This wonderful video explains the importance and impact of this transformative 'power to the people/youths/women' science-based approach in dealing with complex issues such as biodiversity loss, land and sea degradation and restoration, more sustainable agricultural and food systems, and conservation of critical ecosystems and their services. This approach shows us that it all boils down to the interest and actions of the people that live among, next to, and who rely on these natural resources for their livelihoods. I will share this widely, as it is always inspiring to see such great ideas as to how we can collectively make a much greater difference!

I love doing citizen science in the area where I live so I’m excited to see how others are doing it in a different part of the world. Now I want to try tidepooling sometime! So great when activities we enjoy can benefit science!
