I grew up just 10mins away north of Brick Lane and my doctors was on the other side of Brick lane past the brewery and mosque. We would often by bagels and cheese cake slices from the nowfamous bagelplace. Now I live in Germany and as I type my comment a sense of nostalgia passes over me. The place in my childhood no longer exists, still I have happy I moved on
Excellent tour, Julie, and I love those groovy sunglasses! I think it's great that the beautiful old buildings and the history of the area haven't been obscured by too many modern touches or unsympathetic alterations.
@@aladyinlondon It is also worth taking in Nicholas Hawksmore's Spitalfield church when it is open at the top of Fournier Street. Peter Ackroyd has written a splendid biography of London which will give you a real feel of how London was and is.
Was in London a couple weeks ago. I only got to see Wembley, parts of central london, paddington, Westminster, Clapham!! Definitely need to go back and check out brick lane!! Great Video!!!
