    Precious Metals & Coin, are you concerned about there being no certificate to go along with your gold?

    • @Portlandpreciousmetals
      @Portlandpreciousmetals  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Any one with a printer can print a certificate. The hard part is counterfeiting the gold! Would it feel better buying a fake bar with a certificate? or a real bar with no certificate. These bars came direct from a legitimate mint and has stayed within the chain of integrity so there is no question in my mind of their authenticity. Now, once you take it out the door and bring it back in, I have to scrutineze this bar as it has been outside the "system." Thank you for the comment.

    • @wenrug9418
      @wenrug9418 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Portlandpreciousmetals so what your saying is once i buy gold from you with no certificate walk out and walk back in. Ive now paid for a paperweight until you scrape, rub and shave the bar down to prove its value. Ill take certified assays with QR codes everyday! even if it means buying smaller sized bars that have them

    • @Portlandpreciousmetals
      @Portlandpreciousmetals  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      These bars were purchased direct from an authorized distributor of the Perth mint. As well as being a multi billion dollar multinational company they are a publicly traded company. The Fake stuff comes from factories in china, not from reputable world mints. Besides, I think you may be focusing on the wrong things. Anyone with a printer can print up a fake certificate. Making a counterfeit gold bar that has the proper weight and dimensions as an authentic one on the other hand is extremely difficult.

    • @Portlandpreciousmetals
      @Portlandpreciousmetals  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@wenrug9418 Serp, We don't scrape, rub or shave bars but if we did it wouldn't turn your gold into a worthless paperweight. You would still have the gold. I agree, It is better to have smaller units. QR codes are fine but keep in mind it is much easier for counterfeiters to make fake plastic and paper certificate than it is to make a convincible fake gold bar. Focus on the metal not the paper and plastic when verifying your gold and silver.
