@MinimumWageREI I thought that’s the way I said them! Nonetheless my bad, I have heard their names quite a bit from watching Thomas this past week vs Houston and Philly with Richards, names 😂
@GSLINGFOOTBALL yeah, idk if you're a Cowboys fan, or more of a national guy. Their names might never come up again on your show. I just wanted them corrected for the record.
I did think about both those guys. They would have to sacrifice not going running back on Day 2, but maybe they pick up someone in free agency this time lol.
With pick #6 there's no way they will pass on WR Tetairoa McMillen or RB Ashton Jeanty if they're sitting there. I'm a big O-line fan but damnit either one of those players will shore up a big weapons problem we currently have. After that, they can go get a big O-line guy.
Dominant D lineman is harder to get than a RB/WR. We have had run D issues for a long time. Second round there will be a bunch of good RB/WR's available.
Yeah I think Graham is the real deal. I would be shocked if he’s not a top 15 DT in the NFL with the potential to be a pro bowl/all pro type guy. He is a top end talent, and I just don’t think you find guys so technically far along as Graham is at such a young age. TMac, Burden, or Jeanty are great options definitely will not deny that, but that run d and interior has been such a gapping hole. At least offensively they have Lamb and Dowdle, granted Rico is a free agent, but I agree that there will be some strong talent on Day 2 to find a good WR and RB.
What we SHOULD do is trade Micah for a boatload of high Draft choices; we should but Jerry won’t. If we make him the highest paid defensive player in the NFL then our Cap will be so tight we won’t be able to get it on! And with another 1st Round Pick or two, we can REALLY improve this team.
Unless they draft or are within range of drafting Abdul Carter, I wouldn’t consider that, because I think Parsons is too big of a difference maker to let go, that’s just my view. They have enough cap space to figure it out, and they actually have been conservative with cap over the past season or two.
@ honestly it’s way too early and most of these guys will probably be gone before Cowboys picks. But your analysis of the current roster and needs was eerily spot on even when I kinda of disagreed, after some thought I had to acknowledge that you were closer to reality than a bleed silver and blue with blinders on fan such as myself. Looking forward to future content.
😂 I’m that way with the Jets!! Heck I feel like my worst drafts are for the Jets because I’m just so set in my ways!! But nah definitely not perfect with my evaluations, just kinda rough estimates on what I have watched from the this season’s Cowboys games. Nonetheless too kind bro really appreciate the 🔥🔥🔥
Do you think Ben Johnson would be a better coaching option than Belichick? Johnson is an excellent play designer (which Dak needs) and Belichick as a head coach only has 2 winning seasons in 28 years when Brady wasn’t his QB 🤷🏾♂️
I think Bill will get that defense back into a top 10 level defense. Offensively wise, Brady probably carried them in that regard, which made for a great pairing between the 2. And with the Cowboys they could at least be solid especially with a top 5/10 defense. Dak may not be elite, but he’s a good QB, so they should be able to hold there on offensively wise as well. Ben Johnson would be a great hire too. There’s obviously a little more unknown, but he could really elevate the offense.
@ I agree BB would improve the defense. My only concern is that in today’s NFL teams that get to the Super Bowl are teams with offensive minded head coaches because the rules give offenses so much leverage. Great content and I love your draft and FA proposals.
Offenses have seemed to be the reason teams have won the Super Bowl lately. Defense still important, and I think a good example of that is Spags is such a great defensive coach, it propels the Chiefs with their offense. Unfortunately you just have to be good on both sides to truly be dynasty level, like the Chiefs Reid/Spags/Mahomes or Brady/Belichick. Can Dak/Belichick be as good as Brady/Belichick, more than likely no, but I do think they could make a good team especially if they can find a solid OC.
Yeah I could see them going WR. I like going Graham on the interior cause they really need help their. Abdul Carter would be a great pick if he’s their.
Absolutely loved the moves you made, if the Cowboys stay in the top 10 they should draft Mason Graham but if they trade back they should definitely take Jeanty, either way they can’t go wrong. Keep up the amazing videos 🙏🙏🙏
Couldn’t agree more! And hey that 1st rounder may turn into a top 5 pick here soon, not sure how many more games their gonna win, so team trade down might be another great option, love Jeanty in that scenario!

I think that strategy, and I am hoping Steele can play more like he has over the past couple of weeks. He doesn’t need to be amazing, just not a liability in pass pro!! But Jeanty with this new OL with Hoffman, Beebe, and Smith on the inside could be 🔥🔥🔥
The reason is Gayton is a right tackle they’re playing him out of position. Left tackle is a position of speed or right tackles is a more power position. He needs to be on the right side. Never say never, but I imagine it would be very tricky to accumulate all those picks especially picking in the teens now. They do need to seriously think about that with the line. I will say the line has looked decent of late, especially in the run game, so hopefully they can take some of these moment into next season, but whether they move Tyler to LT, and move Guyton back over to RT or try Asim at LT and Guyton at RT, they have to figure out what is there best grouping.
Move Bebe to rg, guyton to rt draft a top LT center in free agency, Draft rb1, wr1, LT1, first 3picks. Giving away the 4th is gonna hurt again this year.
Not a bad idea. I think it’s going to be a tough sell for them to move Guyton. It seems challenging for players to move from LT to RT, just because it seems like most dudes want to be a LT. They could also see if Richards can play one of the tackle spots.
For this season! But long haul yeah we’re going to have to find a new HC. I don’t think it was really all on Saleh, and I actually don’t think he’s terrible.
Loved everything except the draft. I think taking the small school WR is just like taking Tolbert all over again. Look at the best WR duos in the league all from big time schools high production. I would be more interested in Isiah bond or Tre Harris in round 2
Through out history that is not always the case and there are many examples of some of the greatest receivers in history coming from small schools, heck Jerry Rice, Randy Moss to name too off the top. It is a fair argument, but I think after the Senior Bowl people will be buzzing big-time about Royals! Bond and Harris are great options tho!
@@GSLINGFOOTBALL look at Jettas & Addison, Devonte & AJ, chase and Higgins, and Amon and Williams. The cowboys like to draft these small school guys just so they can prove how smart they are and finding talent. We are so behind the curve the best point of action is all big time School guys with potential.
There are a lot of great players everywhere. I think small schools guys can be just as good, so personally I don’t worry if your from Utah State or Georgia if you can play, you can play.
That would be a great pick, I just wonder if they need to work on the OL a little more and DL. Trenches are so huge, and the Cowboys have really been bad their this season. Good running backs are huge, but you also have to have the trench play to warrant the pick imo.
I actually almost did that!! And I don’t mind that idea. Heck they could even experiment by putting him at RG, Guyton at RT, and Richards at LT and see how that goes!
I think Bland is a better coverage player than Diggs. Also it seems the Cowboys defense has been way better since him returning. Now this past week vs Philly was a bit rough, in general tho I like Bland more than Diggs who has been a bit up and down.
I do think the defense of tackle has pretty deep, but I do think Mason Grandma special. Is he Quinnen Williams level Prospect? Maybe not. But I do think he’s going to be very very good, and for the Dallas Cowboys they just have not hit on an interior defense of lineman. I feel like Graham will be that guy, and there are just no guarantees they will be able to find someone later either.
Forsure, I think he’s explosive and he’s also a solid pass catcher. Maybe his vision isn’t always consistent, but I think he’s got a nice blend of explosiveness and power as well as receiving skills to be a solid starter.
Yeah I understand, and I think they need to add to the position forsure this off-season; however, I think they don’t have to get Jeanty, granted if he’s available, I would take him! I think they can find a good 1-2 punch on Day 2 tho.
I don't know if I would go Warren as good as he is just, because I think they need more of a receiver than a TE, granted Warren is pretty versatile and crazy good. I would just go TMac or Burden.
@jeromenichols1154 yeah he gets like 30 plus carry’s a game lol. I’m not super worried about it tho. I actually kinda like it cause it shows durability.
To start - this team needs to stop trying to magically turn guys into something they’re NOT - who have played one position most of their entire football career ! Who the heck does that ? DALLAS DOES - !!!and we wonder why -!!! SmDH
No way we draft O line. We just drafted 3 O linemen last year and Tyler Zmith in the first round three years ago. I disagree with you on Our o line and Dak. Daks bad pocket movemnt creates alot of sacks. Also our coach dont let us run block becasue he hates running the ball. Our o line aint bad. Its not what were use to for sure
I’m not watching a ton of OL film on the Cowboys, but just from watching the games I feel like they have had issues pass protecting. Some of that is on Dak, I do agree with you on that. A lot of times QB sacks are actually on the QB, which is why Tom Brady was so good cause he know how to help his lineman. I do think they will get better as they grow together and develop. I would still add players to the room at nothing else a guard/center depending if they want to move Beebe back to guard.
It’s just stuns me how he only got $8 million 😬 I was just kinda going off other contracts signed by players around his age. It’s not a great 1 to 1 comparison tho, so that would make sense more in that range.
He’s 5’11 and 1/2 😂 so close to 6’0. I mean he’s around Burden’s size, so I’m not super concerned. It’s more his arm length is my biggest question. I really like him tho, and I think he’s worth the pick, but the Senior Bowl will be huge for him!
Yeah I think Liufau will be the long term guy with Overshown. I really like Liufau a lot from ND. I’ll be really curious to see if Either Bell or Thomas can fill at least 1 of those roles. When they have played, they have been really good, so hopefully they can fill that spot. They will probably need to draft a guy that can replace Hooker tho. Definitely agree tho.
He is very good, and I think there’s a good chance he is back. My worry is that he could get a monster deal if he tests free agency since it is a weak DT free agency by the looks of it; however, the draft does look really good so maybe that’ll level it out a bit. Nonetheless, it will be interesting what deal he gets! He had another great game vs the GMEN!!
@GSLINGFOOTBALL It's not a knock on Liufau.. just the decision to pick him above Wilson & giving the Steelers another gift.. though I don't think it'll end up being nearly as bad as when Dallas took Taco Charlton & gifted Watt to Pittsburgh🤦🏼♂️
Interesting!! I like to hear from people who have gone to games, cause you can definitely tell a difference, so thanks for the feedback! I like Henderson, and I see home run speed personally, but I do think his vision is a bit inconsistent.
No team in the NFL is more desperate for a true RB1.. Dowdle's pathetic production is easily replaceable.. unless he suddenly figures out how to be an NFL RB there's no reason to bring him back
I wouldn’t say he has the best vision; however he’s explosive and can be a good receiving back. He may not an elite back, but I think he makes the most of his limited opportunities.
@GSLINGFOOTBALL he'll already be 27 by the start of camp next year.. he's done nothing.. if he played for anyone but Dallas nobody would know who the hell he is lol he certainly hasn't done anything to warrant $6M/per
I wouldn’t say he’s done nothing!! He’s been good with the carry’s he received. He was also a little banged up a few games ago. So for a guy taking limited snaps, he just passes the eye test imo. Not saying he’s elite, probably going to be a great 1-2 punch help and maybe $6 million a season is a bit rich, but that seems to be the range is $5-6 million. I believe Singletary, Sanders, etc are in that range.
Royals might be a bit of a reach, I need to see him at the Senior Bowl. I have a RD 3 grade on him at the moment, but depending on the Senior Bowl, could rise into that range very easily. Henderson may not start, but he also has Judkins, so for 99% of teams out their Henderson would be a starter. He’s got really good speed as well.
I like other backs more than Henderson, but I see where you’re going with it. I like a lot more receivers than royals also. I like your direction though.
Hey that’s fair, and it is so early in the process, heck this mock draft is already outdated since they have been winning games, so I will have to do another.
So, as a professional talent evaluator, who would you draft? I mean, you gave your professional opinion, so you must be ALL KNOWING!! Do your own team evaluation like he did and let us critique it..then we will see if your grading is legit.
@BobSmith-mq9je haha thanks for the backing bro!! No worries at all either way, and I respect your D+ grading. I know it’s not perfect and really is just my view on the roster, but the fun part about the draft and retooling a roster is there are so many different ways to do it. The key imo is you have to have a sound coaching staff in place, go into free agency with the draft in mind. You have those 2 pieces in tandem and that can change one’s strategy quite a bit by how you view that too, but just a lot of fun.
Cowboys have no business drafting Michigan players. Taco, Mazi, Schoonmaker all failures. Good players come from Michigan it's just that Cowboy scout can't identify them for some reason. DO NOT DRAFT the Michigan player this dude is suggesting. No!
I understand the pain. As a Jets fan, I feel the same about USC players sometimes, but Mason Graham is a different machine. He’s a beast, and he is one of the best players in this draft hands down! I would be shocked if he’s not a good DT in the NFL. You have to be very careful about helmet scouting!
Honestly, they need to get rid of dak and Zeke. They’re both slow and lazy and underperforming and they’re not worth crap. What have they done the last few years? Nothing absolutely nothing.
Zeke I’m okay with letting go, but Dak I have to disagree with you on. He was really good last season. I don’t think he is elite, and there are seasons that frustrate you I can only imagine, but he is a plus starter in the league. He can get them to a Super Bowl. I think they need to find a good coach before they push the code red on Dak.
Trading back definitely depends if they can make a deal happen. I don’t think edge is the top need. If Carter falls, I would take him, but I think interior is a bigger need. Mason Graham is amazing too imo. WR would be a good option too.
Move Tyler Smith to LT and Tyler Guyton to RT

Never say never, but I imagine it would be very tricky to accumulate all those picks especially picking in the teens now.
They do need to seriously think about that with the line. I will say the line has looked decent of late, especially in the run game, so hopefully they can take some of these moment into next season, but whether they move Tyler to LT, and move Guyton back over to RT or try Asim at LT and Guyton at RT, they have to figure out what is there best grouping.
CB Jemari Harris 6'2 175 Iowa
I gotta watch him!!
Move Bebe to rg, guyton to rt draft a top LT center in free agency,
Draft rb1, wr1, LT1, first 3picks.
@ if the next coach does his research the line could be upgraded in no time
Gotta find the right coach Jerry!!☝️
I want Ben Johnson as our HC and Robert Saleh as our DC need youth energetic new ideas 💡 especially on offense don't want no fossil at HC period
I want Robert Saleh BACK!!! Jets piss me off sometimes lol, but I love that pairing, absolute beastly!
@@GSLINGFOOTBALLyou can’t be serious…he was a good DC but a terrible HC
We are so behind the curve the best point of action is all big time
School guys with potential.
There are a lot of great players everywhere. I think small schools guys can be just as good, so personally I don’t worry if your from Utah State or Georgia if you can play, you can play.
Sorry I like Brashard Smith of SMU plus he’ll probably be there in 4th or 5th round.
Yeah he would be a great day 3 option, especially with his receiver background.
Running back and Defensive line man
Definitely some big time needs! OL/WR as well.
JEANTY IN THE FIRST ROUND
That would be a great pick, I just wonder if they need to work on the OL a little more and DL. Trenches are so huge, and the Cowboys have really been bad their this season. Good running backs are huge, but you also have to have the trench play to warrant the pick imo.
Bring back Lawson, let wheat walk
Yeah that’s cool, I haven’t seen much of Wheat, but figured he’s a guy they could keep on the practice squad if they wanted.
Terrence Steele to Guard...Swing Tackle.
I actually almost did that!! And I don’t mind that idea. Heck they could even experiment by putting him at RG, Guyton at RT, and Richards at LT and see how that goes!
It’s no way that that bland rating is higher than Diggs he played hurt all season and and really healthy when he came back
I think Bland is a better coverage player than Diggs. Also it seems the Cowboys defense has been way better since him returning. Now this past week vs Philly was a bit rough, in general tho I like Bland more than Diggs who has been a bit up and down.
@ how i know he led the league in interceptions but he get burn to often before Diggs got injured he was top five and he was playing out his mind
Diggs was pretty dang good before the injury too, but I think Bland covers more smooth. Diggs is better off the line, both are great playmakers.
This DT class is deep and Graham might be a good player he isn’t anything special.
This Draft is Gold!! Jerry Hire this man!!!😂
🔥🔥🔥 Thank you so much!! Man I could only dream lol!
Why not also restructure Lamb?
Yeah that’s an option, but I’m a bit old school on restructuring, only do it if you have too.
Yall aren't helping yourselves rn and it's hilarious 😂😂😂
Yeah I didn’t expect to see this, but the running game has been excellent, and the defense has been playing with 🔥
Jets next ?
Yeah that’s actually the plan 😁
Pay Duke Manyweather whatever he wants to be our offensive line coach! O-line problem solved!!!
😂 hey not a bad idea!! Guyton certainly could use an off-season with him to work on his hand technique!!
Why do you like reco so much? Just a question
Forsure, I think he’s explosive and he’s also a solid pass catcher. Maybe his vision isn’t always consistent, but I think he’s got a nice blend of explosiveness and power as well as receiving skills to be a solid starter.
I actually kinda felt he looked better than Pollard last season, granted Pollard was coming off the leg injury.
@@GSLINGFOOTBALL you are not wrong but he is a 2 not a solid one he is forced in that role you know that is how I felt
And I would honestly went running back in the second also
Yeah I understand, and I think they need to add to the position forsure this off-season; however, I think they don’t have to get Jeanty, granted if he’s available, I would take him! I think they can find a good 1-2 punch on Day 2 tho.
I thought Zack was retiring?
Yeah I personally think he will retire, which is why I didn’t bring him back in free agency.
I don't judge on school mazi and schoonmaker were way over drafted graham is a top10 talent i would be fine with him
Yeah that’s key cause I feel teams miss out on talent if you do that. I think Graham will be a top 15 DT in the league sooner rather than later!
TE Tyler Warren 6'6 260 Penn State is a weapon
I don't know if I would go Warren as good as he is just, because I think they need more of a receiver than a TE, granted Warren is pretty versatile and crazy good. I would just go TMac or Burden.
@@GSLINGFOOTBALL Or Jalen Royals 🙏
Too much for Rico, he's probably 2yr 2.5....we need DT, S, OL(1), WR² and RB¹
I think he can get a bit more than that. I actually like Dowdle. He can catch and is pretty explosive. They need to add to the room tho.
@GSLINGFOOTBALL I'm afraid of Jeanty because Boise runs him too much. I think Rico is a 3rd guy
@jeromenichols1154 yeah he gets like 30 plus carry’s a game lol. I’m not super worried about it tho. I actually kinda like it cause it shows durability.
@GSLINGFOOTBALL since we don't need a qb maybe we can trade down and get Xtra pks. I wouldn't mind it
Yeah especially if a QB hungry teams comes up would make a lot of sense!
To start - this team needs to stop trying to magically turn guys into something they’re NOT - who have played one position most of their entire football career ! Who the heck does that ? DALLAS DOES - !!!and we wonder why -!!! SmDH
Yeah there’s just too much of a projection when you try to switch positions are different sides of the line.
@ facts - some guys don’t have it in them to change positions- to try and make that a culture is a method for disaster- aka Dallas
Huffman behind Zack WTH??
Hoffman is playing well right now, so maybe they found their RG of the future.
Would not bring dowdle back on that type of contract to me he still a good back up so maybe 3-4 mill I mean shit didn’t Henry get 8 mil per ? So yeah
It’s just stuns me how he only got $8 million 😬 I was just kinda going off other contracts signed by players around his age. It’s not a great 1 to 1 comparison tho, so that would make sense more in that range.
No way drafting 5’ 11’ wr in 2nd rd
He’s 5’11 and 1/2 😂 so close to 6’0. I mean he’s around Burden’s size, so I’m not super concerned. It’s more his arm length is my biggest question. I really like him tho, and I think he’s worth the pick, but the Senior Bowl will be huge for him!
don't bring back Hooker.. he too slow. Him and Kendricks! good lawd!
Hooker has decent playmaking skills at least. They need to draft someone tho forsure to at least add competition.
Then Burden
Yeah I like Burden a lot, that YAC ability is crazy and he's also gonna be a deep threat.
replace damone clark we need safeties of course running back wide receiver zack martins replacement
Ben Johnson asap
YES SIR!!!!!
We’re paying OSa
He is very good, and I think there’s a good chance he is back. My worry is that he could get a monster deal if he tests free agency since it is a weak DT free agency by the looks of it; however, the draft does look really good so maybe that’ll level it out a bit. Nonetheless, it will be interesting what deal he gets! He had another great game vs the GMEN!!
Liufau was a horrible pick. Especially since Payton Wilson was still on the board
I forgot he was available, but I wouldn’t give up on Liufau!! I really like him.
Oh dang that’s right that was the same season 😬 but unfortunately happens. I can imagine the teams passing on Jettas feel terrible!!
Jerry is getting pretty old, he might get confused and draft Paige Bueckers!!!!!
😂 😂 hey I could see her be the long term punter!! And or on the Cowboys cheer squad! But see could at least dunk the football on TD celebrations.
Dak Prescott is going to tank any team you configure,, he can’t run any more, and he can’t read defenses,,, 2 more losing seasons on the way
I don’t Dak is that bad!! He may not be Mahomes, Allen, that level, he’ll have ups and downs, but he’s a plus starter in the league!
T Henderson is overrated imo. Saw him play 3 times live.
He’s a thumper. That’s for sure. However, he has no special traits. Not a single one.
Who is royals? And Henderson doesn’t even start at Ohio state.
Wrong on the running back
I like Henderson, but there are a lot of good running backs to choice from. I love Devin Neal too in the 3rd.
ABDUL CARTER DE PENN. ST
We'll see how high the Cowboys are picking, but if they have the opportunity to get Carter, absolutely I would take him!
D+ on draft
Yeah not gonna be everybody's cup of team, any suggestions?
Give this man a job Jerry
😂 that would be hilarious, but thanks I would be honored!!
@GSLINGFOOTBALL true
Move on from mazi too
I would at this point! DT is a position that can take several years to develop, so at least keep him through the rookie contract imo.
MOVE TYLER SMITH TO LEFT TACKLE PUT TYLER GUYTON TO RT DRAFT A GUARD AND SIGN A FREE AGENT LINEMAN
Yeah I like that idea as well a lot and completely forgot about that before making this, so thanks for the shout!
Send schoonmaker packing..
Unfortunately that’s been a bust pick so far, maybe he can turn it around!
@GSLINGFOOTBALL we dont have time to see if he can turn it around, which is part of the reason to move on...
The cow🤢🤮boys
😂 Can even get the whole word out before throwing up, that bad lol!! But how the turn tables in that division!!
@ lol. Gotta hate on the arch rivals bro!
@mknewlan67 😆 I need to queue the Conan the Barbarian speech, crush the enemy!!
Only 1 running back?
I think between Dowdle, Henderson, Vaughn, and a vet FA they would be in good shape.
If we can’t get a top WR or Edge at 6 we should trade back and add more picks.
Trading back definitely depends if they can make a deal happen. I don’t think edge is the top need. If Carter falls, I would take him, but I think interior is a bigger need. Mason Graham is amazing too imo. WR would be a good option too.
