I just started playing 3 days ago.
Where I had issue is incrwssing the level of the guy taking the gold up. I have enough gold waiting to be taken up but I can't increase the level cos the requirement is high and yet to meet it. Guess I will live it for 5 - 8 hours. It would have accrued a lot but then.

I am not sure if I understood you in a proper way. In case if you're waiting for gold to be taken you need to increase your elevator level. On higher levels you'll need to wait a couple days to upgrade at least one level of a floor
