Something great in this episode I feel gets overlooked my many, is that Gojo actually told her why he was uncomfortable!
I mean just think back at how the first cosplay went down, he wore himself out to the ground without giving out as much as a peep how he was doing.
Him feeling secure enough with her to voice his concerns is a huge step!
Also, all the way back in the first episode, Marin told Gojo that he should stand up for himself so others don't walk all over him like making him do clean-up duty. He's learning via Marin to stand up for himself.
And the fact that she, in turn, respects this newly communicated boundary without question or hesitation.
She teases him about it, but doesn't for one second try to pressure him past it.
I love the detail that Marin sets apart from the other girls Gojou met. Juju and Shinju both wore his clothes. Juju his shirt in ep 6 and Shinju his uniform in episode 9, both he did not feel anything but it’s different when Marin wore his PE uniform 😊
Oh yeah, Marin was 100% not kidding about sending those pics.
And I think Marin and Juju had been talking about Gojo after they went to scout the abandoned hospital. When Marin takes Gojo's picture at the beach, she says, "She's right. He is wonderful."
Then, after Juju finds out what he did for her sister, she says to herself, "You really are wonderful." I suppose that Marin could have been talking about one of her friends from school but we do get that scene at the beach right after the one with them with Juju, and they both use the same word to describe him.
Also, I think Juju might have had some sort of awakening when Marin grabbed her face and tilted her head up.
At the beach, Marin was talking about how Gojo looks wonderful with the backlighting, just like what Inui (Juju's younger sister) said back at the hospital.
You gotta admit Marin knows how to work in front of a camera. Gojo is great at making the clothes and Marin great at wearing them. They’re a super team.
Next episode is gonna be wild LITERALLY WILD 🤣 Goodluck alana don't close your eyes and savor every moment.
Someone has to let these two know they are already dating. They go shopping, eat, go for a walk, visit each other's houses and even talk about limits... It's a relationship, they just don't know it yet.
Im pretty sure thats what the kids these days call the "Talking phase" lol

Veronica looks almost identical to Ramlethal, who has off-white hair, white eyelashes, shark teeth and a dark skin tone.

She's not jealous of Inui wearing g Gojo's clothes. She's jealous that the 2 of them spend the time together alone in Gojo's bedroom.

she's jealous that that too but the fact that it was his uniform and that - in her head - Inui has gotten 'closer' to Gojo plays a part in that.

Gojo keeps reading these dates she keeps dragging him to as purely platonic. But I absolutely love that Marin doesn't seem bothered by this, she seem to understand that just being friends is a big enough step on it's own for Gojo. What he needs right now is a friend, so for his sake this pace is good enough for her. And she can probably tell something will develop sooner or later so there is no reason to rush

ngl i relate so much to this show especially this episode because back in highschool, i was very shy around girls. i'm not exactly the loner type like gojo, i am lucky to have many friends, but girls are just my kryptonite.
and there's this one girl that i'm very close with, and she LOVES to tease me and that "would you like me to send a picture to you?" is taking me back to memory lane 😂
Well Marin just won Girl of the Year 2022 in the #9thATA, can't really say I'm surprised nor displeased.
Making the outfits for the Hina dolls is Gojos whole thing his Grandpa is like the masterclass doll maker with crafting and drawing the faces but Gojo isn’t that good at it so he makes the clothes that’s why he’s hard on himself about being “lazy” at his craft he’ll become a master craft Hina doll maker one day and AOT TOMORROW ALANA!!🔥🔥IM SO EXCITED!!

Sometimes I can't tell whether: Gojo's missing all of Marin's signals or not, but they're adorable.
I think he's doing the modern guy thing.
Gojo really likes Marin. He liked her in concept even before he found out how vibrant, dedicated and thoughtful she is. As a modern guy, though, he has to assume any "signals" he sees are his own wants tossing a bias into his perception. Is isn't accidentally dense. He actively disregards what he sees as false flags out of respect for what he THINKS is indifference (or friendliness, at best) on Marins part.
In short, he thinks she might be Canadian.
I think it has to do with Gojo's lack of socialization. As far as we know, he had no friends before this. He concentrated on his hobby and school and didn't interact with anyone, male or female.
@@wewarren68 Yeah, he has no frame of reference for this at all. Before he met Marin it doesn't even seem like he watched a lot of TV or anything. So for all he knows this kind of behavior is totally normal among opposite gender friends. That excuse only stretches so far though, at some point Gojo needs to start picking up on stuff or it's going to start to be ridiculous no matter how good of an excuse the author wrote for his social density.
@@chriswhinery925 Its all that and more though, you have to remember he sees Marin as above him, so he won't read those signals because he doesn't believe there's a world where she would be into him. at the same time this dissuades him from ever making any advances, for fear of losing his only friend.

The one thing I tell people when I recommend this show is that, yeah there's fan service but if you put that aside this is a really wholesome anime

IIRC, in the manga it's explained that she doesn't tan naturally, just gets sunburnt, I guess something like that foundation is the only realistic option for her.
Since she likes to cosplay a lot of different characters it's the best option even if she could naturally tan. If the next character she wants to do is paler that would make it harder. You can intentionally tan but there's nothing you can do to get rid of the tan when you're done except wait it out, which can take a while.

I kind of get the feeling that, to some extent, Juju has a crush on both Gojou _and_ Marin. That flash in her eyes as Marin held her chin? "I thought I fell in love at first sight with Wakana Gojou's costume, but maybe that wasn't the only thing"? Hmmm. They'd make a cute thruple! (I'm mostly joking on that front. Juju's too tsun to ever say anything, and while I think Marin might very well go for it, Gojou really only has eyes for Marin.)
Tidbit from the manga: Veronica is from the same game, "Killing Gigs", as Vanessa, the scarred nurse with the "huge rack" Marin pointed out at the cosplay event.
I absolutely agree that Gojou could have pulled off any of those outfits he tried on with the right attitude - but attitude is just the thing he doesn't have.
I think I've mentioned before that one of my favorite things about the series is how much Gojou's world is expanding, and how much cosplay is becoming not just Marin's hobby that he helps with, but his own hobby as well. Just seeing how happy he is to learn about such different designs, or creating tooth extensions.
(As I understand it, his primary job at the doll factory is making clothes for the dolls; that's limited to the range of kimono that they wear, which is why he reflects that he wouldn't have learned about such different designs if he wasn't working on cosplays. That said, we did see from Juju's introduction that some of the kimono have such embellishments as Swarovski crystals and lace, so he did have that experience with fine detail work.)

Probably my least favorite episode of this series. Its still wrapping up the Blaze cosplay and the 2nd half just feels rushed.
That said, the fact that Gojo gets flustered at the idea of Marin wearing his clothes.... when both Sajuna and Shinju already have.
