All who criticize MSD for slow batting is because we reached closer to the target. But little they know it's because of this huge partnership between MSD and jadeja we reached closer. With 92/6 no team directly thinks of winning. A partnership is demand of that moment. Both batsman can't play aggressively. One has to stick around with other dominating.
MSD slow batting wasn't cause of defeat. We were still in game with 23 off 10 balls. Its that throw of Guptill which was the reason why India lost the match. It's always after the game ends cricket fans look at scorecard and by margin of defeat they end up judging the player and blame him for the defeat.
Btw admin please don't blindly believe whatever said in media. They exaggerate a small issue. MSD or Rohit might have urged to take their wife in WC tour. But wife deciding hotel is too much of an exaggeration. BCCI isn't deciding hotel on recommendations of MSD wife. Also, army regiment a publicity stunt of MSD to extend his career, Seriously???!!!

Utter selection disaster , two spinners on cloudy day wasn't required . Chahal gave away most runs and Shami was not selected for the match being the best bowler for India in the World Cup. Rayudu performed much better than Vijay Shankar in NZ and home series against Australia. Moreover Rayudu was there with the team for a longer period than Vijay Shankar and had almost put an end to the No.4 batsman dilemma for the team. So of course omitting Rayudu was a foolish thing to do.
Once VShankar got injured they brought in Mayank Agarwal, who hadn't even played an ODI before and was yet to make his debut then, instead of Rayudu. So isn't that foolish ?

What the person said, was completely correct. The initial plan for Dhoni was to only retire after playing the T20 World Cup in 2020 but due to Corona it was delayed by a year and the rapidly declining form of Dhoni made him quit. If not for his poor form and Covid 19 he would have 100% guarantee played the T20 World Cup.

Kohli did not pick up a good no.4 batsman . Dk, Hardik, Pant were the kind of batsman who could change the game in the last 10-15 overs. But in semis when we lost quick wickets, they were not good enough to anchor and play a long innings.
India should open with Kl Rahul and Rohit, after 1 wicket loss should come Kohli, after Kohli should come Shreyas Iyer, after should come Pant and finally the last proper batsmen should be Hardik, the bowling attack should include Bhuvi, Kuldeep, Chahal and Bumrah. The captain should be Rohit as he is much more calm and responsible in tough situations, Kohli should still be the main man but not the captain. i think they should alternate between Shami and Bhuvi.

I don't know why people blame virat for losses again and again like in 2015 wc he wasn't the captain there but still he got blamed and in 2019 wc he again got blamed more than rohit for the loss. Not a hater but strictly speaking can't just look at numbers. Rahul was opening, Dhoni played in the middle. No matter what way you look from, the knock against WI and Eng were too unreasonably slow. In the semifinal Dhoni played a great knock, no doubt, but towards he end he should've started getting aggresive a little earlier, with Jadeja, instead of having Jadeja do everything.
