  • Sick of losing the histogram as soon as you go to change iso on the A7C? Well I have a fix for that. With the lack of buttons and dials on the A7C it can be really annoying to shoot with unless you map functions really well for quick access. I’ll show you how to do that here so you don’t lose your mind.

I've had this camera for almost a year and I've been searching for a way to do this. You've made my life a lot easier!!! Thanks

While I wish I could just spin the dial to adjust the iso without clicking a button first, this will work after the custom button’s setting is enabled. I can still work with this. Thanks so much for sharing this!

Thanks for this awesome tip/hack dude! You’re my hero!! (It’s beyond me how Sony would skip the third wheel on the A7C…)

Nice. Very straightforward explanation. I hadn't taken the time to investigate this setup and now I don't have to! It makes perfect sense. Thanks a bunch 👍👍

That sounds terrible. I could never use auto exposure.

I wish the ISO to be on the record button and then rotating the top dial, I had it in my d750, or one button for the left hand somewhere near the lens mount like I had it on my D5200 and rotate the top dial ......

You can set the ISO to be the record button. Or the buttons on your lens when available

Exactly what I was thinking when I figured this trick out. We need three dial in the the A7C ii model.

Does the iso function set to the dial resets after every time we switch it off?

So wild you cant change default dial behavior. Reminds me of old point and shoots where you had to turn off flash after every power cycle. Come on Sony!

  • @n.ducanh

Pretty sure thats the wheel dial. The front dial is the dial below the shutter button on most other sony's full frame cameras

Its has ato iso in this camera yes or not ?

  • @guanyangxue9330

Sony did this deliberately… very stupid default value, and you can’t keep customized options after restart.
