Hey family, it's a sad day for me. Kobe Bryant was my favorite basketball player. I grew up watching MJ and Kobe back to back. I was devastated when I learned that he had passed away on Sunday as I'm sure many of you were. So, I decided to create a video sharing my thoughts on Kobe, Lois Evans (the late wife of Dr. Tony Evans) and how to cope with death and some lessons we can learn from death. I hope this video serves as an encouragement to you all. Blessings,

There were other people killed in that crash. After 3 days if Kobe Bryant doesn't rise from the dead stop worshipping him!
Amen, unfortunately some of the worst things can be said when someone is grieving without even realizing it. It’s important to be quiet and ask God to help you grieve and comfort others.

My husband passed away April 2019. He would always use that phrase when your number is up it is up. I would always get so worried because I would always think of where I would spend eternity. He was a believer but never really served God. He did write a song a few days before he passed repenting of his sins and asking God to forgive him, in the song he said I feel like Jesus is talking to me.

I saw on a vid that he was Catholic and had gone to church with his daughter Gigi before taken the doomed flight to the Academy.
Being Catholic won’t get you there sadly... unless he truly relied and believing and lived for Jesus Christ & made him his savior ( I believe ) & not the religious way like Mary worship & stuff like that.

I just buried my 25 year old son December 20th, 2019. My heart and soul are in agony. He battled depression and addiction. He lost that battle and I lost my heart💔. He loved the Lord but struggled so bad. Things seemed like they were getting better. I feel lost. Come Lord Jesus

I also lost my child and it is the worst thing that can happen to anyone. I understand what you are going through an you have to trust Jesus through all the tears. He will be there for you. I know the hurt is hard but you have to trust in him.

But when I accept the call of The ALMIGHTY FATHER in my heart and mind I now understand about life and death I get new meaning to losing someone. You begin to see clearly on life because of no longer living life on what my eyes can see but how the Holy Spirit guides me.
I would definitely miss my loved ones that’s already pass but you have a sense of Peace a peace that the world can’t give us. When one truly love the ALMIGHTY FATHER and live a life pleasing to him HE gives us a higher understanding of life than if we’re just living any old way. This literally came to me at the perfect time. We just buried my dad yesterday and its been so hard. We had a rough past but we were just begining to reconcile our relationship when he was taken home on Wednesday the 22nd. He gave his life to Jesus and got baptized a few years ago so we know He's with Jesus❤. Thanks so much for this video 🙏.

The title of the video mentions Kobe passed, why did you have to mention Kobe too under her post? Tori was just sharing about her dad's passing. There wasn't any acknowledgement of what she shared, and that looks really insensitive. The loss of Kobe has affected many of us, me included. Let's take care in how we respond to each other. When my mom died Allen, I had to go back to work because I couldn’t stand to just be at the house. I kept praying, reading the Bible, and listening to you 😊. I was mad at some folks, but I was never mad at God. I can finally think about my mom and not cry. I realize I will see her when I reach the other shore, but I still miss her. Lois Evans homegoing service really moved me, because she left a wonderful legacy, and I started thinking of my own legacy.
I've been a laker fan since the shaq and Kobe day's. I was heartbroken when I found out he passed. I cried and even my wife cried. But one good thing I've seen since his passing is that it's brought alot of people together and making us appreciate everyday and that every moment is a gift from god

When my wife told me about the crash, first thing I thought was "Lord is he in your presence right now or in holding waiting for final judgment"...then I heard Tracey McGrady tell a reporter that Kobe would often say he wanted to die young with a better career than Jordan so that he would be immortalized and that really made me think about his spiritual affairs...I mean no disrespect to the Bryant family but people are quick to pour out in mourning over the death of a person of renown that they never even knew but they don't even appreciate their own biggest fans that surround them everyday: a mother, father, brother, sister, a best friend, children...my point is it's ok to admire one for their gifts but be careful to idolize no one or exalt anyone above GOD...being able to do something incredible with a ball is trivial if it bears nothing of eternal value, if it did nothing to serve Christ...one could say if it weren't for "so and so" I wouldn't have been inspired to do this but how many say "it was because I saw GOD in "so and so", that I was led to Christ and was saved..." let us pray for Kobe's family, and those who don't know Christ and let us pray for our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ to be bold and serve with courage to store up treasures in Heaven...I love you guys. May Christ bless you and keep you til Kingdom come.

@Chanel Wafuana According to Tracey McGrady...he did say that he changed his attitude about it once he had children...I'm not trying to be insensitive but I'm pretty sure Kobe was Catholic...now, I know there are many people who subscribe to the idea of being a "good person" and that GOD wouldn't punish a "good person" but that is new age theology...I don't mean to speculate the mind of GOD either but GOD is the same today as HE was yesterday and will be tomorrow and although we no longer live under the old covenant, I can't fathom how one could think GOD will give them favor and protection while continually denying HIM...again, I don't mean to be insensitive, I'm just stating that many nations have fallen because of their lack of reverence for GOD, HE smited disobedient nations for arrogance and idolatry...it's sad when people die and I know the position I'm presenting is probably unsettling to some but GOD has a permissive will and a divine will...GOD reveals HIMself to all of man but most want to suppress the truth because GOD is inconvenient for those who want to be the god of their own life...I hope in their final moments Christ delivered them into HIS mercy and grace but that story is written, let us pray for revelation for his loved ones to turn to the True and Living GOD, Jesus Christ...not Allah, not Buddha, not Confucius and certainly not the pope.

I lost my Sister suddenly in October. She was found dead in bed. While that seems like a tragedy the great tragedy is that she left this world unprepared and that has been a far greater grief! Pray for one another!

@@mandycote5662 Not all overdoses are due to illegal drugs. Many times it is prescription drugs and the person accidentally takes the wrong medication at the wrong time. Or accidentally mixes medicines together that shouldn't be mixed together.
I tell myself all the time, that I don’t want to leave this world until I accomplish what God has put me here to do. The great gift that God has given me today, is the gift of waking up. While other families are planning funerals. We take waking up each other for granted.

I also ask my heavenly father in Jesus name to fill my heart with love righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, and meekness and forgiveness. My greatest achievement is developing a relationship with my eternal Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Ive lost my mother and fiancee within 87 days of each other, but the first thing I did was to thank my father thou art in heaven in Jesus name for allowing me to have those 2 wonderful ladies into my life. I lean on the bible verses especially the verse of do not love this world or the things in it. The reality is that we all have this day coming as everything in this world is temporary. As I’m in constant fear that God will take someone close to me away and that I’ll never be able to get over it and end up hurting myself and dying in sin . Wow . I’m a baby baby Christian. I lost my father 2 years ago....2 months after he passed my 44 year old cousin who was like a brother passed away from heart failure, then 8 months after he passed I lost my Nana. I am STILL grieving and the news of Kobe's death brought it all back. I LOVE your 7 points because I am 48 and am trying to prepare myself for the time God appoints for me to leave this side of life everyday and your points have helped me define "how" to better prepare. Forgiving others while they are alive is crucial. I let my anger at my aunt keep me from speaking with her for a year. Although I forgave her, I failed to reach back out to her. Now she is gone and I am devastated. Can’t even process that she died. I take comfort in the fact that she knew I loved her but I just wish I had spoken to her one last time. 😔 Don’t make the mistake I made. It’s not worth it.

My handicapped son pasted away in the fall of 2018. I know the devastation of losing a child, but I can’t imagine what it would be like to lose my husband and a child at the same time, nor can I imagine what it would be like to lose my father and a sibling at the same time. My heart goes out to Vanessa Bryant and her 3 remaining daughters. I pray they find peace and strength through our Lord and Savior.

My best friend died last month on this day just 3 days after Christmas. I miss her so much sometimes I just cry in my room screaming why and every time I even get slightly happy I’m always reminded that she died so young. Only 15. I lost my mother at 14 and farther at 17 I'm 24 now with my own place and a great job God bless me with when my mom died I felt free to really seek the lord and when I'm father died I saw who my real father who art in heaven is. My eyes were open I was deeply saddened but I was consistent maybe not as much as I liked but it drove me to seek the lord more!!! I thank God for his mercy and I pray for you family and the family of the hurting, and you have made a impact on my life my teacher I prayed for one and God lead me to you thank you!!!

Knowing Kobe went to church before his death with his daughter and him attributing his Religion to coping with his life during hard times. I believe He was a changed Man and Father.
Only having Jesus as your Savior and Lord guarantees heaven. There are people that go to church that don’t have a relationship with Jesus and won’t go to heaven. Jesus gets you in not your works .

My life's pains have been deeper than life's joys. I don't live a life of depression by any means but my beloved husband of 36 years & infant nephew passed away the same day, my father a year later, my daughter nlaw six months after that and my mother nlaw shortly thereafter. A very wise man once said, "you must schedule joy & happiness in your life, but pain schedules itself. "So very true. Celebrate family. Live to the fullest. Laugh often. Love deeply.❤️

My friend, minister,& potential wife passed overnight July 3rd,no warning.her niece passed the day after Thanksgiving the previous year,her nephew,the previous year a day after his birthday.i knew her for 19 years,& she was closer to me than my own family in a lot of ways.i still have outbursts& cannot be around some people who didn't treat her right,but I thank God for Brother Allen for both practical& biblical points because it resonates with my spirit.God bless you,brother!

This is sad to hear all the people who passed away on the plane i pray that God give all the families fans and friends love and peace and strength at this sad time. Death is not easy it hurt hard and sad. We all need to forgive ourselves and others enjoy your time with friends and families and we need to take time to spend more time with God first and enjoy our life's every day. I miss and love my dad and grandma they passed they was great parents they raised me and my sister i still cry thinking about them all the time it still hurt me. Thank you for that. Lost a friend last week and it was tragic and unexpected. I like the points you had because it is important to forgive and cherish those around you. I am still dealing with the grief of loosing my father from years ago that i realize now, i never really took the time to grieve properly. So yes leaning in to God is important. Thanks again

Love this.. I am a leader of my Grief Ministry at Church , because I had to go through grief and I found out on my journey I tell others if you never grieve you never love. Grief is a journey and with my grief it allow me to view God in a deeper way. And in my grief I developed gifts I didn't know I had who knew God will turn my grief in to a Ministry to comfort those who grieve. God is amazing our loves ones are not in our past they are in our future. And yes your never be normal again, but in time you will develop a new normal where you will take the love they pour in you, for you to pour in others that how you can take them in to your future. People don't need to rush through grief but allow the waves to take you in the moment like you are walking in the ocean . thank you again. blessings
Thank you for emailing me back about all this stuff. I miss my Daddy so much, he passed away earlier this month and it feels like it's killing me inside. He was an amazing man, I was given an amazing Earthy father from our Heavenly Father. Apparently God needed him more than we do, but I can't imagine anyone else needing him more than us.

Thank you for this message I wish you had this message when my members of my family died especially my mother, I was not into GOD like I am today. I was angry and I carried that angry for 16 yrs. To this day I feel I have not grieved her passing because in my family, who claim to be Christians did not teach about grieving and mourning, once my mother passed away, they were no longer in my life, they stop being in my life I raised my 11 yr old brother at the time of her passing. So, I had a lot of angry towards they and GOD, because I thought GOD was going to heal her not knowing how GOD works, here it is 16 years later, and I am just knowing how GOD works. Thank you for putting this out it is giving me a better look at how GOD works and I am very thankful that GOD loves me and not hate me, I feel more Love from GOD then what my family can ever give me. I have also forgiven them. Thank you.

I lost my best friend of 21 years to a car accident two years ago and I witnessed first hand what it's like to see her parents deal with the death of their daughter. It was heartbreaking and I see her family as my family! My heart goes out to kobey's family and they are in my prayers!Jesus comfort them! Please, take the time to tell your friends and family that you love them! Go out with your loved ones for coffee or give them a phone call! Because God, could take any of us home at anytime in a instant and it's so hard to get to a place of not regreting that you had one last phone call or time with that person. Life is so short on this earth!

Kobe Bryant was my all time favorite basketball player and this news rocked me to the core, feels like I lost a family member. I was so happy to learn that on that Sunday he passed, he attended the 7am mass at his church and participated in communion. It helped to ease me a bit because before he did anything on his task list that day, he worshiped.
