I was 7 years old when that lottery ball fell to the Spurs and my dad I danced around our living room, but I think I was just too young then to know what that really meant. Words cannot describe how thankful I am to have had Tim Duncan as a role model growing up, and it brings a tear to my eye a bit when I see all that he is still doing for the youth in San Antonio today. What he means and has done for the SA community simply cannot be captured in words.

when i was younger i was a beginner in basketball, and i must say, when i saw SA Spurs, i really looked at them and thought they were the empire. The dynasty that will rule the NBA for years to come. At the time i couldnt really appreciate that sort of thing and i wanted them to lose , as i grew older, my respect for Duncan and this organization is great. They dont make over exaggerated moves, mistreat their stars or cause a ruckus, they focus on what basketball is suppose to be about.

I know we took him for granted too, thinking he would always be just 20 and 10 and always there, but now it shows he is fading.

Duncan is a true champion. he not got carried to a championship, he never lucked his way to a championship, and the refs never gave him a championship like Kobe Bryany. He led his team there, beat the best of the best, and earned his championships. People don't realize how great he and the Spurs were. Spurs should've won 5 straight championships from 03-07, but bad luck got in the way. Duncan is the best PF of all time and the best player since MJ.
