Bishop Walter Hawkins, one of the most underrated songwriters of our generation. This family should have dominated the Grammys during to mid 70’s especially with the Love Alive series albums !

Kevin Bond wrote this song. The Hawkins Family recorded this on their New Dawning CD, their last family recording in 1995. Kevin produced this song on Yolanda’s Mountain High, Valley Low CD in 1999.
One of the things that made Fellowship so exciting were the many many guest pastors, musicians, singers and choirs that came to visit. Those days are long gone unfortunately

Something about Feddie's voice that always gets me. It's a bit frail but it carries a powerful spirit. And I especially love her voice in harmonies.
I remember Fellowship always the best in gospel visiting. You never knew from Sunday to Sunday who was going to be at the ship. The 9pm broadcast was an institution and I can't believe it's been dismantled. Long live the old Ship through these videos

OMG! thank you for showing Feddie!!! ive been wondering where she's been, i haven't heard her sing on anything in so long!! she was one of my favorite hawkins singers!!!!! especially on "God will open doors" and "I'm a pilgrim" she kills those two songs with that high soprano voice!!!!
