Bioluminescent waves in California - 4K

Bioluminescence is caused by the light emitting molecules of phytoplankton. This footage was captured in San Clemente during one of the brightest displays in nearly a decade. The natural phenomenon lasts anywhere from a week to a month or more and brings crowds to watch the incredible bursts of blue light. Something I never thought I'd experience and one of the nights you never forget!

Jadon Wong was super hard, tried to focus on a wave when there was a light burst and locked focus at that distance. Was shooting at f1.4, iso 6000, 1/40s

pretty rare, happened last year but hasn't been this bright in a decade...sometimes it'll go years in between occurrences
