    Thank you Garry, I loved this! I sailed across Bass Strait through these islands in an open couta boat a year or so ago and very much enjoyed seeing the historic footage of similar open boats working these islands in the golden years 🙏

    I met Alf and Brian Stackhouse on Deal Is, when I was a kid living there. My Father was one of the 2 Lighthouse Keepers. Stackhouse Bros had Sheep on Deal and used to come to shear with a crew, There was an old shed and etc on the Island. Cant remember their boats name but it was a 2 mast Ketch.
    I would love to see the Island again, but doubt that, spent 3 1/2 years or thereabouts of my childhood there.. Loved it

    My dad said to many farmer's squandered the money in the fifties and then cried poor a few years later , put money away for a rainy day
