Endlich das passende Wetter und die richtigen Lichtverhältnisse für die GoPros! - Der „Kaiserjäger“ - eine historische Militärstrasse aus Zeiten des 1. Weltkrieges - war in den Morgenstunden mit seinen schattigen Kurven die ideale Wegstrecke, um fahrtechnisch auf „Betriebstemperatur“ zu kommen. Rund um den Manghen-Pass sind die kleinen und engen Strassen allesamt frisch asphaltiert - das waldreiche Umfeld offenbarte jedoch noch deutlich die Spuren des Orkans von 2018. Der Rückweg an diesem sonnigen Nachmittag machte Appetit auf ‘nen leckeren Eisbecher im Zentrum von Kaltern - per pedes allerdings wegen der großzügigen Fußgängerzone... Übrigens, diese Eisdiele am Markt ist definitiv eine Empfehlung wert! Auf dem Weg zurück ins Hotel fuhren die ganz Harten noch einen Umweg über den Mendelpass. Merkwürdigerweise fehlt von diesen Filmaufnahmen des Guides „jegliche Spur“. Ob das wohl Absicht war???
Finally the right weather and lighting conditions for the GoPros! - The "Kaiserjäger" - a historic military road from the times of the 1st World War - was in the morning hours with its shady curves the ideal route to get driving technically to "operating temperature". Around the Manghen Pass, the small and narrow roads are all freshly paved - but the wooded surroundings still clearly revealed the traces of the 2018 hurricane. The way back on this sunny afternoon made us hungry for a delicious ice cream sundae in the centre of Kaltern - but on foot because of the spacious pedestrian zone. . . By the way, this ice cream parlour at the market is definitely worth a recommendation! On the way back to the hotel, the really tough ones took a detour over the Mendel Pass. Oddly enough, there is "no trace" of this footage of the guide. I wonder if that was intentional.
Finalmente il tempo giusto e le giuste condizioni di luce per le GoPros! Il «Kaiserjäger» - una storica strada militare risalente ai tempi del 1. Guerra mondiale - era il percorso ideale per raggiungere la «temperatura di esercizio» durante le ore del mattino, con le sue curve ombreggiate. Intorno al Passo Manghen, le strade strette e strette sono tutte asfaltate di fresco, ma l’ambiente boschivo ha mostrato ancora chiaramente le tracce dell’uragano del 2018. Il ritorno in questo pomeriggio di sole ha fatto prendere l’appetito per «una deliziosa coppa di gelato nel centro di Caldaro, ma per pedes a causa dell’ampia zona pedonale. . . A proposito, questa gelateria al mercato merita sicuramente una raccomandazione! Sulla via del ritorno all’hotel, i più ostici fecero un’altra deviazione attraverso il Passo della Mendola. Stranamente, da queste riprese della guida manca «ogni traccia. » Chissà se l’ha fatto apposta??
¡Por fin el clima y las condiciones de luz adecuadas para las GoPros! - El "Cazador de emperadores" - una vía militar histórica de la época del 1 de enero de Guerra Mundial - en las horas de la mañana, con sus curvas de luz, era el camino ideal para llegar a la "temperatura de funcionamiento" de la técnica de la carretera. Alrededor del Pasaje Manghen, las pequeñas y estrechas calles están todas asfaltadas, pero el entorno boscoso aún reveló claramente las huellas del huracán de 2018. El camino de regreso en esta tarde soleada hizo apetito por "una deliciosa taza de helado en medio de los fríos - per pedes, pero debido a la generosa zona peatonal. . . Por cierto, esta heladería en el mercado definitivamente vale la pena una recomendación! En el camino de vuelta al hotel, los muy duro dieron otro desvío por el paso de Mendel. Curiosamente, estas cintas de la guía no tienen "toda huella. " ¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿
Wreszcie odpowiednie warunki pogodowe i oświetleniowe dla GoProsów! Kaiserjäger" - historyczna droga wojskowa z czasów I wojny światowej. II wojna światowa - była w godzinach porannych z jej zacienionymi zakrętami idealną trasą, aby doprowadzić jazdę technicznie do "temperatury roboczej". Wokół przełęczy Manghen małe i wąskie drogi są już świeżo utwardzone - ale w zalesionej okolicy wciąż wyraźnie widać ślady huraganu z 2018 roku. Droga powrotna w to słoneczne popołudnie sprawiła, że zgłodnieliśmy na pyszne lody w centrum Kaltern - ale na piechotę ze względu na przestronny deptak. . . Swoją drogą, ta lodziarnia na rynku jest zdecydowanie godna polecenia! W drodze powrotnej do hotelu naprawdę twardziele wybrali objazd przez przełęcz Mendel. Co dziwne, po tym nagraniu przewodnika "nie ma śladu". Zastanawiam się, czy to było zamierzone.

What can I say but that it just gets better every week. This weeks route has some of the most beautiful views that I have ever seen. Sir Arthur i can't ride my k1600gtl due to the weather but seeing you guys on yours is just as satisfying. I don't know how these videos haven't been nominated for an academy award.

Ich liebe die kleinen engen Pässe, wo man schon auch noch auf die Technik des Fahrens achten muss.
Die Manghen- und Vezzena-Pässe kannte ich bis dato nicht - aber bin jetzt echt hieß sie zu fahren, sie bieten beide scheinbar nicht nur recht anspruchsvolle kurven sondern auch geniale Aussichten -toll ! 😲😲
Ihr habt Spaß gehabt, die Truppe ist wie immer wieder sehr bunt gemischt und es macht richtig Spaß euch zuzuschauen. Danke für die Mitnahme und den wunderschönen Film 🙏🙏

.... vor allem wenn die in der eigenen Garage steht!
Bis auf gelegentliche thermische Probleme bei langen und mit niedrigerem Tempo gefahrenen Auffahrten, wie zum z.B. hoch auf’s Stilfser Joch ist die K 1600GT nach wie vor (m)eine absolute Traummaschine. Bin in über 30 Jahren schon vieles gefahren, aber dieser 6-Zylinder toppt in der enormen Kraftentfaltung bei seidenweichem Motorlauf einfach alles!
Hallo, das war leider der ausschlaggebende Grund warum wir nun fast alle auf die Boxer umgestiegen sind. Ende des Jahres soll es ja ne "neue " K1600geben - mal sehen was die dann macht.
@@sirarthurbmw1841 Ja, das kann ich verstehen. Die neueren GS- oder RT-Boxer haben ja schon lange ihr Gummikuh-Image abgelegt und überzeugen genauso wie die K’s mit hervorragenden Fahreigenschaften.

Ich Rate jeden die Reifen der K GT UND DIE GTL ZU WECHSELN BEVOR DIE MASCHINE ZU VERKAUFEN.
Ich hatte mit die GT mit der Bridgestone Reifen überhaupt gar kein Spaß gehabt bis ich die Reifen gewechselt habe,
Anstatt Bridgestone, Michelin.
Jetzt habe ich eine ganz andere Maschine, einfach Spitze.

Beautifully done!. But the drone takes the videos on a different level. Maybe you can use it while riding as well.
We took this pass opposite to you. (North to south). Some tornati (tight switchbacks) were really hard to navigate... Very tight coming up.
But the blodwurst sausage and polenta in that restaurant on top were the best I ever had.
The drone adds a video perspective but takes away the spirit of a group ride. I think drone coverage is possible without any motorcycles and is not what this group is offering and sharing. I feel they are taking me along for the ride and love it!
I disagree.
Riding on a twisty road and watching it from not too high above with added views of beautiful scenery around, adds another level to the motion of the entire group.
When we are in a large group, we use the drones to take pictures of the landscape. The Monte Grappa film should be ready on Friday. Today's drones are on the one hand too slow for our speed - on the other hand it is too dangerous for us. One disadvantage of the drones is the time lost when unpacking and repacking. Wait for Friday if you like it. Warm greetings

Agree about time lost etc. One way of handling it is choosing a spot maybe on a hill above the serpentine road. A guy with drone stays behind while filming the group moving down ahead.
After he catches up at the next brake stop.

Für dieses Jahr haben wir unsere Jahresausfahrt und auch die Herbstausfahrt schon gebucht (die Auftaktfahrt fällt Corona-bedingt aus) und wir hoffen, dass beides auch stattfinden kann/darf. Ich wünsch dir für eure Touren immer viel Spaß und alles Gute! 😊

When do the auxiliary lights on Jos's bike flicker so much?
The LEDs do not emit a permanent light but a pulsed light. It's too fast for the human eye - that's why we don't see it. We are filming at 60 FPS - and the camera may register that. The additional headlights from Jos are "NoName" articles - not from BMW and therefore they flash more strongly.
