Cuteness level is high for this agamid lizard but a ferocious predator nonetheless 😊

Hi Jonas 😊 First of all I am no lizard expert. So you better find some online community who keep that lizard as a pet as well to talk to. I only know what I witness in the wild. I have seen your species of lizard on numerous occasions in low land tropical rainforest in SE Asia, moving a lot and jumping from tree to tree. So my guess is that in captivity they need a lot of space and a warm and humid environment, slightly cooler at night maybe. Some lizards also need a UV light source, or vitamin supplements to make up for the lack of sun in a non natural environment. They are mostly foraging in trees and bushes so I suppose that they eat anything that moves in there small enough not to have to fight it too much. In a rainforest that would be a whole variety of big insects mostly. You can not compare captive animals with wild ones of course. Make sure it has either a varied diet, or one with supplements from a specialty shop. Avoid feeding wild insects since they can carry parasites that make your pet sick. There are a whole bunch of online shops that specialize in the needs of captive reptiles. Best google a bit and get some additional information from these store owners too. Usually these people know their trade. Good luck with your pet. Keep it happy and healthy 😊👌
