MG - It's harder to get a elite DT like Graham than a RB. As you kind a said, you mock to see how the talent falls and the depth of positions in the draft. A very good RB can be had with our 2nd rounder. A game changer at DT is not there in the 2nd round.
FRankly Id like to see these draft reports every week until the draft. Pretty sad I get excitement from them losing then checking the standings to see how many picks they moved up. Ideally - Trade down, pick up a 2nd or 3rd rounder, still get who you want at RB or OT/OG. Draft what you didn’t get in the 2nd and then start filling in the rest of the holes. DT in free agency would be nice but the cowboys don’t typically make good/splashy moves in free agency. Maybe taking multiple shots at DT in the draft and see who’s still standing after training camp/pre season is the way to go.
we need a 1st round wide receiver to play opposite CD and finally give us a true #2 or 1a. That will help day 1 take pressure off DAk and CD then draft a RB in round 2. we need two studs to outscore teams which will take a ton of pressure off the defense while its being retooled
That’s what I said last year when they ended up not signing a running back. They didn’t end up drafting one either. Mason Graham won’t fix all of your run stoping problems but Ashton Jeanty will fix most if not all of your running back problems.

The offensive line can easily be better all they have to do is move Tyler Smith to left tackle permanently and move Steele to guard and draft a guard move Guyton to the right side the line would be better.
The line would be much better if we were run centric. It makes you more physical. Makes those defensive lines take a second to think because if they fire off to pass rush and get mauled by a down hill run blocking linemen they’ll stop.

The Cowboys need to weaponize the offense. They can't score which compromise the defense and putting DC Zimmer in a no win situation... Actually the 1st move is getting an OC for we must have a better offensive strategy going forward. McCarthy's attempt as we are seeing using last year's strategy isn't working and no ground game is what sending the fans home but with a more sound offense they'll stay in the stands. The defense will be improved by just having a better offense and it's not like they need a whole lot pieces as it is and there should be some spending cash available for a couple of key pickups. .
