Probably the best song about life that I have heard in my 64 years. And, exquisite melody and guitar playing. If I could nominate this song for a Grammy I would do it in a heartbeat. Can't believe this song was not originally one of the selections for the album.

I heard this song on the radio driving home from the market August of 2019. I didn't know they name of the song or the artist. I called my daughters and tifethercwe figured it out. This WASCTHE last conversation I had with my first born child, Delana, she passed a few days later of heart failure. This song will always be fir her. I am so glad it made it into the album. ❤️

There are people who call this "not country"? Under what definition could people call this guy not country? There's a lot of songs labeled as country nowadays that don't sound a damn thing like country to my (admittedly inexperienced) ears, but Eric Church is nowhere near any of that.

Everything by Church makes me feel something je ne sais quoi about his tone and rythm that always increases my spirits.
I think "je ne sais quoi" is the descriptor for what this song makes me feel. It's like... this song makes me feel wistful for some nondescript moment in my life that doesn't actually exist, and I don't know how that works but I wish more songs did it.
