    You sir are a lifesaver, THANK YOU! The instructions never mentioned replacing a possible fuse next to the motor, just the one right next to the switch (nice that they gave me an extra fuse by the switch so I can replace the one next to the motor). Worked like a charm. Seen you have other maintenance videos, subscribed ☺️

      Thanks for watching and subscribing! Comments like yours make my day and justify my efforts in making these videos. My viewers keep me engaged in looking into things that have happened and things that I research to find the solution for. I love the product but the manual and getting help for this product are sub pár. My channel is all about what I call helping you do stuff and things. Getting feedback tells me if I was able to help someone with their problems. Thanks for watching.

    the superfit instructions say to "clean the belt and pulley grooves regularly "and "adjust the motor belt", it did stop some of the slip but, made a lot of motor noise and didn't effect the squealing. Did I miss something, the motor cover on my treadmill doesn't pop up like yours does 8:09 mins... I'm suspecting, full of dust or the wheels on the rollers need lubricant?
    My two year old superfit, worked great at first, is now making an awful squealing noise and, the belt slips... I'm in "walking belt adjustment hell" trying to get that right again after reading that noise and slippage might have been a belt that is too tight or too loose
    senior lady here, trying to get up the nerve to watch your video again and take it apart, if that is what I have to do... eeek no one does treadmill service in my area.
    the on/off switch quit last year but, fortunately, I can control that with a power strip. A good thing because costway tells me, they don't sell parts and at 1.5 years, it is out of warranty. My next treadmill, will be a better brand like ProFit, who at least talked to me about a problem with that treadmill, when it was 10 years old. Costways, service... heh...

    UPDATE: This solution is for the issue of the conveyor belt being stuck with code error E05. The treadmill turns on, the fuze is good, the motor is trying to go but the belt is not moving and producing a burning smell.
    In my case, the issue was the motor out of alignment and it could not spin the little side belt that’s connected to the main conveyor belt. When you take the top cover off, you can see if the motor is aligned parallel to the nearby components. If not, there are 2 bolts behind and under the motor that you can adjust it with and release any tension. Just make sure the bolts are tight again once you align the motor.
    My treadmill started spinning again once I aligned the motor. It did sound different than before though, perhaps some damage was already done when it got stuck, but so far the treadmill been running without any other issues. Good luck.

      After i did the lubrication and readjusted the belt i have started getting this e05 error. This happens randomly after treadmill runs for 30 min. I haven't opened the treadmill but my hunch is that i have tighted the belt too much .

    These treadmills, I just discovered, have a hidden maintenance menu!
    To access it, remove the front panel as indicated in this video (8:00) to gain access to the PCB that contains the external LED display (9:25) (it's the PCB that's screwed onto the plastic next to the Bluetooth speaker). Power the machine on and remove the orange safety magnet. When E7 is displayed and the machine starts beeping, press and hold the small button on the back of the display PCB. The beeping should stop and you should get access to 9 service codes.
    I need to double check my codes to make sure I didn't screw anything up. Rudolf Horak, can you go through this service menu on your machine and record your default values and post them so we know for sure what the default values are. I'm pretty sure I didn't mess with anything prior to writing these default values but it would be nice to have confirmation of what the default values are. (It was also _way_ late last night when I figured this out, so I might have accidentally saved an altered value.)
    Here is a table of my codes with my best guess as to what they do:
    Code Value Purpose
    1 28 unknown
    2 100 unknown
    3 60 Seconds in a minute?
    4 98 Either the minimum voltage or the walking-mode voltage regulated to the motor
    5 110 Voltage regulated to the motor
    6 1 Boolean value for some option (weight tracking?)
    7 6 unknown
    8 30 Adjusts the walking-mode speed (30 = 3.5 mph)
    9 75 Adjusts top speed (75 = 7.5 mph)
    To save, press and hold the small button until the machine resets. The E7 beeping will occur again once the machine has fully reset.
    I turned 5 down to 1 while experimenting and got an E5 error. Hence, a possible fix for the infamous E5 error may be a voltage controller issue. Change the value under 5 to a higher voltage to solve the issue?

    • @Mr_Game_And_Walk
      @Mr_Game_And_Walk ปีที่แล้ว

      These all have a max 8-bit value of 255 EXCEPT for 6 which is a Boolean 1 or 0.

    • @Mr_Game_And_Walk
      @Mr_Game_And_Walk ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I assume NO responsibility if you turn 9 all the way up and blow our your motor. lol

    • @Mr_Game_And_Walk
      @Mr_Game_And_Walk ปีที่แล้ว

      I think 4 is the voltage sent to the motor in standing mode. 8 is DEFINITELY the max standing mode speed. Again, I assume NO responsibility!!! Alter these codes and "walk" super fast without a rail to hold on to at your own risk! I just turned 4 to 110 and 8 to 45 (4.5 mph max). Should give me a better workout while in standing mode!

    • @Ragnark1

      I forgot to mention that to cycle through the codes press the power button on the remote (you can also briefly press the small button on the PCB). + and - on the remote are used to increase and decrease the values respectively. I didn’t test whether or not the increase and decrease speed buttons on the handle bar work in the maintenance menu.

    • @Rudyworld
      @Rudyworld  ปีที่แล้ว

      This is great stuff, I appriciate your very detailed explanation. The main issue is that the newer models no longer have that button so, how to get to the menu is unknown. I'd like to get my new one back to 3.0 vs 2.5. If you have any ideas, please let me know. Awesome work!

    I just did the lubrication and had a nightmare trying to get the belt from sliding side to side and still feels off, the rear of the machine is now making a noise like it’s to tight but I don’t think it is

    • @Rudyworld
      @Rudyworld  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes the lubrication is a nightmare for this product. It would be nice had they came up with some opening that you oil it with. Unfortunately they never come lubricated and sometimes not tensioned correctly. I said in the video that this really takes time to properly tune it. The screws need to be even, equal amount of turns. Over tightening will not cause rubbing noise, it could damage the belt. If you are hearing rubbing noise, it is most likely the safety guard a small plastic piece under the treadmill that is rubbing against the belt.

    • @Rudyworld
      @Rudyworld  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The technique I use is I turn it over on its side or flip it over. I remove the screws from the bottom. I then shine a flashlight in the holes to make sure I got all the screws out. The challenging part is that the top panel is slid just a little bit into the slides, it has a little lip. Very light bending is needed to get that out but not too much since that panel is plastic and will break.

    If your remote stops working, follow these steps!! (Found on a super old video)
    If you push the power button of the remote control, and there is a red light on the head of the remote control, indicating that the remote control is no issue.
    If the light is not on, the remote control battery is dead or remote control damaged.
    Unplug the Red safety lock, turn off the power, and turn on the power switch again.
    After confirming that the remote control light is on, press and hold the start key of the remote control for 1-3 seconds, the treadmill will make a continuous "Dididi" sound, indicating that the remote control and the treadmill are matched successfully.
    Finally, put the Red safety lock in to start the treadmill.

    The red on/off switch is stuck (in the off position) and will not flip on. Would this potentially be related to the fuse or do I need a new on/off switch? Just trying to sort out if the on/off switch is simply broken or if it’s related to something not allowing it to flip to the “on” position.

    • @Rudyworld
      @Rudyworld  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Was this unit damaged? Did you get it this way? The switch is very simple and shoukd flip even if the fuse is blown. I have looked at the setup and it can be replaced with parts from various vendors on line. I am not sure if the terminals are regular screws. I do know thst some of these do have a built in fuse. I can look at covering that in future video. What do you think?

    Hi Rudy! Thanks for all of these videos. I have this treadmill. I purchased in 2020 and used it quite frequently for a while and then yes, it slips right under the bed. Anyhow, It has been used moderately over the past few years. It started to act up with abruptly increasing or decreasing speed while walking. It definitely would smell like something was burning. It then started to make a loud squeaking noise. I first made sure to lubricate it and then I took off the top cover and made sure to gently vacuum what i could. I also oiled the front right wheel as directed in one of your videos. When I observed the inner workings while the machine was running, I can see what is making the noise. It’s the wheel that is attached to the motor. My real question is - is this worth paying someone to fix? Is this something that a beginner (like me) can fix? Thanks in advance for your input. I hope you have a great day.

    • @Rudyworld
      @Rudyworld  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jen, thank you for watching not just one video. I appreciate that. My hat is off to you on taking on the deep-level maintenance. The great thing about videos like mine is that you can see all that is involved in the task and you can decide if you feel comfortable doing the task. That roller tends to squeak. I have sprayed with with just a tad of WD40. Being careful not to spray anything else, especially the electronic board. I would give that a shot. You said you are a beginner but, I am impressed that you took it apart, even more with getting it back together.:) As far as cost that is a hard one. I know having technicians come over to your house can be pretty expensive. Keep me posted on what you decide and I am here to help.

    • @Rudyworld
      @Rudyworld  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ordering the oil and doing the lubrication is definitely a step in the right direction. Does it still power on? This code means that the board and the motor are having issues communicating. If you feel comfortable check the fuse. That is the first and easiest step. The smell could be the motor or dust in or around the motor. Keep me posted.

    I figured out how to fix the speed not going above 2.5 or 3! It’s a chip in the top bar that needs to be in the correct angle. It probably fell out of place during shipping.
    To get to it you have to unscrew all the screws on the bottom of the top bar and the two top screws on the side bars. Pop off the cover and you will see the chip. You have to test by holding the chip in different angles to find the correct position. Then fasten it in the correct position. Ours was vertical with the small side pointing up towards the ceiling.

    • @Rudyworld
      @Rudyworld  ปีที่แล้ว

      Interesting, are you talking about the chip that is on the side of the LCD display? So, it's not correctly soldered in? Are you saying at one angle it will go 2.5 and another it will go 3.0 or that it will go as fast as you want without the guard up? I look forward to your answers, very interesting.

      @@Rudyworld I got an answer from customer service about the fix. Here is what they said, but a video from you would help so much!
      "One is to start the treadmill before the riser does not stand up, and then to stand the riser up again.
      At this time, the default walking mode has been set, so it can only increase to 2.5 miles.
      If it still cannot be added, it means that the gyroscope module in the riser has fallen down, open the top cover and confirm whether the gyroscope is loose and fallen down.
      If so, place the gyroscope vertically and use glue to fix it.
      If the gyroscope is not loose and fallen down, open the plug wire of the gyroscope and confirm whether the pin in it is bent.
      Straighten the bent pin and then plug it in Gyroscope inspection video: th-cam.com/video/mY4_Z28akzQ/w-d-xo.html

      The E05 error means either the motor is working too hard because it is drawing too much current. I would do the realignment that I talked about. If it runs until you step on it. It could be that the belt is too loose. This was the case when I got my second treadmill in from the factory. Loosen the two bolts then tighten both of them the same amount half turn on left screw half turn on the right screw. Test run it to make sure it stays straight and tighten it. Then carefully get on and at low speed see if it slips. If it slips tighten in small increments like quarter turns. This should help. Be careful not to make it too tight. Keep me posted.

    My treadmill smells after about 15 minutes of use. I've had it since July 2020. It seemed to be fine in 2020, but by 2021/2002, there was a period where I didn't use it for a year and then when I started using it again, it started producing a smell after about 15 minutes. I"ve lubricated the deck a few times and that doesn't seem to help. Maybe it needs more lube still? Could the belt be rotting?
    Or perhaps the motor? That seems most likely. I think it's rated for 250 lbs and I'm slightly above that now, but wasn't when I bought it. I mainly use it for walking at a standing desk at 2mph or lower. I also used an electric air blower on it after I unscrewd the bottom panel in case there was dust inside the motor. Still produce a musty smell that fills my room after a short period.

Some of these fuses can be found in local stores like Walmart or Autozone. The important thing is to get the value from the fuse. Each fuse has a rating. Hi! Your videos have been so helpful! My issue is that the U05 error is coming up when I turn on my treadmill. When it begins powering, the belt doesn’t move. I’ve lubricated it and the fuse looks just like yours does in your video and I’m not sure what’s going on. I’ve attempting to make sure none of the wires are loose connecting to the motor. When it does power on before it’s supposed to run I have heard a very low ‘hiss’ sound from the motos but that turns off after a couple seconds. I only hear this when I pop the cover off. Sounds pretty standard for a motor. Any other suggestions? I’m desperate! I’ve had this for about a year. This has happened once before when I was stretching on the treadmill and pushed onto the belt too hard causing the belt to move while it was not running. After a couple days I pushed to the opposite direction and the error code went off. Unfortunately I feel like I’ve exhausted all options because that did not work this time. I don’t know if it’s worth hiring someone to come fix it since I got this for about $250.

      My channel has a dedicated play list for the Treadmill Costway 2 in 1 Superfit. This video should help th-cam.com/video/7_SnDcZFfe0/w-d-xo.html. The key is to back out the bolts as far as they will go. Adjust the belt to the center. Loosen the two bolts all the way out. Then tighten them at the same time. For example half turn left screw half turn right screw rinse and repeat. Then turn the belt on at low speed. See if the belt stays centered. be close to the power switch so you can turn it off if it goes to the side. If all goes well speed it up, if it goes well then step on the belt at low speed and see if the belt slips, tighten until it stops slipping, be careful not to make it too tight. I hope that helps, let me know if you need anything else.

    Hi, my treadmil smelled like burning plastic so i libricated it. I did it the way you did in one of your videos by loosening the belt. When i tried to tighted again and turn back on the treadmill, the belt wouldnt move after i stepped on it. What should i do ?
    Also, i unscrewed the bolts at the front by the motor because i thought if i did id be able to take off the motor cover to see it, but i couldnt so i put them back on. Do they have anything to do with why the belt wont move ?

    • @Rudyworld

      The front covers click in. When you say it does not spin. Does that mean the motor does not turn or it slips so bad that the belt does not move? If the belt does not move it could be too tight if it is too loose it slips. If the motor does not turn for a little while it will burn it up hopefully blows the fuse before damaging the motor.

    • @Rudyworld
      @Rudyworld  ปีที่แล้ว

      It could be the motor drawing too many amps. It could also be the type of plug and the rating on that plug. When houses are wired, they have a certain type of raiting on the wire and the plug. Kitchen may have more tolerance. If the treadmil had issues it should blow the on board fuse. You may ask to see if you can get your outlet checked by an electrician. The other thing that could cause issues is if the belt is too tight and the motor really has to push to get it going.

      I would look at my videos, I have a few that talk about adjusting the belt. I have seen the treadmill show up with the belt lose. Aligning the belt is the most difficult maintenance that you have to do on this machine. Look through my videos on alignment. Find the time when you are not rushed find a show or jam to some tunes and perform the alignment. It does not take much, just a little angle on the back roller to send it to one side. The grinding sound it the belt hitting the safety device underneath the treadmill. If left that way, it will start to sread the belt that you walk on and or rip off that protector. It really needs to be aligned before further use.

      This should hopefully be an easy fix. Your treadmill came with a little red square that has a cord attached to it. The red square needs to be attached under the red railing. Even if you operate the treadmill with the bar down, this red square needs to be attached. This is a safety device. When it is installed the treadmill will run. The other end is designed to be attached to you. Should you fall it will pull itself out and stop the treadmill. Also if not installed then it will not run and give you the e07 error. I hope this helps.

    My E07 on the treadmill beeps when i turn it on and stops before i put the safety stop on and it wont run. Any suggestions? I have tried all troubleshooting possible. It turns on but wont run. Help??

    • @Rudyworld
      @Rudyworld  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

    My bar connection assembly broke and I wanted to rig it to work without the bar since it wouldn't stay up anymore. I figured out that the small board that connects to the magnet has to be elevated "vertically" to allow full speed to function. Donr ask me how since it is a dinky board with no clear gyro or sensor on it but I mounted it horizontally underneath and was limited to 4.0 on mu machine originally and it did not work tore apart the entire machine to confirm nothing mechanical and just hard reset and flipped the physical location vertical and it now returns to allow access to 12.0 speed. I Hope this helps someone. 😂

    • @Rudyworld
      @Rudyworld  ปีที่แล้ว

      Unofficially, I can admire tinkerers like you and myself to make it work. The only issue I see with it is actually the safety. For me, I don't take it past 3.0 with the bar down, I think the newer models lowered the speed a little bit. For me, I'd have to have that bar to grab on to should something go wrong and the magnet to turn it off if it gets pulled. I do love when people share, that is what it is all about making things work again.

    My treadmill is brand new and the belt keeps slipping to the left after a few steps. I’ve used the tool and straightened it twice (counting the turns!). I even have a level out and it appears to be level. It’s making noise like it’s rubbing so I’m afraid to use it! What else can I do?

      @Rudyworld  ปีที่แล้ว

      Have you lubricated your new treadmil? I have two of them now and the belt was fine on the first one but the second shipped with a loose belt. It will be a little rubbing but with proper lubricaiton it should be much. Other thing you may want to look for is to see if the belt is streight, there are safety devices and if the belt start to slide to one side, it will hit those and that will produce a lot of rubbing. I recommend you look through my playlist for this tredmil and ask questings, here to help th-cam.com/play/PLDolPKHkpPfFPRon7Ot4n8NUbB8YdGrjY.html

      I assume you are refering to the bar that can be laid flat or are you talking about the black arm rests that when installed you cannot fold the treadmil? If you are taking about the assembely with what looks like a bicycle break, there are nuts that can be tightened on the left side of the treadmil. You have to carefully pop off the plastic cover, release the break tighten just enough to make it secure. Let me know if you need more details.

      I purchased mine in February so mine is a newer unit.
      It's possible GoPlus has elected to streamline their manufacturing by including the same PCB but with different settings for different units. This technique might work with other treadmills from them.
