sierra crest at North Dragon Pass and back to Onion Valley ... caught fish too 🙂✨
Hey you! I just can't get over what you are accomplishing. I'm a 54 year old mom and I have one son who is 19. My husband and I could never imagine being able to do what you're doing! We are so very proud of you I can't imagine what your family is going through though LOL. All our best again. Shelley
The beauty of America's landscapes always recharged my personal batteries and made me realize as a person in the Mountains we are very small in the scheme of the universe, yet never have I felt more alive. Hang in there Kiddo you can do it another great video.
30% is AWESOME!! Hang in there, don't doubt yourself and keep on putting one foot in front of the other and you will get there. You're doing AMAZING!!!
Your enthusiasm for the outdoors is so infectious - its great to see. I just watched your intro video today where you talk about why you wanted to walk the PCT and you said that you'd be so proud of yourself if you only did 500 miles - therefore you must be very very proud indeed. Keep it up!!! You are doing great!!!
Just incredible video. Thanks for not adding distracting music. I love music but just saying... you pan nice and slow and the scenery is breathtaking! Keep up the great work, and enjoy your trek!
Sorry I’m late to the party but I started watching a NOBO first. I love that suspension bridge!!! So glad to see it again. Also, I love how emotional you’ve been at certain parts of the trail! Thanks for sharing!
Great attitude about setting goals and just doing the best you can. Yep, going with the flow and accepting what happens, while still pushing toward success, is a good life lesson. Thank you for sharing and giving us all something to think about.
Congrats on 800 miles!!! Fantastic! I love ❤️ your videos! Your honest reaction to the beauty around you, and honoring the effort it took for you to be there, in that moment, is perfect and touching. That water going down the chute is famous, or perhaps better said, infamous. It still looks incredibly dangerous, even in a snow year lower than in 2017. This is a cliffhanger ending, lol, but am really looking forward to the video after this one.
You have the best attitude. Found your pct video day 153 and watched 2 and started at day 1. I look forward to spending time with you each day through these videos. Wish I was there with you for support and the epic experience as well. Your positivity is rubbing off and I needed that. Sending love..Hil from Porterville, Ca.❤
So proud of you of all you done. I am living my dream through yours. You make me laugh from licking trees to talking to lizards. You're our home girl (NV). Happy Trails. 🤓
You are doing an amazing job of capturing the Sierra !! Wow !! I’m so stoked to get there next year. Also 😄😄 You always crack me up at some point in the video “ oh ! We have a fancy sign here ! “ the way you said that- you funny. Thanks so much for these videos. I’m just loving this journey.
You are doing great, you have inspired me, and other people for sure. Keep going, this is such an epic story...what a great record of the journey...keep going...keep going
Such an amazing video with so much beautiful nature! You inspire me to hike to these places that you can't just see without the work you've put into it. 800 miles. You earned this. Thank you. Safe crossings!
You are doing great! Like you said, with all the 3-4K foot climbs/descents, you are going to slow down. That’s okay! You’ll get there. BTW, I 💙 the Woods Creek Bridge! They recently improved it after it got damaged last year with all the snow & runoff. It used to have wooden slats instead of the metal footpath...and some of the slats were missing, lol. To me, it was a right of passage. But, yeah, heights.
It has been amazing watching you make it through the Sierra Nevadas. I think you are doing awesome considering it is the toughest section of the PCT!! Be safe and happy trails😬
keep up the great work. my ocd would be going off also with 2 different socks lol. gorgeous views. i love the water. how clear it was. i have been doing some trout fishing videos here on mt hood....i enjoy seeing the scenery and nature. last 2 nights i was picking huckleberries in the mt hood forest right by my house. sunsets were unreal over the mountains. views of mt hood were unreal. your doing great. thanks for bringing us along on the adventure. ice cream bar or a free 22 oz of any beer at our store on mt hood. if you make it through. govy general store. government camp. i will buy you one. a couple guys from the tv show finding bigfoot came into out store yesterday. pretty cool .i love it when you get emotional over the mt. i feel that way too about mt hood. i had tears in my goggles once riding up the lift chair on the glacier one day. how gorgeous the mt was. how blessed i am to live here. etc. i am 6'3 and a black belt and i had tears over the mt. even tonight. after 12 years living on mt. hood. it still blows my mind. the sunset tonight was unreal. i have been picking berries every night at sunset by my house and it is just unreal. mt hood in the distance. berries all over. sunset through the trees. i feel so blessed. i understand what you are feeling when you get like that. you rock.
be careful on the water crossing wait till somebody comes to cross with you. loving everything about you and these videos. stay safe and continue to have fun.
You are killing me with these views! I'm finally caught up with your adventures, I love watching where each day takes you. You have given me so much inspiration to attempt my own through hike.
Girl you are doing so awesome! It looks like they renovated the bridge which is awesome... even if it doesn’t have the old rustic look it looks safer. Keep your chin up and remember progress is progress, even if it’s one step a day. 💜💜💜
Two things...you didn’t say “Good Morning”....totally bummed me.....2....what is up with this painted Sierra hussy face look? .?? Oh for shame! Looking pretty for all the bears!!! Hahahahahaahh! ( I really do know it’s your sunscreen)
Hike your own hike. You are in the hardest section with climbs and altitude which zaps you. You are awesome and have a great spirit. Carry on my dear and listen to yourself. That is the best journey.
You're hiking through the hardest part of the PCT Starburst and it is mostly above 8000 feet so you will get tired. I hate to tell you this, but make your resupply side trips as short as possible because you have re-acclimate for a couple of days if you spend too much time off trail. I love me some High Sierra views. I'm glad you are sweeping your panorama views slower Starburst. Digital camera sweeping doesn't get definition very well. That 1st stream crossing was funny. I always wore two pairs of socks and I carried 4 pairs. I did what you did, going with flip flops for crossings. Bad stream crossings are why you should not cross alone if its very deep for sure, but since you made this video it is like two weeks ago so I'm sure you made it and we don't have to worry. North of Tuolumne Meadows there is a river you'll have to swim across. So you may want to put your pack on an air mattress and push it ahead of you so it doesn't get totally soaked.
Asdzaan; You 're right. I was kind of worried she would't have time to complete the PCT until I watched her Kennedy Meadows live stream that was three weeks or more ahead of her videos. I have enjoyed Starburst's progression on the PCT. I sometimes worry that her naivete' may hurt her, but she is carrying on.
I remember that little crossing!! My friend and I camped and then got an early start up Glen pass and we weren’t walking for more than 10 minutes and came up to that spot and we were like darn. Already got to get our feet wet today and then we had to make it all the way into Onion Valley
Jen, You have achieved so much and seen so many places already, places that other people like myself can only dream about. If it wasn't for people like yourself, I would never get to see what these places even look like. That Glen Pass sort of reminded me of a moon landscape, but its certainly somewhere I would love to see one day, but I doubt that will ever happen now. I was glad to hear that you decided to wait until the morning before crossing the river. Atb Glenn.
Hope you made it across the raging “stream” safely!! I live in Idaho at 6.000 ft and get exhausted hiking at the elevations you are!! It’s very normal!! You’re doing an amazing job!!! Happy hiking young Starburst!!! (Said in a Yoda voice). Lol
So many wonderful views in today's vlog....AMAZING! Good luck finding your tempo. I'm sure the "hot spots" are part of the lack of confidence at times. As others have said, you'll find your groove by listening to yourself. I'm sure the upcoming family visit will help with all things and then you can reset and recalibrate your tempo going forward. And with so many high passes and summits in recent days, I am sure you are just feeling the impact of those efforts and accomplishments at times too. You got this.
Was wondering when we were going to get the next video. Initially I thought maybe she was just busy over the weekend. But then it it dawned on me you have no weekdays or weekends when you are out on a trail. Everyday is a Saturday for you. Or a Monday, Or whatever your favorite day is. Thanks for the video!
oh my these Sierra views 😍 you laughed outta tension so many times in this one haha it must've been really tiring. glad you've been choosing safety =) (and that 30% marker was so straight! nice haha)
Awesome section on this video,, great attitude ,your experience should be enjoyed,it's not a race. Beautiful scenery ,definitely take time for your mind to take it all in,,the memories will be with you forever. Wow,wild water slide,"do it on a tube? " OK ,go ahead ,,I'll watch,,lol.. Please be extra careful at questionable water crossings, maybe wait for others if you can,, clear water depth and slippery rock faces are easy to misjudge.. ,slow and steady...,, hope your next video is out in an hour ,I have got to know you made it across OK...until next vid....Stay Safe and God Bless....
Now you see why the Rae Lakes Loop is one of the most popular trips in Kings Canyon. Glen and Pinchot Passes in one day would be a very long, tiring day. The climb from the suspension bridge often seems unending. My prediction for the next video has you spending the night before Mather Pass ;-) , although with the lower snow level, I think you might be able to do it if you are feeling your best. You still have some good uphill ahead of you, as well as a 'fun' crossing of the South Fork Kings River. Also, based on the water level in the "slide", I am thinking the crossing of White Fork wasn't as bad as your imagination made it. It seems like you had a pretty significant melt-off while you were off trail.
There was a fire around Yosemite last I heard! No need killing yourself over miles. 🌠🌟🌠💫 You're in God's Country, enjoy the beauty of it all. Not very many people in the WHOLE WORLD will ever get to experience what you will have experienced!!! 💬you go girl! 😁😊😉
Congratulations! I love watching your journey. i've been wondering about your tiredness, could you have gotten bitten by a tick and have the beginnings of lyme disease. I hope not, but if you have it it's better to get treated early.
Aw that's cliff hanging ending which I have to wait for the next YT post from you. Starburst , you did great on the beautiful view which I love to be there right now. BTW when did this happened? In June? I am aware of July brings mosquitoes.
Check out "Darwin on the trail" PCT episode 12? He mentions that he is only pulling 15 mile days when typically he does 20's... He is a beast! If he is dropping down in miles you know its hard. You are doing great!
I remember seeing a 2011 PCT video. It was a high snow year and there one person was filmed riding down that water slide on top of their expensive Therm-a-rest air pad.
You have to remember you took almost a week off trail too at this point. Your body def gets readjusted to town life. No need to be hard on yourself after walking 800 miles then ending up finishing the PCT!
*Dirty* As you know I am doing my *Triple Crown* watching you and two other hikers. How come you are always caked in dirt, whilst Dixie and Martino always look so much cleaner? 😉
When you go back and review this video, freeze frame at 11:44 and look at the evergreen in the middle of the frame. Notice, what looks like smoke come from the tip top of the tree. Give a thumbs up if you saw it the first time.
SMOKE and more smoke. Last year was fire and ice, lets hope this isn't the year of fire. Too damn early in the year for every other week to be in the 90s. Yes after a cool down into the 70s were right back to another week of 90+. How can we keep our Washington Green when it's too hot and soon to be dry. Won't you like to be home on Puget Sound for some 0's?
Yes girl, you can do it! Walk your own pace, listen to your body (!!!), take breaks, try to eat lots of greens while you're in town. And I'm guessing you're low in minerals. Magnesium, calcium, potassium and iron maybe? Your body uses a lot of minerals while working out /hiking. Make sure you support your machine and use the right fuel
I really love how you keep your focus on the trail. I can see you enjoy the stops in town and the hostels but you always bring it back to the Trail and how it's so important to respect and protect it.
Yes!!

Hi from NJ
Just incredible video. Thanks for not adding distracting music. I love music but just saying... you pan nice and slow and the scenery is breathtaking! Keep up the great work, and enjoy your trek!
Hang in there! The high Sierra is super difficult. You are amazing!, Love your videos and all the animals are the best ever keep them coming

The weather looks good. The lakes are gorgeous. 800 miles! You can do it! Go Starburst. Be safe. Will be waiting for your next post.!!!
Great views. Glad to see the trails you are actually hiking.
And congratulations on 800❤️🌸🌸🌸🌸👍👍👍
😆your reaction to the waterslide was hilarious😆
Well about bloody time young lady! I was getting worried! Glad you're ok.
BREATHTAKING VIEWS & AWESOME VIDEO! BE SAFE!
oh my these Sierra views 😍
you laughed outta tension so many times in this one haha it must've been really tiring. glad you've been choosing safety =)
(and that 30% marker was so straight! nice haha)
21:26 Has to be your best edit of this whole trip!
Also at least they fixed the bridge, when we passed over it going south near the end there was a broken part where the left side was like unbolted
Beautiful! Thanks for sharing....and I would not have liked that bridge either.
Yes, let's quilt and go shopping!!! Congrats on 800 miles.. 'Cowgirl' camp again, not cold?
Aw that's cliff hanging ending which I have to wait for the next YT post from you. Starburst , you did great on the beautiful view which I love to be there right now. BTW when did this happened? In June? I am aware of July brings mosquitoes.
Check out "Darwin on the trail" PCT episode 12? He mentions that he is only pulling 15 mile days when typically he does 20's... He is a beast! If he is dropping down in miles you know its hard. You are doing great!
Deadly scene 1:42 wow paradise on earth!!!
I remember seeing a 2011 PCT video. It was a high snow year and there one person was filmed riding down that water slide on top of their expensive Therm-a-rest air pad.
Reverend Al Amazing.
Glen was the hardest pass on the JMT. It will get easier ahead. Just keep walking you can do it.
Lovely glimpse of Charlotte Dome, 2:40
You’ve done more than 800. You climbed whitney and at least one other side trail.
Yes, you did sister 800 miles!!! Those views are yours!
It's like you're hiking in the cooles amusement/waret park of all time.
feeling tired in the High Sierra could mean you need drink more water. At 5000 ft or more you should double the amount of water your drinking.
By a young girl that reminded me of you name Caroline Jones. Hope you enjoy. Best wishes Shelley
Killing it! Keep it up
30%. How many miles from the start?
You are the " Animal Whisperer!" 🐻🐸🐍🐹🐀🐞🐜🐢🐇🐺🐐. The animals all love you Star 🌟💫🌠burst! @15:10 - 16:32 😢😢 You got my eye watering again. Stop That!!! 💕
Oh yeah, the Sierra is hard!
Elevation is a killer
It’s going to get so much easier you’ll probably get bored in Nor Cal.
Yes girl, you can do it! Walk your own pace, listen to your body (!!!), take breaks, try to eat lots of greens while you're in town. And I'm guessing you're low in minerals. Magnesium, calcium, potassium
and iron maybe? Your body uses a lot of minerals while working out /hiking. Make sure you support your machine and use the right fuel
Your the owner of your journey. You set your own schedule in the wild.
YOU CAN DO IT!
I don't know if I did it correctly I was trying to send you a video of a new song I just heard. It reminded me of you. It's called bare feet.
Cutie pie!
sweetie olease keep faith
What happen to her cheek
Don Gressett Sunscreen!
Thank You
Normally I try to avoid flame wars like the plague, but for the 2 people who thumbs downed: bite me.
Show the scene instead of you crying!
