Everytime a family member ask for money i tell them i just paid rent. Idc what time of the month it is. And yes these are the same family members who i couldn't stay with. It really is true, God blesses those who can hold their own. I will not lend another penny unless its my aunt and she doesn't need money. And anybody else can get just get 20$ or less a year once. I only give a handful of people money, and i don't expect it back. The thing when friends ask me for money, and they immediately say I'ma get you back next week. Then next week comes and nothing. Then a week turns into 6 months. Then you gotta hound them over and over. Ruins friendships. That's why I stopped lending money to friends. It changes the relationship.

My dad grew up very poor. My dad and his youngest brother both graduated college & became successful in their fields. They were not even millionaires & a ton of my dads family were constantly asking my dad and uncle for money. They had to start saying no and cut off family members. When you become the breadwinner in a lot of families what Jay-Z described and the convo UNC and Ocho had here is very real
