- Welcome back! Today we are going to create a boss from the new Cuphead DLC. Let's create Glumstone The Giant using polymer clay! I can't tell you how excited I was to make something from The Delicious Last Course! This turned out to possibly be my greatest figure I have ever made. I really can't believe how nicely it came out! Wow, Kero, nice work! This XL-sized figure was definitely a big success, and this was both fun and satisfying to watch. :)
I love the detail work that went into the battleground (beard-leground?) alone, and the texturing on the platform and edges looks great! It's interesting that a variety of materials can be used as bases to build around, and aluminum foil definitely seems to be a popular choice - I can see why! Also, that "smooooth" edit was great - I love that you're including more details like that with each new video.
Seeing the giant be built from scratch was really cool to watch. The stitches in his tunic definitely add a lot of polish, like you mentioned, and the eyes came out especially well! It definitely was a bit unnerving when Glumstone's head started spinning in that demonic fashion, and your remark about it giving you nightmares gave me a good laugh. XD Even though I haven't played any of the Cuphead games, I find the boss designs to be legitimately scary - even the ones that are meant to look "cute"... _especially_ those ones. 😬
Another great creation, man, and I really admire the effort and care you put into all aspects of each video. Keep it up! ^_^
Hey, thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed the smooth part, I was really happy with that! Haha yea they are pretty wacky, but so are a lot of the cartoons from the 30s. I don't know what people were thinking back then!

Looks fantastic! The puppets are particularly great: detailed and full of small touches. And holy cow the hands on mrs. Chalice are so well-made. I would not be able to do that at that scale!
I get what you mean about the white clay. I treasure green instead, because it was impossible to get my hands on it for a long time due to *AHERM* certain world events. For like a year, I was stuck without green and mixing my ever-shrinking supplies of blue and yellow. I'm so glad supply levels are getting back to normal.

Your sculpting has really improved over the time I’ve been subscribed, so don’t be afraid to tackle the hands, if anything, you can get some good experience out of it. But once again, great work! This looks like it was pulled straight from the game!!

Excellent job as always, those puppets look amazing! I just finished up the DLC and it's just phenomenal, this was definitely one of my favorite fights!

I've done all the fights, just haven't beaten them all on regular yet! I did beat all the chess pieces, I love that part!
This came out so awesome, Kero! Ever thought about using a hammer to pound the aluminum foil into a smooth shape, so that there are less lumps?

Whenever I work with aluminum foil under my clay I usually mash the foil as solid as I can to avoid the lumps, then work the top layer of clay in and smooth it out without pressing too hard. It seems to work for me tbh. Even though I more often prefer the clay look alone
Thanks! That's what I did in my most recent video and it worked much better. Although I didn't put raw clay onto it. I used a hammer to get it smashed really tight.

Good work as always! Can you make one of the phases of the howling aces boss fight? That one is my favorite! Also, I’m pretty sure the puppets are supposed to be king dice and the devil from the main game. I don’t know for sure because the devil puppet has red skin.

i use aluminium foil tape (from the hardware store) to smooth out my foil armatures before i put the clay on :) it helps HEAPS! maybe that's something you could try?

I would say the howling aces, I still haven't beaten the dlc yet though.
Great job, never played cuphead, but the artstyle is super unique, and you did a great job capturing it, as well as the elaborate scale of the boss.
PS, at 1:40, this piece of clay looks like a picture of an island, like from an airplane view.
