    From my air-con experience, mine had condensation at the pipes due to the air-con being set at a low fan speed and it kinda caused a stain on the walls. Air-con company advise us to set the air-con to medium fan speed and it fixed the problem. Another thing possible reason is the coil in the air-con could be stuffed with dirt so it's time for chemical cleaning. Normally air-cons need chemical cleaning once a year, and general servicing every 3 months. Too much chemical cleaning will cause the metal parts inside the air-con to corrode faster.

    Try setting it to 25 Deg, adjust the louvre for maximum airflow and turning the fan speed up a notch. works for me removing the aircon condensation. switch to fan only mode with 1hr off timer in the morning, helps to dry out the cooling fins.

    Usually when an aircon leaks, it is most likely due to the scums that has blocked the pipe that is meant for the water that has been condensed to flow down to the drainage most probably located in one of the toilets. There are 2 options, get the aircon guy to clean the aircon and unblock the scums for you or you do it yourself, clean the tray that collects the water at the aircon and get a very strong wet vacuum cleaner and suck those scums out of the pipes.

    The reason for the leaking of the air-condition is because of the piping issue. The design of the pipe and its route to your drain is very important. If there is some kind of an angle issue with the pipe design route, it will lead to blockage, resulting in the leakage of water. A lot of contractors in Singapore are not experienced enough to design the piping issue.

    Air conditioner should be serviced ideally once every 3month to 6month. It might not be obvious but the machine do collects alot of dust and particle and get clogged up especially if u use baby powder or makeup that consist of powdery substances.

  • @averilt
    @averilt 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    I service my airconditioner in my room every three months without fail in order to prevent it from leaking. You gotta do it regularly because the pipes get clogged with sticky gel for whatever reason.

    • @GeorgiaCaney
      @GeorgiaCaney  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry that might have come across wrong! We also service out aircon every 3 months but recently after it was serviced it started leaking and stained the wall. Worried the land lord will make us pay for wall damage!

    • @averilt

      Georgia Caney ohhh and it still leaks like that?! Yeah something is definitely broken in there! When mine started leaking every month I had to have the entire machinery in there replaced! Haven’t had issues since. So sorry you’re suffering in this horrid heat 🤢

      We welcome the brave! There are some infections but still under control. Singapore is famous for being clinically clean for years but graduated to being efficient and boring. Lots to do without wearing masks but if this is not reassuring, just bring a suitcase of surgical masks to add to our mask distribution exercise now underway. An extra suitcase of masks would be appreciated.

    On the most of lease contract, we had to cover once three months aircon cleaning fee, and yet, we had some issues time to time. But generally it was covered by the annual contract with aircon cleaning company. I thought it was a kind of standard in SG?
    You’re doing such a great job with insta photos❣️

      We also do the same, but concerned we’ll be charged for the wall damage is what I meant :)

    • @yukat3206
      @yukat3206 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh, I see. You should ask if you have any honest & reliable handyman or worker in your apartment. They might know how to fix the damage on the wall with minimum cost. But if you don’t know the right person, they might try & even charge you more than necessary...💦 Anyway, it doesn’t cost anything for just casually asking & see how it goes?
