Tim these videos are so helpful! I know you did Rock salt and nails already but any chance you can show us some of the riffs in the bridge he did at Red Barn?
Great lesson as always! If you could find the time you should do “of which there is no like” by mandolin orange! I’ve been dying to hear ya break that one down!
Viewing this as over complicating is definitely subjective... I assume that the majority of my viewers break into two categories: those who only need to see the intro to "get" how it's played, and those that need the help of in depth explanation to learn it...
Beginner checking in. I don't know the progressions without watching stuff like this because I mostly only play chorded basic strum songs. As I'm learning more songs like this it IS becoming more intuitive however. Really fun journey so far!
Lot of respect for you. Every Tyler post you do is spot on. Id shake your hand if i could. Thanks.
Happy to help! Thanks for the positive feedback Johnny!
So thankful you did a lesson for this song. This was the first song by Tyler I ever heard and I was hooked.
I’m happy the lesson helped, thanks for letting me know!

Damn beautiful
I appreciate it!
Tim if u could do time Tyler Childers cover of Pink Floyd plzzzz that would be amazing
It’s so weird how similar Tyler’s playing is to Adam Jones from TOOL
Clearly, I need to be getting more sleep, because at first my brain read the title of this as “If Whiskey Could Take Guitar Lessons.”
Hahaha still suffering from the time change a few weeks back?
Tbh wish you would put the chord shape on the screen
Sorry about that!
Over complicating….. It’s a simple G C D progression with hammers and pulls…
