Being available so early, but having a low stat cap means that we will naturally progress onto another pal and see more of the roster as we level. About the only thing they could do is introduce evolutions to Palworld to boost the stats of early-game pals with late-game items to fill out the endgame roster a bit. Pokemon did a really good job with this and is definitely a space PocketPair could expand into.
I'm currently doing a challenge run where I crank up the damage I take from attacks to 2.5X and reduce the damage I deal to 0.5X. It's now forcing me to use my pals to fight in order to progress. These videos are really helpful to me because of this challenge
I could see a balance state where the entire game becomes 0.5x player power. Its honestly disappointing how Gobfin invalidate the entire roster as soon as you can farm them midgame. They suck, i know, but i really like the model of the elemental crossbows. give the player access to status effect rounds and have the player be utility or support for the team of pals. I would argue that most of the game is more about capturing pals then slaughtering them so it makes sense (to me) to have the player be equipped to make capturing easier and status effects do that. plus it would make combos like wet-lighting and vine-fire way easier to do.
I played around with Nox a lot when the game first came out, and you hit the nail on the head. He is almost overpowered in the low level areas because of how many normal types there are. As soon as you get to an area that is level 20 or above he has trouble not getting knocked out.
I never even remembered nox lol will come in handy helping farm kingpaca for legendary bow! Green handgun is about the best available in the beginning anyway if you can get to and loot the south sanctuary!
Bristlias are usually rolling two or three deep. Sometimes more, rarely you can catch one alone or with only other types around. And Yeah, they basically spawn wherever the bees do in the more center west part of the map. Same areas as Mozzis and Wolliops or whatever.
Keep seeing Knot a Pastry on the screen. Not sure where it's from. Also, I recall a Korean comic where a Nox was forced to drink its parents when they were "condensed".
I never used a Nox and now I know I didn't need to! Great work in these findings. I'm going to try and test work speed passives (Work slave, Artisan, Lucky and Serious) affects chilling food items and if they extend the times further. I know it works on Cooking and smelting but its damn hard finding those passives on Vanwyrm cryst (preferred pal as it chills day and night) Also bred a work speed Moozerina (still waiting for results on that) and a Jormuntide Ignis.
The Ranch pals dont really get that much for work speed. The mane thing is there partner skill, maxing that out. However the freezer pals DO get better times form work speed Passives.
